  Random Disconnects
Posted by: mag72 - 2009-02-06, 10:55 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - No Replies

Ever since switching to a new router, my wired MVP will randomly lose connection while viewing video with GBPVR. It's happened with three different routers now: a Linksys WRT54GL (when running either the Linksys or Tomato firmware) and two D-Link DIR-655's (the replacement actually disconnects after just a few seconds of video). I've mucked with just about every setting and nothing has helped. It worked perfectly with my old router (and still does when I run it hooked up through a second NIC, but I'd rather not have two routers hooked up to my computer). I have no idea what to do now, or how anyone can help me. I guess I'm hoping someone knows the location of a magic button that I missed.

Thanks!

How do I record season of the TV serial
Posted by: niranjan_rao - 2009-02-06, 09:21 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (3)

Hi there,

I am a new user of GBPVR and trying to set it up to record season of my favorite TV series. The guide displays properly and I am able to set up individual episode for recording and it works. However I don't get the menu of record season as displayed in help manual.

How do I set it up for recording the season? I tried searching a lot for help on this issue with no luck.

Thanks

How do I install MCE remote using eventghost?
Posted by: neal64ss - 2009-02-06, 09:04 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (1)

I am trying to get my microsoft 2005 MCE remote to work with GBPVR. I am trying to follow the instructions found at http://gbpvr.com/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Tips/EventGhost.

It says the file "MCE 2005 remote configuration file" will assign keystrokes to the remote buttons. When I run this file it opens in windows explorer and I get a window full of info about commands???????

How do I make this file configure the remote buttons in eventghost

  Comskip build 0.80.011 Released
Posted by: erik - 2009-02-06, 06:45 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (13)

The h.264 version is only available in the early access area

From the changelog

Changes in 0.80.011
- New parameter: added_recording=7 ; amount of minutes that are added before and the actual show in the recording.
Changes in 0.80.010
- When before_logo or after_logo are set to 999 then a hard cutpoint will be inserted where the logo (dis)appears
- Improved again the robustness of the h.264 decoder (was lost in build 0.80.009)
Changes in 0.80.009
- Bug solved: Sometime the audio decoding stops
- Added the output format for iPod chapter skipping, enable by setting output_ipodchap=1 this will generate a .chap file with a chapter marker before and after each commercial.
- Removed the very small commercial found at the end of many recordings.
- Bug solved: Sometime Comskip crashes when output_smi or output_srt where enabled
- Bug solved: Comskip crashes on a h.264 recording that changes resolution
Changes in 0.80.008
- Doubled the speed of h.284 decoding. Only available in early access area. YOu MUST copy all the DLL's inside the zip file next you comskip.exe and comskipGUI.exe.
Changes in 0.80.007
- The non h.264 version is now again available outside the donator area.
- Solved a very generic cause of crashing. You MUST use the new libavcodec.dll that comes with this release.
- Made some experimental improvements in determining the audio type.
Changes in 0.80.006
- Implemented a major robustness improvement in libavcodec.dll. YOu MUST use the libavcodec.dll included in this distribution Zip file.
Changes in 0.80.005
- Dumping a cutscene with the 'C' key is working again, was broken since build 0.79.140
- Improved the demuxing of TS recordings with corrupt PMT info
Changes in 0.80.004
- Changed the video detection for TS files to enable processing of clear QAM recordings.
- Changed the default detect_method to 43 as the CC decoding sometimes causes Comskip to crash
Changes in 0.80.003
- Increased the robustness of the h.264 decoder
- Increased the robustness of the CC extractor
- Removed the "_1" filename postfix for CC output files.
Changes in 0.80.002
- Removed the embedded manifest as for some reason there is a crash on certain systems
Changes in 0.80.001
- Added h.264/AAC decoding on TS recordings. Not working yet on converted h.264 files. Do set max_volume=0 as the volume level is not normalized yet. AAC decoding still fails on certain recordings. No preview of .h264 yet

  Movie Library plugin through PCH
Posted by: topperdude - 2009-02-06, 03:50 PM - Forum: MVPMCX2 and other NMT stuff - Replies (5)

Hi,

I wonder if anyone has installed whurlston's Movie Library plugin on their GBPVR server and are able to stream the movies to PCH through the GBPVR interface?

I understand there's limited support for GBPVR plugins through the PCH (at the moment) but am hoping that if this plugin works then it saves me the time (and HDD space) to rip the movie.

If its not possible to do so currently, would it be because of limitations in Syabas' firmware (which means there's a slight chance with firmware update that this could happen) or would there be other limitations that would NEVER allow using the aforementioned plugin through PCH?

Would appreciate any input!

  New Videos Library Plugin
Posted by: jasonbs10 - 2009-02-06, 12:54 PM - Forum: Old Stuff (Legacy) - Replies (202)

Videos Library is intended to be a drop-in replacement for the default video plugin. It includes several enhancements, requires no configuration, and is open source.

Quote:Features
*Watched files will appear with a distinct font. A file is considered in progress after it is 10 seconds in, and finished when it is 10 seconds from the end.

*Remembers the on-screen location of selected items when backing out of directories, sorting, deleting, refreshing, etc.

*Sort button toggles between AlphaNumeric, DateCreated, and Shuffle.

*Refreshes entries when a file system change is detected.

*The delete popup shows which file is selected.

*Faster thumbnails.

Additional features and details can be found on the wiki:

  Stuttering audio intermittently 1.3.11
Posted by: Sunken - 2009-02-06, 11:02 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (2)

I am getting inermittent stuttering of audio during live TV. This does not occur every time PVRX2 is started and sometimes does not happen at all. The application can start OK then start stuttering about 3 mins into watching live TV. It also has not appeared in any recordings to date. In the attached logs ( if it will let me attach them) I started recording TV3 at approx 23:30 hrs then selected TVNZ 6 (or 7) to watch live. The stuttering started immediately.
Has a similar problem been reported, that someone can direct me to?

My browser wont open the manage attachments pop up so will try submitting as a reply. Does anyone else have problems with the attachments?

Posted by: gf404 - 2009-02-06, 10:19 AM - Forum: Community Announcements - Replies (3)

I came accross a handy DVR-MS editor program. I have attached the exe and dll's.
Original site has source code if required.

Nothing fancy, but handy for manual cutting of commercials or trimming start/end.

Live TV - fist enter freeze, second OK
Posted by: hoborg - 2009-02-06, 09:18 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (4)

Hi. First of all - i am new here.

I finished setup of GB-PVR on my HTPC few days ago, and can say it is working realy great. Thanks GB-PVR team!

I noticed one problem.
If i enter in to LiveTV, picture freeze. I need to go back to menu, then reenter in to LiveTV, now all is OK.

I did some research and found, that if i change deinterlacing to nothing, problem seems to be gone, bud interlaced video is realy ugly to watch.

I am on XP SP3, using Analog Hauppage 1300 + Cyberling MpgMux.

Setting output to TS/MS-DVR have no efect.

Any ideas how to fix it?

Thanks!

PS Sorry for my english.

EDIT: I will post LOGs as soon as possible.
