I am trying to get my streamzap remote to work with Gbpvr. I got Hip going and I am slowly learning how to configure it all. My problem arises when I try to use any of the colored buttons. The streamzap software has them set up to macro for different functions, but they don't have the option to have them do nothing or disable them. So no matter what I tell HIP to do with them, they open a web address, a program, maximize/minimize, etc... depending on what is selected under the driver software.

I was hoping someone else that uses this remote could help me out. thanks

I have a hvr-1600 which has analog and QAM channels set. The analog channels record to .mpg files, the QAM channels record to dvr-ms (I've also tried .ts but was unhappy with the results).

I run comskip while recording, and the analog (.mpg) recordings work great, I can preview with comskipGUI and accurately mark the commercials before I remove them.

Unfortunately, although the QAM (.dvr-ms) files seem to record fine, and comskip marks commercials, the comskipGUI will not render the video so I am unable to accurately mark the commercials. The GUI starts up (slowly, at least slower than an mpg recording), I can see the cut points, but the video window simply displays as black.

I would be willing to pay for the donater version if I could be assured that at least I could preview the cut points to accurately mark them.

I've tried the newest release 80_007 with the same results.

Anybody experiencing the same problem? Did you find a resolution?

Does VideoRedo have the same problem?

Can anybody advise if different cards perform better than others with regard to signal strength etc.

I know that Freeview boxes vary, but wonder if it's all town to the LNB with SAT.

I want to replace the compro S-350 cards I have with my new Hauppauge ones but now wondering if it's really worth it.

I love the software, but I am having a problem setting up an ATI Theater 650 Pro Card in a newly constructed system. I am able to install GBPVR, download the correct EPG, and have the tuner find the channels. However, when trying to view live SD television, the video and audio stop after about 5 to 10 seconds. Nothing but a reboot will allow me to try again. I have tried several video drivers, several versions of the ATI 650 drivers, and tried all combinations of video renderers and mpeg-2 decoders as well as two different PCI slots. Nothing effects the outcome. I am becoming very frustrated. Anybody have any ideas? The system is 3.16 mhz e8500 Intel duo core, 4gb, Intel DP45SG MB, Antec Sonata III, (2) 640 WD HDS in RAID 1, and Windows XP w/ SP3. Thanks for the help!

I had so many problems i reinstalled windows XP Pro with service pack 3. Installed GBPVR when in config i had a problem which is why i think it wont start now. Config wont start either it crashes on starting.

I have 2 HAUPPAUGE 1600 and one older PVR150
Under capture source i installed the PVR150 first. set it to 1st capture source. Then set up one of the 1600 card analog only at this time and set it to 2nd capture source. BUT when i went to setup the second 1600 it wouldnt let me set it to 3rd capture source as GBPVR said no driver for this card found. If i choose to set it as 1st capture source it would install then, I wasnt sure since it was a 1600 that maybe it could also be set as 1st capture source along with the PVR150. Well now GBPVR or the config crashes on start.
Iam guessing this is the problem but not sure but how do i get back to a fresh start. Plus once i do so how do i get all three cards to work. Plus i do want to setup the 1600 cards for over the air digital too. So i would assume i will need to set up a total of 5 capture sources 1-PVR150 2-analog1600 3-other1600analog 4-1600 digital 5-other 1600 digital.

I'm trying to inject recordings into the database using schedule.exe from DigiGuide using

This has always worked great on XP but now on Vista it crashes. Running from a command prompt, schedule.exe with no parameters should show the usage info but instead produces:

Q6600 CPU, 4GB RAM all running fine previously on XP32.

New build from scratch of Vista x64 Ultimate on new disk.

GBPVR 1.3.7 installed with the usual re-registerfilters.

Logs attached but doubt they'll help as the exception is thrown before GBPVR does anything.

Nothing to to with UAC or run-as admin as far as I can see - happens qith UAC on or off, user a/c is admin, non-domain (at mo).

I'm really pleased with how GBPVR is working with my HVR-2200 and DVB-T channels. I'd now like to get Prime (NZ) working which is an analog channel.

So far I've setup an Analog recording source and pointed it to an .xml containing the EPG for Prime. The channel appears in the TV Guide.

When I go to watch the channel in PVRX2 I get a blue screen and static audio. It also takes a lot longer to change channels than the DVB-T channels but this might be normal.

I'm wondering if it has tuned to wrong frequency? I have tried running the tuning assisant but whilst it does scan the channels it doesn't display any video to determine what channel is being shown.

I'm unsure how to troubleshoot this problem any further so any assistance would be appreciated.

Is there a way, while scrolling through the tv guide, to select a channel and have it go directly to live TV without it giving another submenu to - record, watch, etc? Is it a configuration somewhere in an xml file or another plugin?

I've recently started using PVRX2 as a PC Client using File Sharing and am experiencing an odd issue.

When PVRX2 is executed, the program opens as it should. I am able to select and playback any prerecorded show without issue with fantastic performance. Video is smooth, audio is perfectly synced, and remote control response is instant. When I stop that recording and choose any OTHER recording, I'll get a black screen, but hear the audio playback just fine.

If I then exit PVRX2 and relaunch it, the situation resets, and I can yet again playback ONE recording before the problem comes up again.

In searching posts for others with this issue, questions about firewalls came up. Neither machine has a firewall enabled. Also, playback from the "server" which I also use as a client doesn't and has never had this issue.

Any thoughts or areas to look for?

For logs, should I post the client PC, the server, or both?

Hello, just purchased the pinnacle PCTV HD mini stick, is connects through USB 2.0. Is there a way I can get the gbpvr software to work with this? I'm new to this whole thing. The software that came with the mini stick does not allow scheduled recording. I'm using Windows XP and have all the latest updates. Thanks for your help!
