  Trouble with Hauppauge 1600
Posted by: Johnny5 - 2009-06-03, 11:32 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Hello
Windows XP
Installed GBPVR.
Ran Config
Selected Tuner -no problem
Downloaded Guide -no problem
When mapping I get no channels found. I think I have tried every config and read every thread....driving me nuts!!!
Tried the QamManager with all settings to no avail.
Picked up all digitals/QAM in area when running Wintv versions 6.0 and 7.0

Thank You

No audio in clients - where to start?
Posted by: typhoid - 2009-06-03, 06:19 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I'm not getting any audio for either live TV or recorded programs on my client. Because it's a client/server setup, I'm not certain where to start looking for the problem.

The clients are configured to use the file share method. When I play the .ts files on the client computer using WMP directly from the server share, the audio works fine.

Because it's a client/server setup, should I be looking at the client configuration to diagnose the problem, or the server?

More information, if it helps:
- GBPVR version (client and server): v1.3.11
- Server is running under 32-bit Windows Vista Home Premium in a hyper-v VM under 64-bit Server 2008
- TV Tuner is HDHomeRun
- Client is 64-bit Windows Vista Ultimate
- Logs from client are attached

  Movie Plays but "behind" gbpvr
Posted by: wadewolf - 2009-06-03, 05:06 PM - Forum: Netflix Watch Now - Replies (2)

Hello,

I have the watch now plugin installed and operating except for one problem. When I select a movie to watch it starts and plays but always behind gbpvr. That is, I can hear the sound but can't see the video as the gbpvr interface is always showing. I can close gbpvr and see the movie playing. Any thoughts? This occurs when I display using the primary and the secondary monitors.

Thanks

Wade

White Vertical Line Moving Across on Analog Channels HVR-1600
Posted by: dalabera - 2009-06-03, 02:59 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

Research the forums, the web and haven't found a solution. Decided to post it here.
Basically my QAM channels shows perfect, but on the analog side I see they are more bright and have a vertical line moving across the tv over and over.
So I'm not sure is this is to interference or low signal, but this not happens when I connect the cable trought the STB or TV.
Any Ideas??

Going nuts! GBPVR on a Hauppauge HVR-1600
Posted by: analog999 - 2009-06-03, 09:42 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (4)

I broke down and bought a different card because I need QAM support. I don't care about HD but I have to have QAM to get certain channels in my area - Comcast Seattle area. Anyway, I bought the HVR-1600 because it said it supported QAM and its listed on gbpvr. Come to find out is a 74551 LF card, which I have seen people say yes it does and no it doesn't support qam. Can anyone confirm this? I'm not having any luck with qam with either WinTV or gbpvr...

Thanks!

  HDPVR & Hauppauge blaster
Posted by: philly_phenom - 2009-06-03, 05:40 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (4)

I had to trade in my comcast box since one of the channels wasn't tuning in anymore. Much to my dismay, when I got home, the box I was given did not have a firewire port.

I've tried the using the blaster that came with it, but recording seems to be flakier with the blaster.

Has anyone here had success w/ the blaster? Any particular settings that make it work better? or do I need to go back to the office & try to haggle for a box w/ a firewire port?
