Anyone have any idea why I cannot delete recordings that exist on a GbPvr server from a Client PC? Sometimes, PVRX2 hangs when I try to delete a show, but more often, the show is removed from the database, but the file is not actually deleted from the hard drive. I can open the shared recordings directory from the client and delete the file manually, so it is not a permissions problem.
I am having trouble getting the remote with the 2250 to function properly - some keys just don't work, such as channel. Is there something special I need to do to get it to work?
I've been such a bad boy buying tuners, hard drives yada, yada all year long and have told myself to behave since the economy tanked but I want to try new things. So, since Christmas is coming, I thought I'd use some of my bonus money (if I can still manage it) and get either the Homerun or PH. I know there are differences such as HDMI connectivity etc. but my old eyes might not even notice.
I would be using this on a Vista U system with plenty of firepower. My worries are that it appears that QAM support in my area sucks but others swear it works for them with no hassles (and I hope it will stay around for a few more years).
I downloaded and installed the GB-PVR software. Each time I try to run the PVR2 I receive an unexceptional handler. The PVR screen has a big red X going through it. I searched from an answer and I downloaded the ffd show decoder package. i still receive the error message. Can anyone please help me in solving this problem? Thank you. deanie44
Very excited to see the DVB-T radio plugin, as its the one thing that GBPVR did'nt have, so installed a couple of days ago, but since then I've not managed to get it working.
When I choose the plugin from the main menu I get to the DVB-T screen and a pop up asking if I want to do a scan, which I say start but then it finds no channels.
I would like to run this card in analog mode. It does hardware encoding so it should be able to get an analog NTSC .ini right? Any help would be appreciated as XP media center just does not compare. Thanx in advance.

I have turned off multi-record as it seems that all files recorded using it,end up loading 3 copies of AC3filter at playback.
If first tried playing TV1 while recording TV2, and this did the same thing so I figured it was not able to be used like that.
Now every recording made on the Sat seems to havethe same issue.
If I play around with the 3 tray icons for AC3filter, I can get it to play sound, but seems to reset each time.
I'm in Thames at the moment, so will send the logs in when I get home.
from memory, I get AC3filter 005 & 007 added to the list of filters used to play back the file.
Will this be a filtr loading for each audio stream in in the TS-Mux stream?
I'm new to HTPCs and after seeing my friend's, I decided to jump in myself. I used to have several Tivos, both stand alone and DirecTivos, and thought the new Tivo PC would be perfect. After Amazon delayed my shipment for the 3rd time, I was motivated to instead get GBPVR installed (which my friend uses) and spent a few hours getting it to work. Once I did, I canceled my Amazon order.
I'm now to the point where I'm comfortable with the software, and I know which hardware pieces I need to upgrade. I have a huge drive on the way, along with a new video card.
My question is about Audio. I'm currently using the built in sound card, and simply sending it directly into our HDTV. The speakers aren't terrible, but they aren't great.
I'm interested in upgrading the audio both in the machine, and the speakers. I have an old SB-Live card sitting around. Would you guys suggest I do something better than that?
What do you guys use for speakers? Do you use PC speaker systems? Or do you pipe the audio into a normal home theater reciever?
I'm just at a loss for which direction to head.
