When I try to rescan my DVB-T channels from my NovaT 500 card config crashes.

I select Rescan and I see it scanning but it never finishes, in Windows Task Manager it tells me GB-PVR Configuration is Not Responding.

Has anybody else had a similar problem? This has all started after I reinstalled GB-PVR a few weeks ago. This was a fresh install, no files were used from the previous install.

anyone seen either of these strange problems?

can't seem to replicate the slow montion xvid playback on any other media player and yesterday, this co-incided with a loss of OSD (volume/timeline etc).

restarting GBPVR fixed both things at the same time. although the slow motion doesn't happen all the time, the OSD once gone stays gone.

I've added the ability to mark EditableSkinItems as "advanced" in SkinPluginConfig.xml, similar to what the old version had. Do you think it maybe useful? If yes, what items should be marked as "advanced" and so hidden from view by default?

I am amazed at the effort being put into this project by three developers, McBainUK, Fatman_do and Hairy. You guys are the real 3 in CS3.

I'm sure the new Community skin/plugin will be an outstanding upgrade. Now I'll just keep lurking here, waiting for the call for beta testers.

I finally got PVRx2 to run on 1.2.9 where I had UBURadio running (that is, until an install of Nero 9 lead to huge problems with GBPVR and video card, where a total redo of the video card drivers and some of GBPVR was necessary). So having PVRx2 working fine, I decided to upgrade to the latest version of GBPVR. I did uninstall the post Nero non-working UBURadio application from 1.2.9 before making the upgrade.
1.3.11 is now installed on my computer and seems to be working flawlessly...well except for this problem.
I have attempted to add UBURadio 1.3 using the packaged installer. After installing, I run config and go to the plugin section. Web Radio is listed and checked. Plugins are enabled (same problem when Timeshift or Preview is checked, otherwise UBUconfig is default). I start PVRx2. Web Radio is listed in the menu. I click on web radio, it seems to want to go to another screen, but then stays on the initial PVRx2 screen.

I do have VLC 0.8.6e, RealPlayer 11 and Windows Media Player 11 installed.
Skins: I have tried Blue on the General Tab, and on the MVP/NMT tab have tried both Default and Blue.

Any suggestions?

I've been a long time user of GBPVR - finally getting around to my first post. Thanks to sub for an amazing program.

I've just upgraded to the HD-PVR and everything is going perfectly except for one small glitch that I believe is due to my STB.

I'm in Canada using a Starchoice Motorola DSR-505 STB. I'm getting a border at the top of my HD channels; SD channels are fine and the border is at the top of every HD channel and only at the top.

This only occurs when using EVR (I'm running Vista). Everything is fine when I switch to VRM9 but then I lose H264 acceleration. Recordings still play smoothly using VRM9 but CPU usage is in the 35 - 40% range instead of 2 - 5% using EVR.

The border is present during "Live TV" and on all the recordings and shuffling through F7 does not fill the screen.

This same top border is present while recording from the bundled Arcsoft TME software.

Just wondering if anyone has experienced something similar. I've attached a screenshot of one of the HD recordings. I realize I haven't listed many specs of my setup - please let me knoe if you need more. Thanks![ATTACHMENT NOT FOUND]

I am using 1.3.11 and I use SD and UltraXMLTV for my listings.

It's hard to explain what is going on, but here is a summary.

My wife records Days of our Lives. UltraXMLTV converts the SD XML listings and changes the title to append an '*' if the showing is new. So it titles a new showing to "Days of our Lives *".

The TV Guide in GBPVR and the gbpvr.db3 has no record of this (it just has "Days of our Lives"). But the listing "Days of our Lives *" is in the XML file that is imported into GBPVR.

I have gotten it to import, but I have to manually Empty the EPG on both my capture sources and update the EPG. I have the Completely reload EPG checked.

Something seems to be messed up, possibly with my database. I can post my database and the XML it is importing. I can also get logs if those are helpful.

Weird thing is that it only seems to do this with daily updated shows, like soaps. Because my weekly recorded shows have the * after the title, and the database has them in there.

Any ideas?

This weekend, I started having problems recording analog. Live TV plays fine and this tuner also works in Media Center. Firewall has pvrx2 and recording service allowed. The logs show:
