I don't know why I do this; I always have to go fiddle with a working system thinking that an upgrade or a tweak would help an already perfect system. Well now my GBPVR setup is not working anymore and I don't know how to get it working again. Please help.

MVP,GBPVR (1.3.11) and ZProcess (2.0.278).

PVR works perfectly, however, I cannot play AVI files with ZProcess installed. If I remove the Refs to ZProcess then the AVI files play fine (with the loss of aspect ratio, as to be expected). If I add the refs in Zprocess then I get audio only with no video (using Mencoder as transcoder) or MVP reboots completely (using Ffmpeg as transcoder). Thinking it might help I have reinstalled GBPVR and Zprocess from scratch, fiddled with most of the settings unsuccesfully in Zprocess. I'm pretty sure the problem is with ZP as the avi files work fine (minus aspect ratios) if Zprocess is removed.

I'm attaching the logs if somebody could peek in there and tell me what I messed up.

I just downloaded metawiz grabber straight of the wiki and for some reason it won't display any new covers. Has something changes?

cover art already in dir displays

I search such as dark knight or independence day using the grabber alternate picks and no pics on the lookup result.

Does anyone know if there is a way to tweak with the filenaming of TV recordings in GBPVR.

I want to start using XBMC on some remote locations to grab content via UPNP form the main server that stores my GBPVR TV recordings... and if we could get GBPVR to store them in a certain filenameing syntax then XBMC could parsse the finlename and then scrape to get episode and other info...

XBMC looks to have the ability to setup regular expression info on the filename but essentially it would need season number in the filename( and episode number ideally)... in order to do a lookup and get date and summary and actors etc... ( pretty images etc...) anyone have any ideas? info?

I am thinking maybe a config setting where we can set the file naming structure from a set of choices like series name, season #, episode#, date etc...

What is the best DVD decoder/navigator out there (free or commercial)? Preferably one that uses ATI hardware decoding. I'm also looking for a navigator that can skip stuff.

My system doesn't seem to be able to handle the Hauppauge HD PVR. The CPU gets pegged at 100% when recording.

My system specs are:
AMD BE-2350 2.1GHz
2GB RAM
Radeon HD 3450 @ 1360x768 resolution

What are your recommendations for a socket AM2 processor (preferably a low-power one)? Will going to quad-core help? I'd like to get something fast enough that I can use with MythTV (in case I can't resolve my DVD playback issues in Windows).

I've done portforwarding on 7647, I've disabled the firewall.

I can access other programs on this computer from another computer on the same lan and also from outside the lan. But not gbpvr.

To avoid typos I've copied and pasted the successful gbpvr localhost login to the end of my dyndns.org address and still no joy. Other programs have no problems.

Just to clarify
localhost:7647/gbpvr works
myaddress.dyndns.org:7647/gbpvr doesn't

Can I have some pointers of where to check next?

I have set it to HaupBlast.exe, but it's still not working (I have also tried enabling the IR program that comes with WinTV but still not working)

However the remote is working with WinTV (the application that comes with the capture card).

Anyone experiencing the weather plugin could not work properly with add in new city and etc? I have noticed it's not possible to add in new city from the menu. The second problem I encountered is the pvrx display an error dialog box when certain button on the weather is activated. Could anyone help? Thanks.

My setup is a simple hauppauge pvr1800 card in a XP pro computer. I run gbpvr on my 2nd monitor. I use a cable box to tune the channels so only have channel3 configured in the software. Every time i start the software i need to run the tuningassistant to get the picture working.
