I completly uninstalled GBPVR then reinstalled. I used the same folder for recording shows too. But since I reinstalled GBPVR it doesnt see any of the shows i had recorded from before.

Is there a way i can make the new install of GBPVR see the shows that i had recorded from before the reinstall. There in a folder called TVshows on the C drive.

Windows XP pro shows recorded are just mpg file type

Never had a problem like this before. I'm trying to install XP Pro on a SATA rack drive (hot swap drive) and it installs ok during setup but the first time XP setup reboots, I get a [SIZE=3]'A disk read error occurred Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart' error. As I've installed XP on the same system but on a true internal drive and not had this problem, I can't be sure that's what that error means.I've installed W7 beta and Ubuntu on other drives in this same device with no problems and wonder if it might be the SATA drivers (F6 at startup) but, never needed these before as well and, without a floppy drive, it's problematic to load them.
Just curious as to what you think it might be.
Google turned up something interesting I've not tried yet (not at home to try it now). [/SIZE]The problem solved by __disabling IDE bus master __ in BIOS. I'm not sure why this would work but I can't knock it until I've tried it.
The drive has plenty of space and is free of errors and NTFS formatted.

I have set up Abyss Web Server for .net 2 with the DeLight.aspx web page and the .Net wrappers for the driver DLL and that works fine. I can control the lamps from the web page.

I have made a DeLight plugin directory in EWA and modified a plugin XML file, so the DeLight tab show up in EWA.
The DeLight DLL files and wrapper files are in a bin directory as the DeLight programmer named it.
The lamp configuration is read from HKEY_CURRENT_USER by the DeLight DLL and should show up on the web page.

But when I drop the web page and DLLs in EWA the web page shows fine but the Lamps doesn't show. I have tested the drop the DeLight files in the Web dir and Public dir.....but I cant get the Lamps to show.
The same directory structure works fine with Abyss and IIS

I have enclosed a Zip with the DeLight files in the /web dir structure.
Any tips on how to get the web page to communicate with the DLLs and read registry configuration in EWA?

Hi Sub and all you guys,

I have just re-installed Windows XP on a PC and only installed WinDVD (to get MPEG encoder and decoder) and then GB-PVR.

After running Config, and then starting GB-PVR the screen (or Window when in windowed mode) is black. Nothing happens when I user he cursor keys. Pressing ALT+F4 closes GB-PVR with no problem. The Desktop is shown fine as well as WinDVD run fine and shows movies with no problem.

Video card is a Inno 3D Geforce FX 5500 with 256 mb and using latest driver from NVidia. I cannot see any errors in the log.

Does anybody have a hint what might be wrong?

I do not have a TV card in the PC.

Currently main memory (RAM) is only 256 MB.

Searched around but didn't see another care of this being an issue:

Whenever I load the web interface for gbpvr I get repeated javascript errors: both GetServerTime and GetReminders

Also, whenever I go to sched a recording, I get a javascript error as well. I'm using the latest version of Firefox and have also tested on Internet Explorer with the same result.

Can anyone tell me what I'm missing? I'm sure its something simple...

I'm getting ready to set it up w/ Fios and a new PVR box w/ a nVidia 9600 HMDI card. When I tested it out w/ my current box (w/ a 8800), it was beyond the screen range at full screen until I swiched to HD Format 2, and it un-zoomed/removed the overscan (or whatever it did).

I haven't had a chance to see it w/ the Fios HD, but will it need to be on HD Format 1? I guess what I'm worried about is some big headache of having to switch that manually each time, or having to frig around w/ the PVR to get it to compensate.

There is no way to make a reoccuring schedule with specific times is there?
The specific days are great as some eps only shows at Mon-Fri
but there are a rerun in the morning of this show making the schedule mark up these times too, but at that time the PC is not powered up making all the rows marked failed and I have to go in and clear them.

If I can't find this, tell me how otherwise this would be a great setting
letting me tell to record an episodes from, like 3PM to 11PM, but that's it,
not the the rerun of the show that are sent in the mornings.

Hope someone can give me a few pointers.

I have had a Pinnacle 3010iX in my machine for quite sometime, and it worked fine, unfortunatly I had a problem with the motherboard, and replaced the motherboard, all works fine, however, when I tried to watch live TV, it never worked, so I checked the config, all was there and looked okay (this is 1.3.7 and has been since it was released, without any issues)

I went into update EPG or Map Digital Channels, I got an error about cannot find BDA device.

After quite some messing about, I had to delete the device and re-add it.

I manually selected the Pinnacle 3010iX and did everything, got the same error mapping channels. When I ticked the box "Only show installed Devices" it showed me a BlackGold something (sorry cannot remember it was late and I was off the back of a 15 hour shift) even though it was deffinatly set as a Pinnacle 3010iX previosuly, anyway I added the device, it did the scans and picked all the channels fine.
I got everything working, live tv the lot, however, it will not update the EPG at all, I am using the option for update via DVB-t
If anyone has any pointers I would appreciate it, unfortunatly the PC was not attached to the net yesterday evening, so I could not post, now I am at work, but it will be tonight.

On a side note, I have obviously lost all my season recording, not a massive issue, but I have also lost everything that has been previosuly recorded. Now all the recording are there in the recording directory (T:\temp) is there a way to import them back ? .. there are about 150ish in total. All is not lost if it is not possible, I can browse for them via windows, but it would be much nicer if I could see them in GB-PVR again (more for the wife than me !!)

Im having trouble finding articles in this forum because there are so many. Maybe its an idea to archive the forum. There are articles that are as old as 2003 in this forum. Its hard to find the right articles.

Take for instance the wishlist part of the forum. Maybe its an idea to make different subjects each time there is a new release.
Or if you search for EPG and channels and such there are allot of posts. Sometimes theye run for long time. Maybe its time to make from those long posts a summary and (re)move the post. Call it best practices.

If help is needed to organise the forum then im willing to help.

I have been having live TV problems for a while. The picture locks up and then the PCH has to be rebooted.

Could it be that the buffer on the popcorn hour becomes empty and thats why it locks up?

Is there anyway to adjust the buffer or even to tell the PCH not to buffer at all and just stream.

I may be barking up the wronf tree but it is driving me mad.
