This is probably a stupid question but i have a problem reading my music files.

I have GBpvr 1.1.5 and the latest ML2 Install which is working (after a little problem with the skin).

I have sorted and retagged (ID3) all my files using Tag and Rename.

Having done this mammoth task ML2 will Only see a few files from my directory. All are in folders, but the folder structure gave no problem in the past. (working in earlier version of GBPVR and ML2).

I see in the wiki that an external tag reader is required. I have downloaded UltraID3Lib but dont know how to make ML2 address it?? I have a feeling this is my problem. Help please!!

After moving to gbpvr 1.3.7, I occassionally have analog recordings (PVR-150 and now HVR-1600 analog-cable) that playback fine under gbpvr on my PC but when I attempt to play them on the MediaMVP, they end up rebooting the MVP. I tried a fresh install of 1.3.7 and still see the issue... and yet most recordings on any of my analog channels seem to be just fine... it is just a few that show this issue... and I don't recall having this issue over the last couple of years that I have been using gbpvr in this configuration. I did a 1quick search of the forum but didn't see any similar topic...Log files are attached. Using GSpot on the problem mpegs, they appear to be standard mpeg-2 files and I don't see anything unusual about their encoding.

This sounds like an amazing project. I have this capture card which I currently use to upload old Hi8 movies and Mini-DV movies from camcorders. It has S-Video and RCA in and out connectors and a IEEE1394 to control the mini-dv camera.

1) Can I use this card? It claims to cature MPEG 720x480 :o (And it uses the input on the sound card for sound)

2) Up here in the great north (Canada) we are not really standardized. We have analog cable and digital cable (with a set-top box), and satellite. So it's messy. If my card works, can I hook up to one of these (at a time) to start? I guess I will have trouble controlling everything but it can a glorified VCR for now.

The Pinnacle forum members suggest using your site for the best viewing experience. I just downloaded the most current version of your software. I just can't figure how to set up my Pinnacle PCTV HD Mini Stick. in the configuration.

I just finished a build of a low dollar client using some recycled parts from an old e-machines box and some great black friday deals.

Specs:
Emachines case (required minor mods), dvd-rom and 100gig drive
Asus M3A78-EM mother board
Athlon 64 X2 5200+ chip
4 gigs Corsair DDR2 800
Vista Home Premium 64bit

Everything is now running amazingly well. The only problem that I have is that it locks up after coming out of standby mode. I have not looked into that yet.

BTW- I know that a Popcorn Hour is less expensive than this and I am looking to get one for another TV in the future, but I needed PC- internet funtionality at this TV as well so it was a great build. It also allows me to start to learn the evils of Vista :eek:

Setup:
EVR
Video Decoder: ffdshow
Audio Decoder: ffdshow
AC3 Decoder: AC3 filter
All others are set to default

Besides what is already on home premium, I only installed AC3 filter and the Vista codec pack and 64 bit extras from here: http://www.free-codecs.com/download/vist...ackage.htm

I have the client set up for streaming because on file share I get solid stuttering. I had to add the ffdshow or I would get stuttering on anything using EVR, but VR9 worked fair on streaming with the microsoft mpeg decoder.

The server is running the ATI Mux so I am streaming MPEG files.

CPU usage is about 15-20% on HD channels from my HVR-1800. The picture quality on HDMI to my 42" Visio is as good as it is from my STB.

The case is almost silent even with the standard AMD CPU fan (running q-fan). Total build was $216 including vista. I got amazing deals from New Egg on Black Friday. (4 gig of ram for $15 after rebate! $79 Vista)

Now all I need is a cheap IR remote receiver that I can configure and I should be completely done.... Well are you ever really done?

I have a Medion PC fitted with a Philips Creatix SAA 7131 Triple Capture Card which has both DVB-T and DVB-S inputs but cannot find Device Type settings which enable me to receive Live TV.

I've been a avid user of gbpvr/mvp for about 4.5 years now. Have never looked back.

Now i've bought a nice HD tv and are looking to play some HD content.

As you all know no can do with the mvp.

So now looking at PCH, abit pricey but want to know more.

Had a read around forum but my questions are a little more basic.

My questions are when powering up my mvp it goes straight into GBPVR.

1) How does PCH do it, what are the differences?

I'm looking for the exactly same interface i have with the mvp on pch but in 1080p via the hdmi cable. Bright sharp pictures 1920x1080

2) Is the interface more stable/quicker. Does it crash much.

3) Do i need a HardDrive to make GBPVR work.

If that all sounds good I will purchase one tonight.

Please anyone with any experince would be helpfull.

Don't want to buy one if the only improvement is HD playback.

Some quick questions about GBPVR. I want to setup a OTA HD box in my office not connected to my living room. I have cat5 in the walls, so no problem with network. Running a Linksys WRT110

My question is can I setup this box which is an vista HP a6130n, 3GB ram 400gm HD with HVR 1600 and GeForce 6150 running GBPVR. Popcorn Hour A-100 playback in my livingroom to watch DVD's ripped to HTPC and the Netflix now plugin?

Does the PCH 100 run flawless? Does it require alot of tweaking? I know Greenbutton.com is having some issues with Media Extenders playing netflix pluggin on MCE. Does GBPVR have that same issue with extenders such as PCH?

Will the GEforce 6150 be an issue is I were to purchase another PCH unit for my bedroom? Should I upgrade my video card to Asus 4350?

Let me know your thoughts, please elaborate on your responses. Trying to put all of this together for a one shot purchase turn key

I have just installed GBPVR 1.3.7 on a newly installed pc with XP SP3. No antivirus installed and Windows Firewall disabled.
Live TV will work at all. I click on Live TV on menu and nothing happens. All other menu options work ok, just live TV does not.

I am using a Hauppage WinTV PVR2 usb. Which is installed properly and works.
I configured capture devices for WinTv PVR Usb, disabled EPG and no channel changer. I have tried changing PVR settings from internal tuner to composite external, but still no success. (Live TV does not open at all).

Any suggestions?

I managed to record a very sharp HD picture using GBPVR but when I play it using GBPVR or Windows Media Player using the Core codec or Power Cinema their is no sound. Live tv works fine apart from some stuttering.

Help please
