I have an Hauppauge 2250. I've been having problems with audio sync when I comskip and transcode HD programs to 720x480 so I can wirelessly stream them to my Linktheater from a Linkstation running Wizd. 1080i recordings have a slight sync problem but 720p at 59.94 recordings go way out of sync by the end of the show. This sync problem also shows up when I play back the original recording in GBPVR. I've tried recording with the Cyberlink, TS, and DVR-MS muxes but nothing seems to give spot on audio sync. I've tried many different settings in mencoder and ffmpeg but still nothing seems to work good.
What is the best muxer to use while recording? Seems like the TS mux has the least problems. What are the best settings for mencoder and ffmpeg for getting good sync? I've noticed ffmpeg creates better sync than mencoder but ffmppeg doesn't have edl support. (I'm surprised edl support hasn't been added to ffmpeg yet) I've even tried encoding with ffmpeg and piping this to mencoder using audio and video "copy" codecs with mencoder using the edl file but still no luck.
Wondering if others are having these problems and if/how they fixed them.
Are these available, or maybe would be an inspiration:
1. A photo viewer that has transitioins between photos
2. A music player that uses WMP visualizations and runs them full screen (Twisted Pixel looks AWSOME on a large screen TV - I can sit and watch for hours!)
How is everyone getting on? I think the installer script is settled, some of the resources graphics not so...
I wonder if it would be worth trialling a CS-SD installer just to see if it works. I'd like to add my work in progress SkinPlugin4 DLLs to get some early feedback on the UI changes.
I'll have some free time over the weekend to get an installer package together. Be nice to see how far we've got - what do you think?
I had to reinstall Windows XP (now using XP Pro). Ever since installing GBPVR 1.3.7, whenever I try to schedule a season recording or a one time recording of a show , I have no option to encode the .mpg into something else. There is no selection for XviD, DivX, WMV, etc. What might have caused this?
I was wondering if it is possible to stream TV over my wireless network, so when my laptop requests it, it picks up a TV signal from my main PC with the decoder and aerial, and will stream it wherever you are within range of your network?
Is there any way to make it so when i launch pvrx2 it goes into Video Library automatically? I have it set to be the first choice on the main menu but it'd be nice to just have it pop right into the library. Thanks.
