I just upgraded to GB-PVR 1.3.11. This is a drastic upgrade, because I was previously using 0.99.5.

I installed the .net 20, the runtime files, and installed GB-POVR successfully. I went through the initial setup, where some of my previous settings were retained, and some weren't. I went through every menu, and set things up.

Looks like instead of the old gbpvr.exe we now have pvrx2.exe. Every time I try to run it, nothing happens. I get no splash screen, just some drive activity, and the machine locks up. If I bring up task manager, I can see the application in there, but it doesn't seem to do anything other than lock up the machine so all I can do is end the process to get my machine back.

Are there some minimum requirements for running this new application? I tried to find some by searching around the forum and the wiki, but couldn't find it.

I am using:

Dell GX280, P4 1.5GHz, 512MB RAM
NVIDA GEForce FX 5200
Hauppauge WinTV PVR PCI II
Windows XP Pro SP2

Fantastic program. I have tried about five different ones and this one is by far the best.

Two questions:

I can access the first four or five albums but the up and down arrows have no effect at all. It plays the music I can get to but blocks the rest.

How do I download album and DVD covers?

Would it be possible to add the ability to do this? It would definately speed up the alignment of my comskip cut-points.

I stopped using skiptool for a while as I was busy building a new pc plus I had managed to break stattik's script. Now that everything is working again and I have a dual core cpu AND I have comskip working reasonably well, skiptool and stattik's script are doing a really excellent job of producing ad-free, high quality xvid files for archiving.

What is the reason for this error? This is a recent complete clean install of 1.3.11 with an import of existing recordings from a previous version (1.3.7). I did not import the season recordings because i have noticed problems/corruption in the database with this.

I also have sometimes the problem that deleting a recording takes a rather long time (up to 10 seconds). Are the problems related?

I'm looking for a cheap solution to copy all of my old home videos/VHS tapes to disk. Since the card will only be used for this purpose and probably not again then I am looking for something that is cheap, and because I'm cheap too. Any suggestions?

I installed Kworld 330U USB ATSC tuner and the Arcsoft TotalMedia software it came with. I tested with TotalMedia first and it worked well. Then I tried to playback the same video with GBPVR and the audio is out of sync. I used every audio filter I have including AC3filter and ffdshow but I still couldn't get the audio to sync up. I decided to try and add the tuner to GBPVR anyway to see what happens. I can get sync'd AC3 audio on some channels and others I can't. I am still using 1.2.9 in order to continue using Raven's MyVideos5. What should my settings in Config be? Which decoders should I be using? Or do I just need a faster PC?

Hello all, I recently purchased the SABRENT TV-PCIRC R tuner card off of new egg, and was wondering if this software supports it.

The software that came with the card disabled all the sound, except for the tv sound, and the picture quality was...lacking.

I was going to return it, when I happened upon this project, and thought I would ask.

I am not able to run GB-PVR beqause probably I am missing a Microsoft directshow component. From the loggs I have created it is not possible to tell wich one. For more info regarding my problem see this thread:

My wish is better logging so I can tell whats missing in my setup.

Can Skiptool handle dvr-ms files? They don't show up, only mpg. If you did tweak via config file to show up, would it transcode it?

I'm trying to use Skiptool, but for some reason I can't get over to the right side to pick a directory and file - it just won't jump over to the other side with remote or keyboard.

Has anyone had this trouble? I haven't tried the mouse, that will be next, but I shouldn't have to, right?
