I start with a problem that, as i can see, is a common issue.
Scanning Hotbird 2,6,7,A8 i found only some channels. For example, i can't find any of the major italian's FTA channels, and i can't find any SkyItalia bouquet channels.
Tried several times some hacks found in this forum, with no luck.
With DVBViewer, Mediaportal, VMC, SageTV, Sceneo, no problems.
Any other chance?

I am running GB-PVR 1.2.13 with a Hauppauge Nova-T USB. The rest of the system is Xp SP 3, ATI Radeon HD 2400 Pro, 3GB Ram.
I can watch live TV no problem.
However, if I start timeshifting, there is video but no sound, and after about 5 seconds it stops and returns to the main menu screen.
Similarly if I record something, there is video but no audio.
If I play the recording back through VLC, everything is fine.
I have tried all the Audio Decoders that are listed. I am using Live Preview mode, and have tried both with and without encoder pass through. I have also installed the MPA decoder mentioned on the forums a few times without any luck.
I have also checked that the Recording and Buffer directories point to the existing directories.
My TV3 NZ is a little jumpy and fast movements, for example a news presenters mouth appear quite blurred and non-distinct.
The other channels are fine but then they are lower res aren't they...
I have the following setup for codecs etc...
Mpeg 2
Video is the Cyberlin decoder that comes witht he TV card
Audio is ffdshow
Audio renderer is the onboard realtek high def
Advanced codec (Which I assume is giving me the problem)
H.264 is Cyberlink H.264/AVC Decoder (PCM45)
AAC Decoder is Monogram AAC
HE-AAC is Monogram AAC
I'm running Vista Home Premium on a core duo 2.4 with gig Ram, Nvidia GeForce 7600 GT, Haupagge HVR 4000 hooked in to a panasonic Viera PY800 42 inch 1080p. I currently have the DVI output from the graphics card being converted to VGA for the PC input on the TV as I dont have any other option. Desktop resolution is 1280 * 768
Any help would be appreciated.
Oh and if it matters, for some reason when I maximise GB-PVR, I can still see the window it is sitting in, with all the maximise and minise buttons just visible...
I find it almost impossible to search this forum.....there is no boolean search nor can I search for a sentence,am I missing something?:confused:
I get ok results using Google instead but still not the best....any ideas as I cannot sit here all day reading an entire thread.
So I am looking at possibly buying the RF-20 Universal remote but wanted to see what people thought of it and if it will work with GBPVR. My guess is that after teaching it the Hauppauge remote I will be able to use it with no problems but I wanted to make sure of this before I bought it. I notice when I click on a channel and hit play the video plays and a second later there is a small pause and then it resumes playing. My guess is the video being temporarly downloaded to the temp folder right, or do I have a problem?
A friend of mine has an HD TV with a QAM tuner in it. We found that our local cable co, Charter, currently has ABC, CBS, CW, NBC, PBS (3 feeds), Fox, and interestingly enough Flix in clear QAM.
I currently have a PVR-150 and a PVR-500 in my system. I'm thinking about maybe pulling my PVR-150 and putting in a HVR-1600 to pickup the clear QAM channels.
My TV isn't HD, but it has an SVHS input which is what I use to interface my Asus M2NPV-VM motherboard and GBPVR to the TV.
If I tune into an HD clear QAM channel would my motherboard convert it to a resolution my TV would work with?
I've found that if I start the client up without the server, I get an error (white screen with a red thin x in it). I assume that this happens because the client can't connect to the gbpvr database. This is a bit frustrating because my MP3s and photos and some videos reside on a different box from the gbpvr server and I can't access them without the gbpvr server being on. Also frustrating is that if I'm playing MP3s or videos located on the different box, the gbpvr server will of course go to sleep/hibernate which then starts making the client unresponsive again. Anyway around this?
if I've missed something with the config options then just tell me what to do!
Sub your prog is VERY brilliant. Also helped by some great plugins. For instance I now use Alibert's TV Listings and Recordings plugin and the new Music plugin from Mixman.
To this end TV Guide/Recordings and Music are now disabled in the config.
BUT I have no way of sorting the order that these now appear in the main menu of PVRX2. For instance I want all TV related stuff to appear 1 x 1 item below the next but currently it isn't as the default search guide and the new music plugin appear in between. If I've missed a way of doing this then wrong forum and apologies, if not can I add to wishlist?
