I have a hauppage 2250 card with dual tuners but Im unable to watch and record at the same time. Is it possible to do this? I'm able to record 2 shows at once but not watch and record. It says there are no other tuners available. I'm able to watch and record with wintv. I have the latest release of gbpvr and drivers for the 2250.
Hi all,
I am having trouble figuring out how to rename the channels. in my TV Guide, it shows the channel number twice, and I would like it to show (and I believe this is how it is supposed to and I am just missing something) the channel number and the name, i.e.: "NBC 5" "CBS 2" "ABC 4" and so on, instead of "5 5"...
I went into the config and I see under the Channels tab that I can rename the channel, but as soon as I go out of there, it puts it back to the number again.
for my guide data, I am using MSN_XMLTV to generate my tvguide.xml, then importing that. I'm very happy with the data it provides!
Maybe I need another XMLTV processor after it downloads the .xml, to massage the data further, to show this information?
I've been using an older Harmony 628 remote with GBPVR with no issues and just today I am setting up my new Harmony One remote to take it's place. I added all my devices and activities (selected the same WinTV-PVR-150 as my PVR device), but when I go to use GBPVR with the new remote, nothing happens. If I use my old remote, it works fine and all other devices are controlled fine with my new Harmony. Any suggestions? I probably missed something obvious! TIA
I have a couple of decoders that are on my server, but dont quite know how they were installed, is there a way to find our what program installed them or find the files so i can transfer them to the other computer,
The decoder in question are coreAVc and Archsoft (I think this was installed with my video card which is geforce)
IMDB integration, improved hit rates for trailers and IMDB info.
Easy updates and less reliance on sources not messing about with their site layout
Ability to update the listings from within the plugin.
Easy adding of local cinema (help with cinema IDs or even a method of browsing for cinemas like the weather plugin allows browsing for weather forecast locations).
Improving Google Movies as a source (multiple countries).
So, any comments, suggestions or offers of help with coding, testing or translations - post below!
I decided to clean up my system over the Easter holidays and reinstalled xp. I saved the GBPVR directory and put it back after I've reinstalled all the apps and latest drivers.
Everything seems to be going except that I can't get audio when playing back my TV3 ac3 recordings. The audio does work with LiveTV on that channel which is sent via S/PIF directly to an external ac3 decoder.
I do get audio when I play back of those recordings using Windows Media Player but they get decoded to normal PC speakers.
I can't remember what I did last time to get it going so would appreciate if someone can point in the right direction of what I'm doing wrong here. Thanks.
I just ordered a new Dell PC and I'm trying to figure out whats the best way to transfer my GBPVR setup to it with the least headaches. Any suggestions would be appreciated. My current operating system is WinXP, the new one will be Vista. I will transfer my Hauppauge PVR150 tuner card to my new PC. I use both a NMT and a MVP. I am thinking that I would do the following:
1. a fresh install of GBPVR and then copy the gbpvr.db3 & config.xml from the old pc to the new. Install .net 2.0 and microsoft run time.
2. I would have to download and install any additional skins or plugins.
3. I would copy the mvpmc directory over to the new computer. Setup any shares.
4. I believe with my old system I had to change something in Admin. Services for the gbpvr recording service, so I would have to do that also.
5. In my old PC I was able to play dvd's in my computers dvd drive and watch them on my tv through the nmt. My new PC will have a blu-ray drive so I hope can still use that feature.
To make the transition as smooth as possible I would appreciate any comments or suggestions. Thanks!
Have had a bit of a look about this but have come up blank so far. In my TV guide info I get title, channe, date and time and then (always) "Show/Game Show" I get this regardless of the type of programe I am looking at.
For some reason one of my tuners has just started crashing GBPVR. I have one of my 2 dvbs tuners on my 7010ix pointing at atlantic bird 3 and the other at astra for freesat, for no apparent reason the freesat tuner causes a microsoft crash dialog either HD or non HD.
I re-installed a previous known ok backup thinking this would fix it but nope it's still the same...which made me think it was hardware, so I tried DVBviewer and its all ok and GB does seem to record from the tuner ok..
