I had been using GBPVR a few years ago and started it again and in that time my zap2it account has been deleted so. I started another one and now the new account will not update in my configuration. Any advice?
It is an first time installation of GB-PVR but I get athe following error message.
"Installation ended prematurely because of an error"
.net 2.0 is installed on my PC and I also run the vcredist_X86.
I tried the SC delete service in the cmd as was posted here earlier but there is no such service present since it is a first time installation I guess.
Does someone know what might cause this error?
I have a vista home premium sp 1, 3.0 GB RAM, 32 bits, ADM athlon 64X2 processor. M779 PCIe DVB-T tuner card.
I've just become a Dad for the first time, so naturally being the nerd that I am I went and bought a wifi web cam to keep an eye on the nipper......the main aim was to be able to flick on the TV in the bedroom (gbpvr from mvpmc) to see if the little munch-kin had spewed milk everywhere before stepping out of bed in the middle of the night.
So I have various mpeg4 and jpeg streams available from the camera all on a local IP, I can use the webcam plugin with some success, it works on the PC in the lounge, but when I move to the MVP it doesnt refresh. I had a look at ubustream but it seems that lack of maintainence has made it a bugger to get running on the PC.....and moving to the MVP just adds to the pain.
So I'm after some ideas.....I'm using MVPMC on the MVP I wondered if there were any way I could set up VLC to stream to the MVP.
This covers quite a few forum titles, but I'll post here for now and gauge the response.
As said in your announcement thread I am getting a black screen on my NMTs using your two latest versions of mvpmcx2. Attaching logs as requested. Let me know if any telnet testing is needed.
i have a dell angel usb tv tuner. i got gbpvr to get the sound off my xbox but i get no picture when im on it? anyone know what i can do to get picture? im using the yellow/red/white cords on the tuner so i can record
I have updated the NMTInstall program so that a new version is not required for each update. Instead a file is downloaded from mvpmc.org and you can chose the updates you'd like. All the zip and 7z decoding is built in as in control of the Recording Services.
This will control updates to GBPVR and mvpmcx2 including new versions of GBPVR too.
Version checking has also been added so NMTInstall will not overwrite GBPVR with obsolete files on an update.
I noticed that if multiple transponders provide the same channels, GBPVR always select the last one scanned (the one with the higest frequency). Which is not always the best one. In case of Digitenne, rarely is the best one.
For example, I live inbetween Rotterdam, Goes and Roosendaal, the latter is the least weak one. Because of some odd radio wave harmonics or something, I get a bit of Lopik too, but very weak. It is last one scanned (the highest frequency) so the one GBPVR picks...
My solution was to edit a custom channel file, called Roosendaal (attached), in which I used information from here to add Goes and Rotterdam first (so I get the regional FTA) but Roosendaal last, so the generic channels are taken from that transponder.
Is there someway to have GBPVR send an additional "command" after the channel change numbers are sent on to HIP? I want to be able to send an "pre-programmed exit" about 1sec after the channel change details. (The "exit" is a button on our decoder remote"
The reason is as follows:
Our satelite decoder displays channel info for about 5 seconds everytime a channel is changed. We press "exit" on the decoder remote and it clears it. This cannot be turned off on the decoder nor do we want to. But we have no control over it when a recording does a channel change.
I am guessing we can "read" the "exit" into hip on a standard button of mce remote. But how can i have this included after the channel change command is sent from GBPVR to HIP.

Hi,
Can't seem to pick up the channels. Tried installing the later version that was provided in one of the threads but still doesn't help so went back to the wiki version. It searches and then comes back, and shows none found. I am receiving Live Tv and recording of this tuner so all is working from that side, and if I use the software that comes with it, I can pick up radio stations.
If I could get this to work, it would make me a very happy person! Logs attached.
