  Community-WS_4x error
Posted by: dark_half - 2009-05-30, 07:33 PM - Forum: Community Skin - Replies (22)

Don't know if I did something wrong but I am having a problem. I installed Community-WS_4x.exe and Community-WS_4x_Reflect_Theme.exe. When I try to choose Skin from the menu it displays a blank page for a minute then exits back to the main menu. Looking in the logs I see the below error. The file "CurrentTheme.xml" does not exist but "CurrentThemeWS.xml" does. Removing the WS from both the CurrentTheme.xml and thr Resources folder appaer to fix it

Code:

Posted by: Nnyan - 2009-05-30, 06:11 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hello,

Not sure what I'm doing wrong but I have an older PVR-500 card and I would like to output my PC video to that (for example while i'm playing a DVD). But I only get output from my videocard monitor interface (have an older nvidia 5200 limited output)

Thank you

  iPhone/iPod Touch webapp remote
Posted by: nkh - 2009-05-30, 04:47 PM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (7)

This is a simple webapp for controling GB-PVR through HIP ( http://www.byremote.com.au/HIP/Default.htm ) from an iPhone or iPod Touch.

It requires iphone-universal ( http://code.google.com/p/iphone-universal/ ), and the webserver to be turned on in HIP (File, Preferences.., Hip Web Server). Don't let the HIP web server be open to access from outside your network!

When the iphone-universal file has been extracted, we need to copy the (iphone-universal)\image folder to this location ..\HIP\http\UiUIKit-images
We need to copy the file (iphone-universal)\stylesheets\iphone.css to ..\HIP\http\stylesheets\iphone.css
The file (gbpvr.htm) should be placed in ..\HIP\http\gbpvr.htm
The icon (gbpvr_webapp_icon.png) should be placed in ..\HIP\http\gbpvr_webapp_icon.png

Now we need to edit the file (gbpvr.htm) to make it work on your system.
Do a search and replace on these strings (replace them with the urls to your system):
"http://192.168.1.4:81/gbpvr/Guide.aspx" is the GB-PVR EWA interface (if you don't use it, then you don't have to change it).
"192.168.1.4:11000" is the HIP web server.

It should all be working now, just type http://URL_TO_HIP_WEB_SERVER/gbpvr.htm in your browser.

You can now click the + button in Safari on your iPhone/iPod Touch and add it to your Home screen.

The html code is be pretty simple, so feel free to edit it Smile

  Can not leave 'main menu'
Posted by: pduncan67 - 2009-05-30, 02:39 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

Things were going well with my GBPVR system - but I woke up this morning to have a look at some TV, I see that now whenever I select any option (recordings, Live TV, etc) the screen flashes my selection and goes right back to the menu.
I have rebooted my PC and checked my hardware - everything seems to be in order.

Any suggestions?

  M2TS blu-ray files with LPCM audio-sound doesn't work
Posted by: bigceoguy - 2009-05-30, 01:40 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I've recently been backing up my blu-ray collection to my htpc, and some of the m2ts files only have LPCM audio for English. Unfortunately, I can't seem to get lpcm to work with GB-PVR. Is there a way to convert it to DTS or AC3 so that my htpc will recognize it?

I'm using the newest version of gb-pvr and my audio is connected to my computer via the red/white RCA connectors.

  PostProcessing.bat does not respond
Posted by: keith_leitch - 2009-05-30, 12:53 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I have just determined that PostProcessing.bat is not responding when a recording finishes. I have the batch file in the GBPVR program directory, and I have just set it to simply echo a message to a file. The file does not appear when I stop a recording or restart the recording service, but it does appear when I double-click the batch file directly (meaning that the file itself works).

Need your help setting up GBPVR with an ATMT DVB-T USB dongle
Posted by: cilevelic - 2009-05-30, 11:49 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

Hi everyone

I'm new to this - please help - I'm good with PC generally (or at least I thought I was until I tried setting up GBPVR), but for some reason I can get GBPVR to work on my PC.

My system is: Windows XP Pro SP3, Asus Striker Extreme, Intel E6700, 3GB RAM, 750GB WD hard drive, XFX GTX 260 Black, CM Centurion, etc...

I also have an ATMT (aka DigiO2) DVB-T USB Receiver, which works relatively fine with the software provided (namely TV Jukebox), but doesn't seem to work at all with GBPVR.

I're read the Wiki, followed the instructions, I've been able to add the ATMT to Capture Sources, but that's where I stopped because I don't know what to do next.....

Please help - this is getting the best of me.....

Many thanks
LC

  Cannot achieve Dolby Digital
Posted by: keith_leitch - 2009-05-30, 10:26 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Despite tuning in a number of hidef stations that feature AC3 audio, my surround sound interpreter only ever reports a PCM stream from GBPVR. I have successfully achieved Dolby Digital from alternative DVD software on the same PC, as well as from the same stations on my commercially-manufactured PVR. Seeking ideas...

  What does "Recording Quality" do?
Posted by: keith_leitch - 2009-05-30, 09:38 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Can anyone tell me the effect that "Recording Quality" has on recordings? Is it the bitrate?

  Where to go from here.
Posted by: risingfish - 2009-05-30, 06:14 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (20)

Hi everyone,

I'm having trouble getting GBPVR up and working and would like some direction.

My system is:
Hauppage 2250
Gigabyte GAMA78GM-S2H w/ AMD 4400

I'm starting off with a fresh install of XP with the latest drivers for each of the items above. I'm using Schedule Direct for my EPG info for my local Digital Cable provider Cableone.

GBPVR recognizes the 2250 fine and the EPG downloads fine. Unfortunately, none of the channels stay enabled when I try to save the settings. Do I need to map each individual channel the EPG station? If so GBPVR does not seem to be able to parse the channel information being send down from Cableone. Every channel shows up as Unknown. Sad

I hope this makes sense. Thanks!
