  Magic-pro proHDTV Dual
Posted by: hkxyz - 2009-01-16, 05:02 PM - Forum: Hardware - Replies (7)

I have one of the above DMB-TH USB sticks which I'm trying to add to GBPVR. However when running "Map digital channels to EPG channels", it crashes with an unhandled interrupt error.

TIA.

I've added the following to dba.ini:

[Magic Pro]
TUNING_TYPE=DVB-T
FILTER_TUNER=Digital TV
FILTER_CAPTURE=Conexant Livewire AVStream TS Capture
PIN_TUNER_IN=Input0
PIN_TUNER_OUT=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_IN=MPEG2 Transport
PIN_CAPTURE_OUT=MPEG2 Transport

The filtercheck.log is as follows:

  Back to basics
Posted by: adm1jtg - 2009-01-16, 03:03 PM - Forum: MVP & NMT - Replies (9)

I have posted other questions but decided I have bitten off more then I can chew for the moment. I have gbpvr and a helius MVP. I have just figured out how to get these to work together to play my GBPVR recorded shows and avi files so long as they are local (see question #3). This finally all works. So some basic questions now to start with before i tackle things like playing vob's again:

1) I have an extensive list of videos (over 1000 titles) is there any way to page down and page up from the mvp? Perhaps a plugin that handles navigation differently?

2) How does one multi tag mp3 files on the mvp aka tag 10 or so files to load into a temporary play list. Also see question one... How does one use a page down or page up function to cycle through long lists of mp3 files on the mvp?

3) I have a pc whose only function is to record shows. The MVP is run through gbpvr but on a separate pc and separate install. In the video library on the MVP pc I point to the recorded shows directory on the recording pc (yes it is shared and the permissions are all in order). When on the MVP I can see the folder but when I click to go into the folder nothing happens. Is there a better way to do this? How can I play my recorded shows from the mvp directly off the recording pc.

  [DEV] SkinPlugin "applier" exe UI
Posted by: McBainUK - 2009-01-16, 02:58 PM - Forum: Community Skin - Replies (12)

Fatman / Hairy: This is the current UI for the "applier" exe. Is this style ok or is more information required or would be useful?

For example, log file info / progress bar / status info. If you have any ideas then feel free to post below.

  Channel views from TV GUIDE not working!
Posted by: vskatusa - 2009-01-16, 02:17 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (20)

I had everything working yesterday but today the channels do not change thru TV GUIDE (using keyboard to select channels in the keyboard).

Observations:

1. The TV GUIDE loading is extremely slow!
2. Yesterday when I selected a channel from the GUIDE the USBUIRT would send appropriate signals to my STB and worked but today the USBUIRT is not sending any signals!

Got the following error when exited from GBPVR.

Enclosed the logs as well.

  USB capture device with hardware encoding
Posted by: TomR - 2009-01-16, 01:19 PM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (8)

I wondering if there is a USB capture device the does hardware encoding.

I only have 1 PCI slot (small form Dell) and I want to be able to capture the output from 2 STBs. I think the CPU is a little underpowers so I would prefer to have hardware encoding.

Thanks for any suggestions on how I would be able to capture from 2 STBs.

  GBPVR usage.
Posted by: seymoria - 2009-01-16, 10:58 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (12)

Hi all.

With your help, I have successfully installed GBPVR.

1) Can you please inform how can I view my card's A/V input in GBPVR? (Devices connected through AV cable such as a VCR, DVD, Dish receiver etc.).

2) How to record from one channel while viewing the other? Or simultaneous and manual (non-scheduled) recording from two channels?

3) Also, I have a feeling that the picture quality looks somewhat not at par with that from Hauppauge's WinTV (more snow and lines).

Thanks for help and regards.

  XMLTV GUI gives empty EPG when internet connection is down.
Posted by: JP23 - 2009-01-16, 09:01 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (7)

Hi,

I have a scheduled task set to run a XMLTV GUI once a day and grab new listings, and have GVPVR set to do a full EPG reload. If my internet connection happens to be down when the grab is scheduled then I end up with an empty EPG.

Is there any possible way of making XMLTV GUI abort the grab when the connection is down, rather than making me a less than useful xml file?

Youtube has made a website for consoles like PS3 and Wii to stream stuff to TV. Isnt it possible to make a plugin for this on GB-PVR?

  Fault codes

Has anyone thought of collecting a list of common fault codes from the logs to put on the wiki to help people self diagnose GBPVR problems?

  No sound when playing .ts files after upgrade to 1.3.11
Posted by: drain - 2009-01-16, 05:43 AM - Forum: GB-PVR Support (legacy) - Replies (29)

Seems I don't get any sound when I play recorded ts files (from Freeview NZ) after upgrading to 1.3.11. This is also the case for files recorded prior to the upgrade. I know this is usually a codec issue, but it was working 1.3.7, and I didn't change anything (except upgrading my logitech keyboard software). Mpeg2 and avi files play fine.

I'm not sure how to proceed. Can anyone help me debug this?

Thanks. Logs attached.
