Last two days when I alt=tab is see this task called MVP controller running..is this normal.i've never seen it before.
Have attached a screen grab of the window.
So my refurb turned up tonightand I managed to resist the urge to open the box until after going for a quick bike ride.....all this couch potatoe'ing is taking its toll!
So after playing with it for around 1/2 an hour ignoring the gbpvr aspect I got around to mvpmcx2. I followed the wiki and had it gbpvr'ing in 20 minutes or so...fantastic work well done.
From a fresh eyes perspective I have 2 comments:
The wiki is not to clear on the fact that if you leave the installer at defaults that it will download gbpvr and install it on your server. I had to kill the installer at this point and re-start but unticking the first check boxes....I'm guessing anyone who is going for gbpvr on a PCH has probably already got gbpvr on their server....it's not a critisism just a noob to pch observation.
The other is, once instaled when you go to the network share and run gbpvr you are faced with 3 options: gbpvr, gbpvr network, gbpvr usb...it's prbably in the wiki or forum somewhere but I think it would be good to pre-arm the user with what these mean and why there are 3 options.
So far the only problem I have is that it's fine if I browse network to the mvpmc folder on the share then run the gbpvr file.....but if I map the mvpmc folder as a media source then run gbpvr from there it doesn't launch I'm guessing it's something to do with the naming but I didn't change it, just copied mvpmc to the share name.
may someone pls get me the right direction ? i was using getTunerStatus() some time ago but I neither find my old source nor findig out using it again.
I recently switched over to the new version from an older version. I seem to remember a tag that had the original air date of a show. The only tag I could find in the the new one that somewhat resembled it was premiere. Will that show the original air date? Very rarely a show will not get tagged as new with the *, so I would use the original air date to tell if it was new. Would changing the new show detection to "Date matches AirDate" be better than leaving it on auto?
Settled back to watch Lost Volcano recorded off BBC HD - video is fine and I hear lots of whooshing water and music but there's no dialogue - even though I can see people's lips flapping. It's as if the centre channel is missing.
I hear dialogue when I record other HD programmes but not this one.
I'm running FFDshow Audio decoder for all the H.264 audio decoding, set to do no decoding but to pass through as is because it's connected to a dedicated 5.1 audio processor.
I'm living in The Nederlands and a look for some shop to buy a Hauppaug MediaMVP. Can somebody tell me where I can buy a MediaMVP (Wireless or Wired)? I have already search the internet, but i can't find a shop to buy.
I have also send a mail to different shops those sell Hauppauge products, unfortunately the tolt me that they can't deliver a MediaMVP.
I look also at http://www.tweakers.net and http://www.kieskeurig.nl for a shop. My search for 'MediaMVP' give no results.
I hope somebody can tell my where i most look or where i can buy a MediaMVP.
I recently bought a Dell Studio Desktop, which came with a "Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1200 (Model 71xxx, Hybrid DVB-T)" card. Initially I tried using media centre, but a) it couldn't find any channels, and b) it had zero options for tweaking things.
After some research, came across gbpvr which I installed and tried to set up. Took quite a while to get my head around things, but kinda went like this:
-Found the NZ EPG from mentalindustries, and set that up successfully. I can access the EPG, and at that stage when I searched to map digital channels to EPG channels, THE CHANNELS SHOWED UP! I couldn't see or hear any content, but the channels were being found.
-After some more research, fiddling with settings etc, I realised that I needed a H.264 decoder other than system default. I now have the ffdshow MPEG-4 Video Decoder (and audio decoder for AAC decoder also)
Somewhere in between those two states (can't remember exactly where) - THE CHANNELS STOPPED SHOWING UP!! Now when I try to map the channels, it does not find any.
I am really hoping that someone might know of a setting that I may have changed that may have resulted in those channels not being able to be found! The fact that I used to be able to see them suggests that I do have reception, however that they have gone is weird and very very very frustraiting!

Hi, I know this could be done with a plugin, but I like to keep things simple.
On the recordings detail panel there's Play, Delete, Close. COuld we get an "Archive" function. This would archive the episode from it's current location to another location. Basically replacing the recordings directory part path with a new path.
Eg My recordings path is G:\Recordings
Archived Recordings say \\Aragorn\Recordings
Thank you for the Weather2 plugin, excellent work!!! Any chance an "hour by hour" option could be added similar to weather.com? This is nice for seeing what time rain is expected or the how fast the temp will drop, etc. Thank you.
