I live in an area where although the channel quality is good, some of the channel strength can be a bit weak. The previous version of GBPVR took a long time to scan for channels, but found everything.

1.3.7 scans channels much more quickly, but missed quite a few channels. It took several scans to pick up missing channels, and even after a dozen scans, it hasn't got several of the major channels that I know are there and working fine with other TV software. In fact, it looks like at one or two of the muxes are coming back with 0 strength and 0 quality, which I know is completely wrong.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can get the missing channels picked up, as rescanning just doesn't seem to get them? Or is it just a bug in the scanning code?

Earlier this week I cancelled both shortland st (tv2) and top chef (tv3) and re-created the recordings.

Top Chef still tried to record. So i cancelled it, then tried to record it again, and it still tried to record off the dvb-s. Finally to get it to work, I ran live preview on top chef, then said record it from there.

I was running 1.213, yapi started throwing error messages, and I didn't have time, so I let it sit a few months.

A couple days ago, I installed 1.37, and started troubleshooting the yapi problem.I saw that Verizon changed some channel numbers. I corrected the data, that stopped the error messages, but, while the guide has stations in the left hand column, only one of the seven stations actually has program info. After a bit it occurred to me to check the "Search Guide" function, and to my astonishment, the data for all the stations appears there. And the xml file looks good!

With all the changes, I have no helpful history, except that it once worked. Thoughts?

It looks good, everthing works on DVB-T but as soon as I switch to a DVB-S channel the lights go out with a "PVRX2 has encountered a problem...."

I have had a couple of instances of GB-PVR crashing when trying to record Prime and watch a DVB-T channel on a HVR2200. Noticed that the recording service was still running after crash, and showed both DVB-T tuners and 1 analogue tuner recording. I have the card divided into 4 recording sources as per attached image. Sub mentioned in the 1.3.7 release notes that he spent some time on tie the digital and analogue side of a combo card together. Is this the correct method to configure???

I also have a HVR4000 pointed at Freeview DVB-S. Is there any other FTA sattelites above NZ worth pointing a dish at??

In order to satisfy my insane obcession of using GBPVR, I bought and installed a 250GB hard drive. I set it up specifically for storage of the GBPVR files. I moved several videos to it that I hadn't viewed yet, I reconfigured the Video Library and recording directories appropriately, yet it won't find the recordings to play them. Help

I have recently got by gbpvr setup tuning and recording shows. but i have noticed that the guide shows "(no show details)" on 3 stations (WFXTDT, WSBKDT, WLVIDT).

I did some poking around and noticed in pvrx2.exe.log the following entries after I ran 'update EPG':

Lately, I have had a strange thing show up in the TV Listings. Occasionally, a show will show up with two entries in the (almost) same time frame. For example, I have attached a snap showing the program Testees beginning at 7:30 and running for 30 minutes and a second Testees starting at 7:31 and running for 31 minutes. I am posting this in UltraXMLTVEnhancer forum because the one listing indicates it is "S1E05" before the episode title and the other doesn't. I assume that this is significant to explaining what is happening.

Any ideas of why this is happening? I also uploaded the relevant portions of the XMLTV.xml and XMLTV.xml.BeforeProcess.xml files which show entrees for the Testees show for this episode. The numbers to the left of each jpg are the line number from viewing the file with NotePad++ to show that there are four different entries for the same episode in the xml file. The snaps with the words BEFORE PROCESS are from the XMLTV.xml.BeforeProcess.xml file.

Seems GBPVR will start up fine on the first time, if i shut it down and then restart it again it blue screens and crashes the whole box. This was an issue 2 versions ago, but seemed fixed, seems its back in the newest release, anyone else having this problem?

I'm having problems getting my PCH setup correctly with Gbpvr. When I started it the first time, the Gbpvr scereen acutally came up but the resolution eas extremely low. I had forgot to change the settings in config.xml. Since I changed them to what I thought was correct, I cannot get a display anymore after running telnet.html and Gbpvr. I took out the changes, and still cannot get anything but a black screen.

First of all, I am running the PCH in 1080i mode with component cables. So my first question is, what should be the command line options for running mvpmcx2.exe? The sample showed the following:

/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 -m 1080i &

but I also read somewhere in the forum that I may need a -o component option. I also read that if you have your display setup specifically on the PCH, you do not need a -m option. I tried the following:

/etc/mvpmc/mvpmcx2 &

but this also did not work.

Second question: If my TV is 1080i component, is this what I should add to the config.xml file (modifying the mac address, of course)?

Should I be able to run any resolution smaller than this? The reason I ask is because like I stated earlier, Gbpvr came up the first time before I modified config.xml. Any help would be appreciated.
