I would recommend Americans start checking out your their local Walmart. The ONN Android player is $20 and sometimes they have the TiVo 4K for $15 and it has the best remote for NextPVR users. Even with built in Roku must TV's offer multiple HDMI input.
In comparison with the Roku, MPEG ts file playback support is excellent, live TV starts quickly and you get built in AC-3 support.
I do have to agree with Martin that the uidroid client on the ONN device and the TiVo Stream 4K makes an excellent NextPVR client. And the remote with the TiVo with the number buttons is great. That has been my go-to, daily driver client since before it was released. And if you can get a TiVo for $15 (or even $20 or $25), grab as many as you can!
It a bit hard to side load on the ONN device so it not good option for cord cutter with no internet.
Hello, I am using the latest update NextPVR. I have 9 scheduled recordings that work fine. These were scheduled a little while back and possibly before the latest NexPVR update.
The issue is I cannot schedule another recording. I go through all the motions, saving from the Guide, and it does not save the program. I have tried different days, different channels, manually scheduling and scheduling through Kodi, along with different browsers (just in case) and it does not save the schedule. I checked to be sure ownership and permissions did not change on the database and they did not. I attached my logs that I downloaded just after attempting to schedule different programs with multiple attempts.
Just got the app other day, all working great except when playback it stops randomly sometimes after 10 mins, sometimes after only a few.
I have tried from direct play to low bit rate transcodes but still same problem?
Any ideas what to try or what is wrong?
Works ok with desktop and web app.
With the android app through the tv it seems to be failing, not sure on my mobile as not tested too much yet.
This thread has me totally confused. It started out discussing how to get EPG from TitanTV and that is where my interest is - getting ANY EPG for ATSC/OTA channels in the US. The OTA EPG only gets 2 days for a few channels and never updates unless I manually go into the TV Guide. Without a functioning EPG, I don't see the point of a PVR. Isn't the idea to make life easier? Where is the best place to read about the current state of EPG and NextPVR so that I have a chance of getting it to actually work?
can someone help i am new to this. installed on windows/logged in and all i get next to all channels is no show detals - i only have xcode no 3mu and its not avaliable.
Got a slightly odd one here, I'm not sure what's going on. When I first set up NextPVR a couple of days ago at first I was using DVB EPG and made a couple of recordings with that data. Then, on Sunday morning i moved over to using Schedules Direct, and made a few more recordings. Now check the screenshot which is of Kodi's web interface showing my recordings. The first two at the bottom look fine, they have the correct title. But the 3 most recent ones only have "SxxExx", there is absolutely no mention of what show these are at all I also took a screenshot in Kodi itself which shows the same thing.
Worth noting that they display fine in NextPVR's web interface, see screenshot of that too.
And here's a copy of the XML for one of the problematic recordings, which looks fine to me, the title is here?
Code:

So.. what do we think is going on here? Is this expected? It feels a bit sub-optimal to me The recording data from the DVB EPG feels a lot more useful..
