  IR Server + 2 STBs
Posted by: qaxooti - 2009-03-16, 03:09 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Anyone had any luck accomplishing this?

IRBlast.exe always seems to call the .IR command file, and never the macro that is attached to it.

I've attached a macro that sends an IR command to 2 STBs for each numeric input from my mce remote.

But, when IRBlast.exe runs, it always defaults to the .IR file and only sends a command to 1 STB.

Channel Changing a cable box (newb)?
Posted by: CyberSpaceTheory - 2009-03-16, 01:52 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

I am trying to set up my system to change channels on a Rogers Digital box.

Basic configuration:
Hauppauge HVR-1600

Works in WinTV (changes the channels on the digital receiver perfectly)

I have tried the instructions from the GBPVR wiki with no luck.

How do I configure GBPVR to change the channels?

Thanks in advance.

  New to forum and GBPVR.

Hi all.
I read the installer for GB-PVR for popcorn A110 nmt and had few questions.
Does the 5 files (telnet, script, etc) need to be at a pc hard drive or PCH internal hard disk. Reason I ask, i followed all steps, put in the ip address of my computer into telnet file and when i click on the installer from popcorn, it says , can not mkdir

Is it trying to install Telnet on PCH? If so, can I install any telnet on PCH like Lundman?

Appreciate any help.

Compro Power on feature for scheduled recording
Posted by: reido - 2009-03-16, 01:26 AM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (2)

Has anyone managed to get the computer power on function working for scheduled recordings?

My compro DVB T300 will power up automatically when using the Compro DTV scheduled recording but I cannot see how to get this feature working with GBPVR. GBPVR will wake the computer if the power is on but will not start the machine.

Blasting 2 Different IR Commands with IR Server
Posted by: qaxooti - 2009-03-16, 01:21 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

Hey,

I am using IR server to send IR commands to 2 STB's. The only IR commands that will work are the ones that I name 0.IR, 1.IR, etc. If I name them 1F.IR, it will not work.

I even tried running this from the command line, and whenever I execute the IRBlast.exe file, it says that "0.IR" cannot be found. So, it only seems to look at IR Commands with that exact naming convetion. Any suggestions on how I can fix this?

I am trying to learn 2 different IR commands for each number (1 for each STB).

Need some help with a batch file for epg updates.
Posted by: JP23 - 2009-03-15, 11:59 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (6)

Hi,

I'm using XMLTV GUI to download epg data early every morning. I find that when I've left uTorrent running overnight XMLTV doesn't seem to connect well to the radio times website, and I often get only partial epg data.

What I would like to do is write a batch file that would do the following:

Check if uTorrent is running
If it is, stop it.
Grab epg data.
If uTorrent was running, restart it.

I'm not sure if this is even possible, let alone how to do it.
Any ideas?

Cannot save to database on another user account
Posted by: jonlai9 - 2009-03-15, 11:53 PM - Forum: SearchWiz & MovieWiz - Replies (1)

I have two accounts under XP, one for the Media Center, and one for configuration the media center via remote desktop. This is because I've set my HTPC to automatically boot up and login to that particular account upon powering on and automatically running GB-PVR. This makes it easy for my mom and sister to understand how to work my HTPC.

I installed GB-PVR and MovieWiz under the Media Center account.

I can't seem to be able to add new movies or change the database at all using the other account I use for configuration through remote desktop.

It crashes and tells me I get IOFileNotFoundException because apparently the database is read only. How can I set it so that the database is NOT read only?

I manually checked MovieWiz.db3 and Windows Explorer says it's not read only.

  EWA with Blackberry Curve
Posted by: hakras - 2009-03-15, 11:32 PM - Forum: NextPVR Enhanced Web Admin (NEWA) - Replies (3)

I just got a BlackBerry Curve today. Since I got EWA working from the internet, I thought I'd give it a shot. I enabled all JavaScripting and HTML settings. The page comes up fine and I attempt to log on. When I click Log On, I get:

Code:
JavaScript: An error occurred while executing a script.

Is there a work around or setting that I need to change?

LM Remote Keymap Channel Changer Plugin?
Posted by: qaxooti - 2009-03-15, 10:30 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - No Replies

Hey,

Does anyone know which file is the channel changer plugin for the LM Remote Keymap so I can change channels using the LM Remote program?

I know for IR Server it is IRBlast.exe and that you also have to type in a few parametrs for it to work.

What do I need to do to use LM Remote Keymap to change channels in gbpvr?
