I cant connect my PCH to my GBPVR server today, it will make the telnet connection bbut not the GBPVR one.

I'm sure from the GBPVR server I could Alt-Tab and see the MVP/NMT app running, but now I cant even after a reboot.

Any ideas?

Is there any way to change the maximum size of the log files or the number of retained files.

I've been having a few problems with my older server failing to record things but by the time "er-in-doors" has given me earache, the logs have rolled over and the info gone.

I normally leave GBPVR set to debug and one EPG update can therefore fill one and a half log files so I only get to see about 48 hours worth of logs.

I've plenty of disk space for the logs.

Is there anyway to make the recording status bar remain o the screen at all times, as being colourblind it's not easy to see the difference between white and green and at a glance you can see what is being recorded.

I noticed Comcast changed some channels on me so I thought it was time to rescan QAM channels on my HVR-1600. The last time I updated the channels, I was on a prior version of pvrx2 (1.3.7 I think).

Now, when config starts up and I click on the "Map Digital Channels", the scan dialog opens, it says "INITIALIZING..." and disappears. I don't see anything obvious in the logs...

I'm using PVR-350. When I watch LiveTV, there is no picture/video. When I record and watch the recorded file using gbpvr, there is still no picture/video. When I watch the recorded file using MS Media Player, then you can see the video. I'm using the InterVideo non-css mpeg decoder.

This is further to my earlier post about Windows 7 and my GBPVR problems.

Spent most of today doing some forensics and have uncovered that the "true" problem I have is that capture device #2 on my HVR-2200 is not able to correctly tune analogue channels, especially Sky (from the STB on channel 230) and Prime (channel 316). It starts getting increasingly "fuzzy" after TV1 (channel 7) but is watchable until Sky/Prime.

I do not believe in coincidence, so I have to believe that something occurred during the install of W7 to do this because before that I was happy as Larry (how is Larry BTW) with all my channels on both tuners.

What I don't know is whether this is a hardware or firmware issue, how do I test it?

I'm not steeped in HTPC technology so I've got it rigged for now to only process Sky/Prime on tuner #1. But that limits my ability to watch/record Sky/Prime concurrently.

Anyone seen anything like this before?

I use Acamd - along with newcs for my multidec setup (irdeto1).

Ive found the following:
* I cannot use acamd directly (com1) - as it never gives me picture.
It however does receive a key very quick generally
so im puzzled why if it gets key - why it doesnt show a pic

* If i used acamd with a cardserver (newcs) via the newcamd protocol
acamd then will also get a key (which does give me a picture).
however this method will only decode for 1-2 hours

ive tried with several versions of the mdapifilter /newcs / acamd - same results.

im currently using acamd 5.1.0 as i cannot get the v6.0.0 / v6.0.1 versions of acamd to work with newcs (at least for my irdeto1 card). the v6 version just complain about connection recv errors (when v5 works!).

would anyone have an explaination why i get a picture when i combine acamd with newcs - as compared to acamd directly (when both eventually get the decrypt key).

failing that - can anyone explain why a acamd config for v5 ceases to work under the v6 versions?

technically this is probably not strictly gbpvr - as its the 3rd party software that gbpvr relies on - but if anyone has come across this before id love to know how to fix it.

Hello, I'm using schedule direct to download TV Guide. I can schedule all TV show correctly except for one TV show called "Les stupéfiants". The only one that has french accent in the title. The entry appear correctly in the recurring menu but it does not record and does not appear in red in the grid of the TV Guide. I tried 2 different schedules during the week with no success. I had to create a manual entry for it. The manual entry works well. Is it possible that the scheduling part of the program doesn't work well with french accent? Thanks! I've included screen shots

I have WizImageGrabber scheduled in my postprocessing bat.

When I woke my PC this am from sleep a (VISTA 32) message told me that Windows was unable to show a message or something like that.

When I clicked "Show me the message" it showed an Error Message Window with

Unable to locate DLL; vjslib.dll

and a cmd Message Window with WizImageGrabberStuff and a bunch of lines

ProcessHttpRequest(http://epgguides.com/something(a) ...to (z))

Any idea what that was? Once off?

I downloaded the latest and greatest Slimmgbpvr.

Unfortunately, the delayed shutdown still turns off my computer, when i've requested a restart.

"shutdown -r" does a reboot, not a turn off.

Is there anyway to set it to default to "reboot" instead of shutdown?

or could we get a slimm cmdline option to restart when then the recordings are finished?
