  Video Filters
Posted by: observer_11 - 2009-05-28, 11:20 PM - Forum: General Discussion - No Replies

Is there some way to force decoder/filter pins to connect in graph edit?

I have a TS recording from my STB box which I can play back flawlessly on 2 pcs using a very simple graph but in my HTPC I can not connect the pins from my Nvidia decoder to the video render filter. The default graph my HTPC builds is convoluted, uses an old Nero decoder, and stutters like heck.

Ohh crappp, I meant to post this in the support forum - been one of those days... can a moderator or someone please move this post ; thanks :o

  NMTInstall update problem
Posted by: trummel - 2009-05-28, 10:10 PM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (8)

I've just had occasion to build a complete new Vista GBPVR server. I used the NMTinstall to build everything, including installing GBPVR, skins and PCH stuff (all boxes ticked). I don't think I missed anything, but whilst I got the latest mcpmcx2 and pvrx2, I seem to have an old GBPVRrecordingservice - dated 12/1/2009.

I only noticed because live tv stopped behaving properly when I paused, RW or FastForwarded and had also regained a tendancy to skip back to the start of a live tv session.

Edit.
Sorry just realised this was probably not the most appropriate thread to post to. I has however been the one that motivated me to rebuild!

  Well done!

I have just taken a look at CS version4 and I must say some great work has been done to improve the user interfaces as well as the general feel and polish.
Thank you to all involved.

GBPVR wont wake up my PC to record :-(
Posted by: AndyL - 2009-05-28, 07:39 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

When I schedule a recording and put PC into standby, GBPVR wont wake the PC to record it. I have tried it with PVRX2 and GBPVR tray running, it makes no difference. I assume it is the GBPVRRecordingService.exe that wakes the PC? This service is running fine as recordings are fine (as long as PC is on!)

WinTV wakes my PC fine, so do scheduled tasks in task scheduler. So it is not as if my PC is a particularily heavy sleeper :-)

I am using S3.

Anyone have any ideas?

Thanks

Andy

Getting GBPVR working with twin tuners on Nova-TD
Posted by: AndyL - 2009-05-28, 05:23 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (10)

Love GBPVR, it is so much better than the rubbish WinTV.

My Nova-TD has twin tuners, I can get both to work fine with WinTV, proved by looking at the signal meters and recording 2 things at once.

I can get 1 tuner working fine with GBPVR, but am having problems with the second.

No matter which source I add in GBPVR config it always actually uses tuner 1 and if I add 2 different ones at the same time it crashes GBPVR.

There are 5 options for cards apparently in my machine (NovaTD, NovaTD Tuner1, NovaTD Tuner2, WinTV#1, WinTV#2).

GBPVR crashes with a .net error and a GBPVR error "unable to start device, check it is configured properly and not in use"

Any ideas please?

Thanks

Andy

No show details - error reading XML
Posted by: liteswap - 2009-05-28, 09:35 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I just deleted one of my analogue tuners and it seems to have resulted in all the XML/EPG data being no longer displayed.

In the recording service logs I get:

Code:
2009-05-28 02:06:54.031 ERROR [10] XMLTV: error reading xml: Item has already been added. Key in dictionary: '1959.radiotimes.com' Key being added: '1959.radiotimes.com' 2009-05-28 02:06:54.031 ERROR [10] XMLTV: error reading xml: Item has already been added. Key in dictionary: '1959.radiotimes.com' Key being added: '1959.radiotimes.com'
And in Config.exe.log:
Code:
2009-05-28 10:25:52.984 ERROR [1] Item has already been added. Key in dictionary: 'TVRecordings' Key being added: 'TVRecordings' 2009-05-28 10:25:52.984 ERROR [1] at System.Collections.Hashtable.Insert(Object key, Object nvalue, Boolean add) at System.Collections.Hashtable.Add(Object key, Object value) at GBPVR.Backend.Common.xc4f12ec3a8a4c96b.xd1ccdef346e6a297(Boolean x8bae2a88590d8cc0) 2009-05-28 10:26:38.297 ERROR [6] XMLTV: error reading xml: Item has already been added. Key in dictionary: '1959.radiotimes.com' Key being added: '1959.radiotimes.com'
I've emptied the EPG and re-filled it via Config but to no avail. Thoughts as to a fix, please? Thanks.

Can I add a share password?
Posted by: baj1 - 2009-05-28, 06:18 AM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (2)

I do have a question though, is there a procedure to setup the NMT to use a un/pw to access the GB-PVR box? I'm a bit of a paranoid and have always disabled the Guest Account and Simple File Sharing in XP, and would be interested in a way to do this again while maintaining the functionality of the NMT.

Thanks,
-Brad

  Live TV but no Recording
Posted by: ltkafee - 2009-05-28, 05:20 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

I just manually added a digital HD channel that wasn't being found on full scan (though my HDTV finds it no problem), and I can watch it live but recording from this channel fail.

Here's my setup:

GBPVR v1.3.7
Hauppauge HVR 1800-MCE
WinXP SP3

I added the channel based on the digital channel number from SiliconDust's website:

http://www.silicondust.com/hdhomerun/location_programs

I then grabbed a Full TS stream and used TS Reader Lite to get the appropriate program #, Video, Audio, PMT & PCR numbers. My tuning entry is as follows (I made up the N component based on the structure used by other channels - could this be the critical part? Seemed unlikely ...):

T:93,0,0~P:8~V:49~A:52~PMT:48~PCR:49~N:>8.1 WROC-HD* (000(AC3))

I can load up PVR and watch this channel in all it's HD glory, but when I try to record back in TS Mux mode, the size stays at zero and the recording fails. Recording in Full TS is fine, and I'm able to watch in full HD using VLC by switching to program # 8. I tried re-registering the filters after seeing this suggestion elsewhere in the forums, but to no avail.

Attached are the zipped logs - I restarted the recording service, tried to record off of this channel (93-8) [it seemed to try twice, as I had two files with 0 bytes, the second labeled '-1']. I then recorded successfully off another channel in the same freq (93-10). All of that should be in the attached logs.

Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks!

  can't playback DVR-MS files
Posted by: Wakalaka - 2009-05-28, 05:13 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I have a Hauppauge HVR-1250 that recorded an OTA ATSC show. The recording doesn't play back in GBPVR, just gives me a blank screen. The file does play in Windows Media Player. The default application for .DVR-MS files on my Vista system was Windows Media Center. I changed the default program to Windows Media Player, and this caused GBPVR to crash.
