Got my HDHomerun setup and configured in GBPVR without issue.
I noticed that my first recording from the tunner is being saved in the MS DVR-MS format. Which (from my past experience) is not the most desireable Mux to use.
My question is....what is the best Mux to use? The majority of my recordings are watched these days via the PCH A100.
HI I have an nvidia 8400 gforce gs video card. This card has full h.264 internal acceleration. I use it with gbpvr and select the evr (enhanced video rendering) option for playback. This provides practicality flawless playback of hd h.264 recordings. Unfortunately when I select EVR for playback the side effect is my dvd playback is no longer operational. I am currently using the default video and audio decoders for DVD. If I select VMR9 for playback the dvd playback is excellent, HD h.264 is marginal. If I select EVR for playback then dvd is "no dice", and HD h.264 is nearly flawless. I was wondering if anyone had experienced this problem. Any thoughts appreciated
Tried setting <BDASubmitTuningRequestTwiceOnLivePreview> true but often when I initially try to tune a HD DVB-S channel from the EPG I get no video. The work-around is just to go back to the EPG and re-select the channel and it works.

I'm seeing something a little odd, and wouldn't mind a bit of help if anyone can give it.
Under a newly installed latest GB-PVR, with an HD2400 Pro AGP video card and running latest Cyberlink h264 decoder & DXVA ticked, it's quite clear that the on-board hardware acceleration isn't being used when watching h264 encoded video though PVRX2 (the CPU hits 100% when trying to view NZ TV1 or TV2).
However, it's quite clear that when viewing the digital channels on the gb-pvr config (when setting up the capture card), it *does* use the HW acceleration. The picture is clear, no stuttering, and the cpu remains low.
(I can also get HW acceleration to work under DVBViewer (for TV1 & TV2), and have configured gb-pvr as similar as possible.)
So it appears that GB-PVR should be able to use the video card's h.264 HW acceleration, because it does when configuring the HD capture card's channels. I assume this means that the config uses a default set of decoders & renderers that may be different from what the user has set up in the config. Is there any way to find out what the config uses?
Any tips/ideas/ways to track down what's stopping PVRX2 from using the video card's hw acceleration?

I am building a new system, with all new hardware excluding the tuners. The old box has 1.0.16 on XP and the new one will have 1.2.13 on Vista. What do I need to copy from the old system to save all of my recorded material and scheduled recordings?
Also, is there now a way to remove "exit" from the main screen in the newer version? I know the one I have does not have this feature unless I use the older .exe file. My kids and wife sometimes click on exit and having the option to remove this would be quite handy.
I am currently using FF 2.0.0.16 on the wifes old W2k laptop & every now & then get this message when I'm on the forums, I haven't had it when on any other web site.

I got a new hvr 1600 board and so far everything looks fine, except that when I change channels, going from analog to digital, the first digital channel I'm switching to doesn't have sound or picture. If I change to another digital channel and then back both digital channels will work fine.
The other way, switching from digital channel to analog channel works fine.
Any advice?
