Skiptool: how to add an entry?
Posted by: jactry - 2009-05-17, 01:30 PM - Forum: Burndvdx2 and Skiptool - Replies (5)

Comskip missed one commercial in my latest recording so I needed to add an entry manually. I did not figure out how to do it from the Skiptool GUI so I inserted a line directly in the Comskip output file, went back to Skiptool and fine tuned the cut there.

What is the trick, if any, to add a new cut from the Skiptool GUI?

  Arcsoft decoder black screen
Posted by: beav_35 - 2009-05-17, 05:11 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hi

When I try to play back the recordings from my HD PVR I sometimes just get a black screen and GBPVR freezes. I have to hit ctrl-alt-del and end the task to get out of it. Other times it will play back fine. My version of the Arcsoft decoder is 2.25.82.43 X86 (Apr 21 2008). I think that this version is old enough that it doesn't try to block 3rd party apps, right? I have GBPVR v1.3.11 and all the updates from the survival guide installed. My video renderer is set to EVR and all the codecs are set to Arcsoft.

Thanks

  HVR-2200 Multiplexer problems
Posted by: MTBboy - 2009-05-17, 04:13 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (11)

Hi, I've spent quite a few hours trying to get my HVR-2200 card to work with time shifting and recording of DVB channels, but have not had any success yet.
I get audio but no picture. In Live TV I get picture, but when I unslect the option in the Misc tab for Use live preview mode if possible, I get no picture.
After reading lots on here it looks like I don't have the correct Mux installed.

The Hauppauge WinTV app supplied with the card works for both time shifting and recording, but not in GBPVR.
I'm running Windows XP. I have run Muxchecker and it says there are no Mux's installed.

Does the HVR-2200 use a BDA Mux that I should be able to see with the Mux Checker?
Where do I download the correct Mux from?
Thanks

Media Center + GB-PVR coexist w/same remote question
Posted by: jimmyshutter - 2009-05-17, 03:35 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I am somewhat new to GB-PVR.

I would like to keep Media Center installed but I can't figure out how I can choose which application my Hauppauge remote will open.

All I can do is open GBPVR through the keyboard, my Hauppauge remote will only open Media Center. I'll probably ditch Media Center down the road but would like to be able to access each program through my remote for the time being.

Is there an easy work-around for this?

I've tried Eventghost and Hip but can't figure either out (yet). Thanks for any responses.

Enhanced Web Admin (EWA) Build 81 BETA Web Service Release
Posted by: UncleJohnsBand - 2009-05-17, 01:06 AM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - No Replies

I am releasing a BETA build 81 of EWA that contains secured web services functionality.

I believe this will now open up GBPVR functionality onto other platforms and interfaces.

I have posted further information on the web services on the wiki along with a rudimentary windows app that can be used as an example of connecting to and using the services.

Please post any comments or problems in this thread. Big Grin

  Blank Black Live TV
Posted by: Winlix - 2009-05-16, 07:13 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

I am a newbie at this. I installed GBPVR v1.3.11, set up the Capture Sources, EPG, and the rest of the configurations using the online documentation. But I cannot get Live TV to work. When I select Live TV, I get no picture or audio, only a black screen. I tried Manual Recording and the mpg file it created is 0KB. So there is a problem there too.

I think the problem might be the codecs and I have looked through the forums for a solution, but to no avail. I have attached the log files and any help to get me pointed in the right direction is appreciated.

  Laggy Program
Posted by: artyzipp - 2009-05-16, 06:56 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (5)

I have almost everything working, but the program itself is pretty laggy. When I open up PVRX2 and go to the guide, it takes a while for the listings to load up. It also tends to have a delay when I am switching channels or selecting channels.

This is a dedicated HTPC running Vista 32 Ultimate, 2gb ram, 2.4ghz AMD. ATIRadeon 2800 and two HVR1600 Hauppague cards.

Any idea why this might be happening.

Vista MCE runs totally smooth, but this could be a deal breaker for me. I would love to switch to GBPVR because of the EPG listings for digital sub-channels for OTA, but I may just have to deal with it in Vista MCE.

Select Non Default Transcode Options by Recording
Posted by: rmazenc - 2009-05-16, 06:47 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

Is there a way to use non-default transcoding options for certain recordings? For example, can I set my Sportscenter to transcode using ipod settings? I thought I'd seen that option (I've recently rebuilt), but I can't remember how I got it.

Thanks in advance.
