Thanks for the new update (5.2.6.220206) today. It great that you continue to update this application and I really appreciate it. However when you put a teaser like:
"Added settings in config.xml to allow the recordings screen A-Z sort to ignore certain prefixes like "the"."
It would also be helpful to know how to actually use it :-)
Quote:Added a new mode for UI Clients to reduce the number of network calls required (faster for clients that support this mode)
Added new web UI Client at http://localhost:8866/uiclient.html. This is for laptop/desktop users (not mobile/tablet users). Server must be fast enough to transcode in real time for this feature.
Added support for VideoToolBox encoding on macOS
Added settings in config.xml to allow the recordings screen A-Z sort to ignore certain prefixes like "the".
Tweak image cache sizes to reduce maximum memory consumed by cache
Improvements to artwork retrieval from TheMovieDB and TZMaze
Minor tweaks to the recording screen skin
Added support for updated discovery logic, where clients can detect server version and priority
Error log messages now always for the logs to be flushed
Now caching VOD groups for quicker access to VOD page with lots of items.
Reverted change from last build related to size of the nextpvr.exe settings screen.
Fixed issue with getting some artwork from Schedules Direct
Fixed issue where OSD could display the wrong size after resizing the window
Fixed compatibility issue with IPTV streams that use hmac keys
Fixed issue where clock wouldn't update in nextpvr.exe without doing some other activity
Fixed a couple of message popups that could show rectangular invalid-char symbols
Fixed issue with the vertical/horizontal menus
Fixed issue with using other otf/ttf fonts in skin files
Fixed issue with seeking on HTTP playback
I am setting up NextPVR and have run into the following issue once or twice. The recordings start to fail with the message "Failed: The operation has timed out." After 1 recording fails, they all fail until I restart the nextpvr-server. It seems to happen when I am recording multiple shows from the same frequency on the same tuner, but I'm not certain about that and it doesn't happen every time.
I've attached the logs from last time it happened. The most instructive lines are probably the last 2 lines of device-adapter0.log and the exceptions in nrecord.log starting at 2022-02-03 21:00:42.579. Sorry in advance for the comskip logspam.
I have tried replacing my DeviceHostLinux with the new one from this post, but it didn't resolve the issue.
Hello,
I have just one last Ver 4 Machine I just hate to upgrade to Ver 5. I just updated from 4.2.3 to 4.2.5 and am getting high CPU usage from some IPTV channels. I had this issue with 4.2.3 and was given an updated nshared.dll file to use and that took care of the issue.
If there could be a fix I would appreciate it.
Thank you,
Bruce
I couldn't find my previous post requesting this to bump it.
I was setting up individual recordings for the Olympics in the Find All list. Currently adding or canceling a recording exits the list, making it more steps to work thru the list until I'm finished.
It would be nice to remain in the find all list until I hit cancel.
Think it would be a good idea in the browser after looking at details for an individual program and pressing the back button on the mouse it could just get rid of the details display instead of going back to the previous page (out of the guide)

Some of my channels disappeared in the EPG, I deleted the channels and the IPTV provider to register the provider again, hoping to get a full EPG. Now, I can not get a single hit when I scan for channels. What can I do?
