Trying to re-do my SkipTool install.

I have installed now the older version 1.2.13 of GBPVR should i uninstall this version before installing the newer 1.3.7 version of GBPVR??

I just started messing with GB-PVR, here's what I have so far.

-An older workstation with a Pentium 4 (don't know the speed off the top of my head, it's descent) and 1gb of RAM.

-HVR-1600 card

-Radeon 7000 going out S-Video converted to RCA and into a normal TV (nothing fancy, just a plain old TV). I don't need HD, as long as I have a clear picture I'm happy.

-Using on board sound card

-Windows XP Pro that I leaned way down using nLite

Here's my situation:
I've been messing with live TV, haven't started trying to record or anything yet. Everything works fine for the most part except the audio occasional stutters, mostly when changing channels, no big deal, but the picture looks somewhat pixelated. It keeps up and is pretty smooth, but it isn't as clear as I think it should be.

And here's my question:
I have an extra 4x AGP slot (but it has to be low profile so I think my options will be limited), would a better graphics card help with the pixelation? I guess I don't know what is causing the pixelation.

I also have an old sound blaster card I could throw in to help out with CPU load.

I finally got around to upgrading form a very odl rev...

and now on the MVP when I pause a recording..the timer that used ot be at the top of the screen that showed your location in a replay..is missing.

This does still show up when using the PC, and I ma not using the minimal OSD

I tried searching through teh condig GUI and also the forums and I can;t seem to figure this out

I just rebuilt my PC, and everything is working fine - except for when I went to set the autostart MVP servers to 1.
Now when the recording service restarts, I get a window showing titled "MVP Controller" which says "This window is an MVP server process, if you close it your MVP session will end"

I can't see the window initially, but if I alt tab without another window open it pops up - or if there is another window open, it shows on the list of open apps.

Has anyone else had this problem, and more importantly know how to stop it appearing?

VR9 and VR9 full exclusive work however I have issues with both. When I switch to EVR I get audio and a completely gray screen on replaying files and live TV. I have tried Cyberlink DVD 8 codecs as well as Nvidia Pure both with the same result. If I install ffdshow EVR works on .ts and .mpg although I get the gray screen on .dvr-ms files, I find the ffdshow MPG codec is not up to displaying a good picture on my 1920X1080 Sony TV. If I could get EVR to work with cyberlink or Nvidia decoders I would have a great picture. When I uninstall ffdshow EVR is back to an all gray screen. I have been reading the forum for weeks without solving this problem. Any suggestions?

I have a Hauppauge HVR 3000 card which I have configured to use an analog input (shows up as both HVR 1300 and HVR 4000 in capture sources when using the "show only devices connected" option). I can use the Tuning Assistant to successfully scan for channels, and the MUX checker finds my Cyberlink decoder. However, when in Live TV, I have audio only on all the channels, no video. I also get the message "no tuners are available to watch the requested channel". I've tried different MPEG decoders (Nero, InterVideo) - all do the same.

So I guess my question is: Is there a "correct way" to set up my HVR 3000 properly instead of it showing up as the 1300 and 4000 (notice there is no 3000 in the list). Or is this another issue - I'm a little stumped?
