Rather than release new versions of these two tools on the wiki, I thought I'd put them here first and call them 'beta'
Both tools require the GB-PVR Recording service set to 'interact with desktop' and so both tools now check for that, and make the changes (and restarts the service)
UltraXMLTV Enhnacer has been tweaked to further remove redundant download of data, especially for ended series.
It now has two ways to clean up, Delete the cache, and Purge the cache, which means Purge will not remove shows that are marked ended, wrong, or don't fetch. 'Delete' is good if you want to download a fresh everything...
ZProcess and ZTranscode will now automatically join a series of incremented files (VOB, AVI, MPG) Must be using MEncoder RC2...
I downloaded a couple of movies recently and they were broken into two parts: Movie1.avi and Movie2.avi. Now ZProcess will recognize the set of files and join them. Just select and view the first in the set and you won't even know when the second part is running.
This is cool for viewing DVD vobs. Just select the first vob of the main movie, and y9ou will see the whole movie...
Remember, that if your vobs are stored in a Video_ts folder, they will not be available to your MVP. That means that currently, we still can't view DVDs without a tonne of work.
I've asked sub to make an allowance for ZProcess to see inside a dvd folder, but he's been busy with the last release...
Also, ZProcess will check several other 'requirements' and log or msgbox what is missing. Hopefully this will make the install even more painless

Im trying to install the second tuner on my Nova T 500 card and Gbpvr always gives me the error the card is in us and to quit the program ......never had this problem before was always able to install both tuners....any suggestions
I am in the UK and watching DVB via a Hauppauge Nova-T I know some multiplexes have a low signal and every now and then this causes the low signal dialog to pop up and PVRX2 then stops responding. Is this the way that the program is supposed to behave on low signal?
Any suggestions to achieve a more graceful behaviour?
I am using 1.3.7 on a Dell Dimension 4600. If I select a program to record then place the system in standby it wakes up and records but when I play the recorded program there is no sound. If I do not place the system in standby everything works as it should. I have tested this carefully and it is 100% reproducible. Any suggestions? Thanks.
Hi I have a DVB-T Nova-500 and am happily recording into the Microsoft format and playing back.
However I don't appear to have mux to make the MP3 files, so consequently the mux tools of subs doesn't show any available encoders and MVP menus work but I can't play back any content.
I've looked at the several threads over the years (and previously had found an encoder which worked but since a recent rebuild I can no longer find it).
The links to the few downloads refered to in threads here seem to now be broken or when unzipped updates to the software mean the encoders mentioned no longer appear there.
I'm happy to buy something if someone can point me to the correct piece of software that I need to buy to ensure I get a working Mux.
Hello all, I have been trying to get gbpvr working for the last 2 week, everything seems to be ok, thank to all the documentation available, I am very happy overall, and I should take the oportunity to thank everyone who has contributed in any way for keeping the forum full of valuable information.
I have a problem with channel searching, I can not get some particular channels in hispasat. witch I find quite easy when searching manually with powercinema.
the satelite details are:

As I said I have tried pretty much everithing, and did a lot of reading, I apologise in advance in case this issue as been discussed and there is a answer somewhere in the forum or wiki pages, there is a lot of thing I still need to understand, having said that, I really tried very hard with several diferent setting, normally the way I see it, should be enought to include in the DVB-S folder, in hispasat file the S2 details, witch I did, and did not do the job.

I found every other channel available in the satelite, inclusive the AC3 from spanish HD.
It seems is not scanning modulation 8PSK.
As I said it scans ok when searching manually with powercinema from cyberlink.
I tested the hardware, the card shows as being a Hauppauge HVR-4000 (DVB-S/S2) device, having used the filtergrath, is shows exatly the same details as for my card, so it should be ok.
My last attempt was the xmltv, thinking maby if I could get one, maby I could change some details manualy, but no luck, could not get it working, and could not found one allready made.
I think this is all the info about my problem, should any logs, or any extra info be necessary, please let me know.
I hope there is a solution.
Just one other thing, maby I am doing something wrong, but on the GUI, I can not access settings, it tries to go there, but comes back to main menu, not alowing to do anything on settings, from what I could see, maby it would not solve my problem, because it seems is no satelite or channels configuration there.
