Been using gbpvr for several years, best tool around and I love it.
Vista x64. Avermedia A 161A and a twin-tuner Hauppuage Nova-T. All DVB-T. Hardware okay and known good. I have installed vcredit_x86 and .net is at 3.5sp1
Upgraded to 1.3.11 last week and since then, if I attempt to "Map Digital Channels to EPG Channels" config.exe is greyed out within a few seconds and any attempt to click returns the Vista "program has stopped working" (Details below)
The system *is* working when run with the previous config, things are recorded fine. Crash only happens when attempting to scan for new channels.
1.3.11 was installed over 1.2.13 in the usual way. This problem is 100% consistent, persists through reboot and even when I completely uninstalled gbpvr, deleted directories and did a fresh and new install, it immediately presented itself when setting up the tuners so is not an upgrade issue.
I attach a sample config-native's log which appears to stop dead during the setup.
Any suggestions welcome.

I was wondering if there was a way to display all the movies in a directory and all sub directories at once in the "Video Library" to make it easier to look for things to watch?
I currently have the create a dir options when new recording so all my movies and shows have their own directory so I need to click into each dir if I want to look at a show description or is it easier to just turn off the make dir feature and just move all the files into on dir with comskip files too?
umm... two quick question...
do you plan to implement an auto metadata transfer option from the auto mpg to avi function if we use the auto compression option in pvrx2? I have no metadata info since I convert every single file auto..
is there a delete function in th slick skin to delete a show in the video library?
thank you for allowing everyone to use your program.
Hi - I've just set up GB-PVR for use with my AVerMedia A177 on Vista.
I'm having a problem that when I go to watch live tv I get the message, "No Signal detected. Please ensure that he antenna cable is connected or that the antenna signal is strong enough."
I don't understand why I get this message as I can see all the channels I have enabled in the preview of the channel mapping window.
I have been having problems with AC3 audio channels, but I believe this is a codec problem and none of those have been enabled.
I also have a problem where when I first click on 'Live TV' it takes me to a black screen, then back to the menu, and when I click on it for a 2nd time, it then brings up the "No Signal detected.." message with the EPG details beneath.
Not sure if either of these problems are related to why my signal isn't working when trying to view live tv, but it is when configuring channels.

* Enhanced Alternate title dialog to include thumbnail and metadata so it would be easier to choose appropriate title.
* Added ability to choose metadata source priority. If data exists in more than one location, you can choose what has precedence.
* Added ability to not overlay metadata (or thumbnails).
hi Im using 1.3.11 and have put this <MVPTranscodeTS>false</MVPTranscodeTS>
in config.mxl so i can use mvp to watch ts files
files this is how it reads
currently use vista MCE with 2 HVR-1600 cards 2.2Ghz dual core
3Gig ram
8900gts OC video card
I want to switch to GBPVR because I hear it is more stable then MCE.
Vista MCE works for me like 80% of the time. I use QAM tuning for local HD and I am hoping to have a setup that is wife approved also "easy to use"
My main questions and concerns are:
Should I use XP or vista
{XP may free up more system resources} {if it runs good on vista i could avoid reformatting}
Will my HVR-1600's work well and do QAM locals?
also can I set them up as 2SD tuners and 2HD QAM's or will it just see them as 2 tuners?
How do you get guide information?
I have been looking at the skins and the sassari one looks cool anyone using it successfully?
Basically I'm just wanting to get some updated first hand experiences from longtime users. We use the media center as our only PVR and down time would be a big no no
My PCH suddenly died. I went to watch something and it would not come one...no panel lights. It worked fine last night. If I unplug power and plug it back in, the panel light (and the yellow light on the network jack) flashes for about a half second and then goes off. It appears to be completely dead. It's about six months old. I hope I can return it for repair...I assume it's still under warranty.
I am using 1.3.11 and I am trying to change the priority of my recordings. I'm using the FF/REW buttons, but all they are doing is moving the highlighted selection to the one before or after the recording I am trying to change the priority of.
This was working in 1.3.8 for me, so I don't know why it stopped.
Here is my situation. I am trying to setup QAM using an HVR1800 and GBPVR version 1.3.11 within Win7 x64. When I go to map digital channels, I get the following message.
"GBPVR was unable to start the BDA device you have configured. Check the device is properly configured and not already in use."
Ii then gives me an unhandled exception error which lists a whole bunch of stuff. Analog works just fine, so is Digital Channel Mapping not supported yet witin Win7 or is there something else not working?
