Roku Player reverted back to Demo Mode after license install
Posted by: LDib - 2022-01-20, 03:00 AM - Forum: Roku - Replies (3)

Hello,
I have the NextPVR add on channel for Roku running.
I have 2 Roku devices on one server, and 2 on another at a different house
I recently got a license for NextPVR via donation.  I edited the config.xml  file and restarted my Roku Devices.  One started working and the other reverted to demo mode.  I am attaching the log files.  Any help would be appreciated.

  Generic series name recordings
Posted by: hugo84 - 2022-01-19, 06:20 AM - Forum: NextPVR Support - Replies (5)

Hi there.
I use daily NextPVR to record series by using Man-Rec and use its options to record a period of time of a specific channel (like 17:30-22:00). The show I want is in this period of time and airs one episode after another. The name of the episodes are like "something s2 e15". I wamt to have NextPVR to automatically record "something", ignoring the "S2 E15" part.
The good thing about Man-Rec is that I can record a period of time and catch some other tv shows. The bad things are that I need to search for the parts not needed to cut them out, save and rename the parts I need, etc. I usually have to use Avidemux to load the massive TS file, it scans the file, oddly I have to save everything first into mkv, then I have to close/open Avidemux, load this mkv, it scans the mkv, then I can accurately select the area I want and save it, and repeat same selection/save.
So my question is: Can I tell NextPVR to record automatically "something" ignoring "s2 e15" no matter when this "something" airs?
Since I am here, can I custom the colour of the selection items within Desktop App? I find annoying to look at a bright selection with dark text, and the background being dark blue. For example, I want to click Recordings and the items from the list to be presented in a brightish dark blue with light text.
Thanks.

  BBC 4 HD Oxfordshire
Posted by: hansol123 - 2022-01-18, 09:25 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (22)

I should be most grateful if somebody could tell me the frequency and SID of BBC4 HD (channel 107) transmitted from the Oxford transmitter.

I have tried scanning many times but it is not detailed on the list, all the other HD channels are detected.

Broadcsting starts at 7PM when it switches over from CBBC HD which is detected.

Thanks

Maurice

Direct remote access to the three new recording screens
Posted by: ElihuRozen - 2022-01-18, 05:19 AM - Forum: Kodi / XBMC - Replies (4)

I am trying to setup my remote to allow direct access to the new Scheduler, What's New and Recordings screens.  I have two 45 key Hauppague remotes.  On the Windows server, I was able to assign the F8, F9 and F10 to keystrokes to the Radio, Pictures and Music buttons, respectively.  I am trying to get the same functionality on the Client UI under Kodi on the other TV.  I looked at my Hauppague file under Configfiles/rc_keymaps, my Lircmap.xml file under Userdata and my remote.xml under Userdata/keymaps.  I had originally set this up a while ago, so I am a little rusty on this.  After playing with it a bit, I realized I needed to change the remote.xml file.
So, I changed the following lines from:

Code:
      <mymusic>ActivateWindow(AddOn, Music)</mymusic>       <mypictures>ActivateWindow(AddOn, Pictures)</mypictures>       <liveradio>ActivateWindow(AddOn, Recordings)</liveradio>

to:

Code:
      <mymusic>ActivateWindow(AddOn, What's New)</mymusic>       <mypictures>ActivateWindow(AddOn, Scheduler)</mypictures>       <liveradio>ActivateWindow(AddOn, Recordings)</liveradio>

(I guess I didn't change the one line.)  None of them worked.  Music took me to NextPVR's Music screen.  Pictures took me to NextPVR's Picture screen.  Radio didn't do anything.  To make sure I was changing the correct things, I tried the following:
Code:
      <mymusic>Down</mymusic>       <mypictures>Up</mypictures>

When I pressed the buttons, the cursor went up and down as I expected it would.  I tried changing to the key names, even though the documentation says you have to have an Action and I couldn't find an action to send a keystroke.  Now, Music took me to Kodi's Music screen.  Pictures took me to Kodi's Pictures screen.
Does anybody know what values I should have for each line?  Would logs help?  If so, which logs, NextPVR or Kodi?  Both?

Skip Settings - Server or Client Side?
Posted by: geobrick - 2022-01-18, 01:03 AM - Forum: Windows - Replies (6)

Are the settings for Skip forward and back set only by the client app?
I'm using the NextPVR client on Kodi (on a raspberrypi and windows 10). The skip settings are 10, 30, 1min etc.
Is there a way to fine tune these? I'd like to be able to set the forward skip to a number between 10 and 30 seconds and I'm not sure where I can make that adjustment.

I like to use DVRs/PVRs to shorten the time it takes to watch a football game. In addition to skipping commercials and halftime, I skip the dead time between plays. As soon as a play ends, I hit skip and they're all getting lined up for the next play. A 30 second skip is usually fine but some teams use a hurry-up offence and they're lined up and ready to go in 10 to 15 seconds. A 30 second skip is too much for those situations. In WMC, there was a registry setting for the skip length. I'm looking for something like that for NextPVR.

Also, in my setup, there are brief audio dropouts after a skip. The audio is fine for about 2 seconds after a skip but then drops out for about 250ms before coming back. It's just an inconvenience. I can live with it. It's not like a loud click or pop or some other annoying thing but it would be nice to get rid of it. Maybe it's just my setup.

  Duplicate Channels
Posted by: geobrick - 2022-01-17, 11:26 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (17)

I've got Next PVR working pretty good so far and just have a few items to figure out.

I'm running NextPVR on a Windows 10 PC and have 2 HDHomerun devices on my Network.
I have an HDHomerun Prime with a cable card and recently added an HDHomerun Flex 4k.

I don't understand why I'm seeing duplicate channels listed under "Channels" and "TVGuide".
Under the "Channels" tab, I can select either "All Channels" or "HDHomerun Channels".
Selecting ""HDHomerun Channels" shows only the OTA channels HD (without duplicates) and selecting "All Channels" shows both OTA and Cable channels (but has duplicates of the OTA channels). I'm confused because both are HDHomerun devices and only the Flex 4k channels show up when "HDHomerun Channels" is selected.

How can I get the "Channels" and "TVGuide" to list the all the channels available without duplicating anything?

  Playback jumping
Posted by: ChrisT - 2022-01-17, 04:02 PM - Forum: Windows - Replies (6)

Hello, I have just updated to the 5.2.5.20111 from 5.0.7XXXXX (where all worked no problem). Now I find all works well until I view a recording and try to fast forward/Back using the slider cursor at the bottom screen. At this point the video jumps, stutters and freezes and on the odd occasion works ok. The audio does a similar sort of thing. Can you help please?
My PC is UK :- Windows 10, 16 Gb mem with a Samsung SSD and the whole rig is 2 years old. I also use the PC based system rather than the web (if that makes sense).
Cheers Chris

How do I get the new channels into the xmltv.xml file

Pros and Cons of Buying Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe NV360 You Should Consider

The Shark Navigator Lift-Away Deluxe NV360 upright vacuum cleaner is a popular and economical Shark product. We have learned both the positive and negative features over the using period and we want to share them with you.

This is a typical vacuum cleaner. So, what exactly do you receive when you purchase the Shark vacuum NV360? Let’s dive into this article and figure them out yourselves!

Pros

The Shark NV360 vacuum has a really sturdy feel to it for the pricing range (as low as roughly 150-160 USD). Most of the other vacuum cleaners we've tested within this price range do not even feel quite as sturdy. This is quite objective, however it is based on our own personal experiences.

Brushroll ON/OFF switches are available. The brushroll is turned on/off through a switch located directly just above the dust container. While vacuuming rugs, you want the brushroll on, and when it comes to a flat floor, you would want the brushroll off. This reduces dispersion, and you may not want the brushroll rotating if your house has particularly fragile flooring because it might leave scratches on your floor.

The Shark Lift-Away function is included with this cleaner. This enables you to use one hand and hold the dust-canister/motor assembly while using the other to hold the wand. It's similar to having a corded handheld device, and it'll let you go into areas and do tasks that an upright can't, such as a flight of stairs or a car inside. This feature can be found on many Shark upright vacuums, although not all.

The vacuum includes three easily accessible filters, all of which can be washed and reused, one of them is a HEPA filter.

Cons

The vacuum isn't evenly distributed. Particularly, it is not too stable in the upright position. It does not really take much to knock it over, and if you just bump into it or tug it a little bit, it'll usually tumble over. It's a bit inconvenient.

The hose is only a few inches long. If you're utilizing the Lift-Away function, a short hose is fine, but if you'd like to place a tool on the end of the device and perform some function, the hose is much too small. Although it is a stretching hose, it also is rigid and may not stretch out smoothly. In addition, pulling on the vacuum's hose may force it to topple over.

The Shark NV360 performs a decent job of gathering up hair, however the brushroll gets caught up in it, which is difficult to untangle. We compared it to an upright vacuum cleaner with Shark Zero-M Technology (a specific cleaner head designed to reduce hair/string/thread tangling in the brushroll), and it came up short. If you have a great head of hair to cope with, particularly if you are pet owners, anything with Zero-M Technology would be a good option.

Final thoughts

In spite of some of the drawbacks mentioned previously, Shark navigator lift-away deluxe nv360 Reviews from buyers are generally positive, and we feel that was due to the value for money. The NV360 Shark vacuum is a fairly good upright that you can usually buy for under $150 if you dig around.

  Unusual artwork
Posted by: arrbee99 - 2022-01-16, 07:03 AM - Forum: Windows - Replies (60)

Using Windows 11 and the latest NextPVR, but probably earlier versions as well, I get some unusual artwork.
At the moment, for example 'Harry Potter 3' on TVNZ2, the image is for Quantum of Solace. For 'Attenborough's The Mating Game' on TVNZ1 I get something called Innocent. For 'My Best Friends Wedding' I might get My Best Friends Wedding, but the poster is, I think, in Russian.
And of course quite a lot are fine and quite a few have no image at all.
Just though I'd mention it and I realise its a pretty difficult thing to do, but even though Harry Potter 3 is called that and not Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban' I struggle to se a connection to Quantum of Solace.
I'd also rather have a picture I can correct if wrong rather than nothing at all.

I got a Roku Demo Ended on my Roku.  If this is a paid app, can someone direct me on where to pay, and how to activate the app?
