I've just switched to Freesat, but th eEPG is a bit hit and miss.
I have tried both the DVB/STSC EPG source and the FREESAT source. It either cannot find any guide or has big gaps. This is even on Channel 4 and channel 5 . See attached image
Hi thank you for this wonderul program.
I have installed NextPVR for the first time, I have version 5.2.6.220206 installed.
I like everything about it, but there is something that bothers me.
I would like to be able to use NextPVR in my PC with my mouse only, without having to use the keyboard.
So I want to toggle fullscreen with a mouse double click.
I have read the forums and it seems that there is an option for it.
I do have in my config.xml
<ToggleFullscreenOnDoubleClick>true</ToggleFullscreenOnDoubleClick>
But it doesn't seem to work, when I double click nothing happens no matter if I am in window mode or fullscreen mode.
I could do it from context menu, but I would prefer being able to toggle with a bouble click like I do in all my media players.
Is there something I am missing? With ToggleFullscreenOnDoubleClick set to true shouldn't I be able to do that?
In the past few weeks, i recognized, that if a recording is running at EPG update time, the EPG does not update.
I have 8 Tuners, they are all for the same source. It looks correct in the Device menu. In the station list, i see every station has 8 sources.
So i decided to delete the tuners, and add them new, with a copy of the scan. One after the other: Deleted tuner 1 -> recans tuners -> add tuner 1 with a copy of the scan result / delete tuner 2 -> rescan tuners -> add tuner 2 and so on.
In the devices settings everything looks fine, and live TV and scheduled recordings work.
But if i do an EPG scan, nothing gets scanned. (0 inserted, 0 updated, 0 skipped)
In the "Guide settings" in the EPG setup i only see "seconds per frequency" but no frequencies.
Can you help me, to get the EPG scan working again? I also would hope, that if 8 tuners are available, NPVR should simply take a free tuner if one of them is recording....
I am using nlite (windows) (client.zip downloaded Feb 17 2022) on a client PC
My server PC is running Version: 5.2.6.220206
using LAVFilters 0.76.0
When I use nlite to watch a channel for the first time it works but when I try to change channels - all I get is a black screen - and sometimes the screen locks up - and short of a reboot I can't get rid of the window (doesn't show up in task manager)
Sometimes nlite crashes in case I don't need to reboot
I've attached the nlite.log - hopefully is sheds some light on what's happening
It shows at 12:52:40 - I tuned to a channel - views fine and at 12:52:59 tried another - all I see is a black screen
Just came in drop by my own version of Comchap but it's for windows. It's called comchapter and comcutter. They are easy batch scripts that ultizes the ffmeta and ffsplit files that comskip outputs and you can use it to add chapters (ffmeta) or to cut out commercials completely (ffsplit).
The setup is easy. Just clone the repo or download the zip and extract it somewhere and just call it up like normal (whether for ParallelProcessing or Postprocessing)
I have an Hauppauge HDPVR2 that has given me endless headaches, and am about to try replacing it with a simple IP Capture device, but I have a few questions that I can't seem to find answers to. I am already aware of the "Extras" option to specify a command to produce a video stream, but this also raises some additional questions.
1) With Extras, what are the requirements for the video stream? the example shows ffmpeg using http to pull from a m3u8 playlist, which I'm pretty sure just provides a list of URIs for ffmpeg to consume, output a MPEGTS stream, and outputs it to STDOUT.
2) Does NextPVR have enough smarts to dynamically transcode/scale streams based on network congestion/configured preferences? Is there documentation on this? I can't seem to find it anywhere.
3) I want to use a IR blaster for channel-changing & such... I know I could use a wrapper around ffmpeg to send the IR-Blaster commands and then call ffmpeg, but is there a different/better way to do this? I'm open to suggestions.
With Roku sunsetting private channels starting Feb 23 I am inviting existing users and new users to PM me for information on how to participate in ongoing testing of the NextPVR Roku channel.
sub,
Just a heads up, I've had NLite shutdown suddenly when watching a recording in progress a few times now. I suspect it's happening at the point the recording was in when I started playback. (I.E. 19 minutes in)
I'll reproduce it and post logs as soon as I can. Otherwise the latest build has been working well.
