I have just installed V1.2.13 and as soon as I start the Config application I get a .NET error message. If I click Continue the Configuration program runs, but when I click Add on the Capture Sources tab, the same error occurs. I have installed a Hauppauge WinTV Nova-T and its drivers and .NET 2.0. I am running Windows XP Pro. I have attached the logs and GBPVRRecordingService.exe.log shows more details of the error.
Hope to be able to get GB-PVR running as it looks to be a very useful piece of software.
I am unable to use the playback control buttons with Overlay Manager.
By playback control buttons I mean fast forward, pause, exit, etc on the playback screen.
If I use either VMR9 Custom or VMR9 Full Screen Control the playback buttons work and the audio works but there is no video, just a black screen. If I try EVR, PVRX2 won't open. When I use Overlay Manager I get both audio and video but the playback buttons don't work. To stop playback, I have to use cntl-alt-del to get to Task Manager and then End Task.
There seems to be only a few people here that can interpret the logs and give solid feedback on what is happening.
Would it be possible to create some kind of guide that would at least out line which logs refer to what and what the different sections are? So many times I see Sub having to check ppls log files, if more of us could do it then Sub could spend his time on more worthwhile projects. And on a personal note I would like to understand them better so I am able to participate more actively in the community.
I started using UltraXML last night and I've noticed a small thing . . .
When I run the update from withing GBPVR via the System menu it does update, but it seems when it calls the enhancer that my screen display messes up. I either get the bottom task bar showing up till it's done with the enhancer or the left half of my display goes black and white but it clears up when the enhancer is done. I dunno if it affects a recording as I haven't tried that yet.
I currently call it all in a updateepg.bat file just to keep things tidier with only one bat file. I did try calling the xml grabber in an updateepg.bat and the enhancer in an postupdateepg.bat file though and it still did it.
I'm sure it's the enhancer doing it as one of the tabs that shows up on the task bar shows how far along it is and when it's done it disappears. I've also rem'd out the enhancer calls and then there is no screen flashing but of course I only get standard listings.
I've tried switching from vmr9 full screen exclusive to just vmr9 but it didn't change the behavior.
Not a big deal as it updates at 3 am so no one is usually watching it then, but it is curious and I just wondered if there was a fix for it.
Hey guys, timestamp issues have been plaguing me for a while now - as per sig system, generally only happens when two things are recording at once...
logs attached - should i try the timestamp issue drivers, they're pretty old now and i figure it would have filtered down to the new drivers yeah? (and i didnt have time stamp issues before, i havent done anything that i know of system wise that would have caused it)
MovieWizManager/Plugin - Expand ability to launch activate program even if not running in client mode.
MovieWizManager - Add following controls to activate launch: Sync/Async launch of program, Window state (Min,Max,Norm,Hide)
MovieWizManager - Fix SyncArchived function, bug in recursive scanning of directories. Attempts to sync thumbnail images if they have moved with the video. If sync success, resets the offline flag.
MovieWizManager - Allow for title override when looking up info and images.
MovieWizManager/Plugin - Fix bug that caused plugin to retrieve image from URL even if it existed in database.
Plugin - Remember program list sort order between runs.
Plugin - Modified text styles (Blue) in skin.xml and MovieInfo.xml a little to make screen more readable.
Forgive me, I'm suffering with a nasty bout of the flu so I'm thinking as clearly as normal.
I would really like to get the repeat and new flags working in the EPG so I would like to try UltraXML to do that (currently I'm using EPGExtra and it's super easy to install and works but it's not giving the repeat/new flags and I can't contact the author).
OK, it appears I need a program to grab an xml from schedules direct so that UtlraXML has the file to work with . . . what should I use to do that, or does the interal schedules direct support work? (if so, where is the file it generates so I can supply it to UltraXML?)
