Just wondering what the consensus is on the TX Mus these days? Is it the preferred option? I'm currently still using Cyberlink.

Hi, Just upgraded to latest release, all works well on pc. If i try to view tv on the mvp box thingy i get a blank screen, then the mvp will either reeboot or will start playback of whichever video i last watched on it....

Have had a look round the forum and cant find a post that seems to relate to this problem, any suggestions greatfully recieved...

I'm getting kicked back to the menu screen when I try and play a video_ts folder (showing as dvd extension) from the video library. it's also happening with iso files. I think this started with the change from v1.3 to v1.4 but cant be sure.

Hi!

Firstly, credits to Martin who has made such an awesome plugin to PCH! A really great achievement which has come a long way since I tried it last.

I have a problem though with ts files recorded on my GBPVR server that contains AC3 audio. All ts files with "standard" audio work fine. And that ts file that does not play in mvpmcx2 does play fine in PCH using the standard player over SMB.

I can provide the ts file for download if someone needs it for troubleshooting. However I still hope that it is some sort of configuration issue...

Any ideas?

I installed the updated MS runtime VCRedist_X86.zip first as recommended
and then tried to install GBPVR Version 1.4.7 on a windows XP system.

The installation does not complete due to this error: "Could not write GBPVR InstallDIR to key /Software/DEVNZ verify you have sufficient access to that key".

I am the only person on this system with full admin rights so could someone please explain this cryptic error message and what I have to do to get this installed? I have already gone thru the FAQs found at:
“http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/FAQ/FAQ" with no answers to this issue.

Last question since I could not find my EXACT tuner in the digital tuner HW list delineated in the FAQS" Is the AverTVHD Volar Max USB tuner supported by GBPVR? The list just says Aver USB tuner.

A couple of times I have noticed a increasing time difference between the video/audio tracks. This occurs during live TV viewing. To me it seems the video is fine (not slow or a bit fast) but the audio is the one lagging. If I go back out to the tv guide and select the program again everything is fine. I have recorded numerous movies/episodes in the last few days and haven't noticed the sync issues with any of them.

In my last post I mentioned I am running a new Vista setup with the latest GBPVR, but never noticed this before rebuilding the server.

I recently rebuilt my GBPVR box for the latest version, but I noticed that I haven't been able to view any of my AVI files as before. These are movie files which I could view with the old setup (the build from 8 months ago). When I select the file and click play, the MVP stalls for a minute then goes back to the base MVPMC screen.
I know the MVP unit doesn't support AVI files, and the back end has to do on the fly processing to convert it over.
I have 300+ 700MB avi files of my movies and prefer to find a way to make these play rather than convert them over to a MVP supported formated.

Backend GBPVR running on Windows Vista ultimate if that makes any difference.

I have a bit of an annoying issue with my setup. I have included a picture of a VLC player screenshot but this also happens when viewing on a regular TV set.
The picture should show the line/dots across the top of the frame. I enlarged the window vertically a bit so the line/dots are the top limit of the recorded frame.

Anybody have an idea what this is happening and what can be done to fix it?

I recently bought a HDHomeRun and have been having very specific problems with GB-PVR.

First, I'm not connected to cable, only OTA channels.

All OTA channels display well in the Silicon Dust QuickTV program. However, using LiveTV, the NBC channel only has audio. All other channels display very well.

I'm not very knowlegeable about H.264, and the TS-Mux recordings I am getting are very jittery. I much prefer the higher quality recordings I am getting with either MS-DVR or Cyberlink mpeg-2. Both record all channels except the same NBC one that I only get audio with in LiveTV. When recording that channel, the recording format defaults back to .ts. It immediately reverts to my chosen mux when recording the other channels without any config changes.

I've parsed through the forum and have found all manner of threads seemingly almost addressing the problem I'm having, but I haven't found an answer. I've tried several different mpeg-2 decoders to address the playback issue, but the problem remains and I don't know this is even a relevant step.

I wouldn't mind the problem except that I bought the HDHomeRun for basically one reason - to be able to record the show Heroes in HD when I'm away. Of course, Heroes is on NBC... I am also trying SageTV and BeyondTV and playback and recordings work very smoothly with each - of course, I would much rather not spend $80 to $100 in order to record mainly one show.

Attached are fresh logs from after recording first the NBC channel and then the local CBS one.

My basic system specs -

4 Gigs RAM

My current capture source setup looks like this:

#1 LiveTV HVR-1600 Analog

Everything works fine, Live TV, Recording, but here is what is happening. Lets say I have the following channel changes:

If I am watching channel 306 (QAM)...channel down to 94 (this is only available with the Sony card w/ STB), Continue channel down to 74 (available on HVR-1600 as analog and on the sony from the STB) it stays on the sony w/ STB instead of going back to the beginning of the Live TV list (bottom up) which is the HVR-1600 analog.
