Another symptom since my graphics card got replaced
When a recording starts up in the background while watching live TV the picture hiccups and the audio goes out of sync. Any suggestions or could this be another sign of an underpowered graphics card?
I usually have PVRX2.exe set to above normal priority and recording service set to normal priority, if this makes a difference, which in the past has worked flawlessly.
Ok I know that's vague. I am having a problem and I'm not quite sure where to look for it. I think it started about a week ago. I have a bunch of recordings scheduled, mostly seasons but not all, and they show up in my pending recordings but they're not recording. I don't know where they went I just show up to look for them and they're not there. I'm not sure where to look to trouble shoot this either. Any ideas?

I am working with PVR-150MCE kit, and yes it came with MCE2005 Remote v2(variation).
The situation is:
1. I successfully installed the latest GB-PVR(v1.2.13) and have been happily enjoyed my Digital Cable through a STB-to-S/Video external tuner connection.
2. I can "HIPSend.exe 46 600 3 2" to change the channel of STB to 46, for example.
3. I am opting .exe Changer plugin, selecting "HIPSend.exe", and using parameters, '{channel} 600 3 2'(without quotes) because I am connecting it to IR port2.
BUT....
When I change the channel with my remote in Live TV or select a channel from Guide, it says the channel has been changed, but it's lying! It just shows me the same channel, and I have to use STB's remote or manually type "HIPsend.exe somechannel 600 3 2" to change it.
What's wrong with .exe channel change plugin and GB-PVR 1.2.13?
It seems that it simply doesn't invoke .exe executables when needed.
I was using 1.1.5 with my PVR350 to use the TV out. I recently changed to using my video card for playback since the PVR350 TV out doesn't support .avi.
With the TV as the 2nd monitor, I began to have problems with Live TV. All is fine until I unpause. The TV pauses when I hit pause but when I unpause I get audio but the video freezes at the point that I paused. If I pause/unpause again, the "still" jumps to the new point. Occasionally if I wait the video will unfreeze, playing fast until it catches up with the audio.
If I am watching a recording in progress, if I stop and resume instead of pause/unpause, it works fine.
I have had GBPVR working fine for several years. I recently did a flush and fill of my machine. Wiped the disk and started over. I have installed the Hauppauge drivers and the dot net stuff and GBPVR. I am in US using Schedules Direct. I cannot get Update EPG to work from Config/Capture Sources. I keep getting a 401 error Unauthorized. I have two lineups in Schedules Direct. I have the correct UserName and Password. I did the :xxxxx trick after the UserName to select the proper lineup. This used to work before the reinstall. Could this be a firewall problem? I've added RecordingService and GBPVRConfig to firewall exceptions. I'm sure I forgot something simple, but I can't think of what it is.
I read early on that GBPVR was one of (if not the first) application to support the Hauppage HDPVR. Oddly enough, the included Arcsoft software player did not work on my system (Vista 64) so I found GBPVR and have been impressed so far.
I have tried to configure GBPVR to record from the 1212, but am just missing something, I think. I used configure to tell it about an analog HD device, which was in the list and set EPG to none. I start PVRx2 and can view videos, but if I hit manual record, nothing happens.
Can somebody point me to a link that tells me how to configure the 1212. I searched, but didn't find the question, but I know a lot of you guys have it working, so I have to admit, I'm just not getting it right.
I'm sorry if this a stupid question, I have gotten everything else in GBPVR to work by reading topics though.
Does the Hauppauge remote control work for the GBPVR program itself or does it only change the channels on the cable STB?
I want to be able to use the remote to scroll through GBPVR's tv guide and use all of GB's functions with a remote.
I have the remote working on Hauppauge as it will turn on wintv and change channels/record/etc (which I don't want to use) but it won't do anything when I have GB playing. Thanks for any info
For the past few months my Nova-T 500 has been behaving itself but in the last two weeks an old unsolved problem has returned with avengence (even though nothing has changed on the system and the drivers are the last released by Hauppauge).
When recording programmes on both tuners, the 1st tuner stops sending data when the recording on the 2nd tuner finishes. This means the 1st recording gets truncated. If another recording starts on the 2nd tuner whilst the 1st tuner is in this suspended state, the 1st tuner resumes sending data so you get a final recording with a beginning, no middle and an end.
This happens regularily and is driving the WAF crazy :eek:
I know Sub previously blamed it on the Hauppauge drivers although it doesn't happen the way they're used in the WinTV programme. I also saw a note that doing a signal strength enquiry on the non-recording tuner caused the dormant one to start sending data again.
Is there anything that can be done to fix or work around this annoying problem or should I just bin the Nova-t and buy a different tuner? (I chose the Nova-T 500 as I need to be able to record multiple channels and have limited PCI slots available on the motherboard).
