Recently, I found that the recordings are not playing well. Nothing on the systems (hardware not software) were changed.
The recordings will play for a while and freeze. If it is played via GBPVR you will see the the time advances but the picture is still and no sound. If I move the time bar to a later time, say several minutes later, it will play alright.
The same recordings will always freeze at exactly the same minutes & seconds. I tried to play the mpeg file on other programs/devices, the programs/device also get choked at the same minutes & seconds.
The strange thing is I have no problem with live TV however long that I watch.
Is that my Hauppauge PVR150MCE getting to its end of life? Or it is something else. Frankly, Hauppauge PVR is getting rarer and rarer in this part of the world. If I have to get a replacement, I might as well get it earlier before it goes extinction.
Hey, just a suggestion, not sure if its been suggested/asked for before.
But how about the plugin auto updates the source templates whenever you do a cinema refresh ?
That way, it would permanently stay updated with any html changes to movie sites ?
While finally being able to select a freeview "Prime" channel on my DVB-S card today, I had another gander at the TV3+1 channel (SD TV3 delayed by an hour). It is on Mediaworks 12456 frequency, but what exactly should I add to my DvbToXMLTV.xml file to get the listings?
Hi Sub
This one is not a biggie, but I noticed the video stutters on starting an NZ digital channel or on a channel change to a digital channel DVB-T. It also happens on my friend's Gbprv box as well. You can hear the audio start and then ocasionally see a partial video frame or two, before Pvrx2 stops it and then restarts the video.
I used DXVAchecker to confirm this and you can see Pvrx2 starts the process renderer and almost immediately stops it and restarts it again.
Please see the attached snapshots of the video start-stop-start sequence.
I wonder if a timeout is tripped before the video plays the first time?
It does not happen with Analog on channel changes, but it does make channel
flicking on digital a bit slower and glitchy.
Any ideas or pointers for me ?
Thanks in advance
GBprv 1.3.11 plus updates, no plugins, HVR2200, PDVD 9 and 7.3, XPsp3, dotnet3.5, VMR9
Hi All,
Well, I've finally decided to bite the bullet and upgrade to 1.3.11, which means that I unfortunately have to finally say goodbye to the Video Archive plugin that my family has grown to love over the last several years, since I have not been successful in getting it to run with the latest version of GBPVR (if someone can clue me in, I'm all ears). Jeff is nowhere to be found these days, so I am looking for advise.
Here's my situation: I have about 1500 recorded videos scattered across 5 drives. Most, but not all, of these have entries in the GBPVR datatbase, but may not be pointing to the correct current location. In otherwords, the database may be pointing to E:\videos\show directory\show name.mpg, but the file may be sitting in G:\videos\.... as a result of past drive failures and my having to manually copy files from one drive to another. I have tried exporting a list of these from VA in the past, but GBPVR does not want to update the path when I attempt to import the list in the config app.
My bigger concern however, is in the loss of the great interface that the VA plugin had. It allowed me to have all of my videos across multiple drives, but for them all to appear uniformely in the plugin UI. In other words, I could have 5 recordings of Flashpoint on the E:\videos drive, 15 on the G:\videos drive, 10 more on the H: drive, etc., but they would all appear in VA under the Flashpoint folder together, regardless of where the physical files were stored. This was a life saver for us.
The plugin also allowed us to sort the What's New programs either by name or date, a very nice to have. It had numerous other really nice features, but these were the most important to us.
I'm looking for a good replacement that is currently being supported under the newest version of GBPVR, but have not been able to locate one on the WIKI. Can anyone suggest one that they think might fit the bill? I thought MovieWiz might be the ticket, but it seems to list all of the the recordings individually, not by folder name. As you can imagine with 1500 recordings, that is a real pain.
I've been looking at the Videos Library plugin, but it's basically just an extension of the original Video Library module and doesn't allow me to view current recordings with my older ones all together, something VA did very nicely.
If anyone has any good suggestions, I'm all ears, as I am really in the dog house at the moment with the wife and kids. I spent all the time to do the upgrade and get things working, only to find that we've lost our most used plugin!
Not sure on the mechanics of this, but it's an idea I've been kicking around for our lack of genres.
Being able to add a manual prefix to a show when scheduling, ie: "Movie:" Since most of our movies have stupid titles like "Tuesday Blockbuster Movie: XYZ"
So "Movie" would become come the Title, and "Tuesday Blockbuster Movie: XYZ" would become the subtitle.
So in the Ready Recordings list they would all show up in the same list (if you remembered to title then this way).
Hello i use to have everything setup for a while and working realy good, record and cut add with comskip-comclean and after transcode in .avi with Zprocess. Set CmdLine="C:\Program Files\Devnz\GBPVR\Third Party\ztools\ZProcess2.exe" %1 transcode 2avi auto
I have no idea what I am doing wrong. I read every post, installed uTorrent, enabled the WebUI, and I get the message "Cannot connect to uTorrent Web UI" in the plugin. I am not sure I have the IP set right in the conig setting. Seems I tried every possible combination. Can someone explain what I should use and an easy way to get the right thing to enter? (ie Run, CMD, IPConfig and use what?). I am trying this right now on a client laptop behind a Linksys WRT54G wireless router. My searches work good, but if I try to "download" it crashes out to the main menu of PVRX2 on all three torrent sites.
