This question may be too region-specific for anyone here to help me, especially since a lot of people on this forum are not American. Anyway, shortly after the Olympics started my GB-PVR stopped tuning NBC. Puzzled, I re-scanned for digital channels in the digital channel mapping application, found NBC and re-mapped it to the appropriate channel. It seemed to have the same address (77.2 or something) but I didn't look at the specific tuning request so it could have been slightly different. Everything was fine until after the olympics, when NBC stopped working again. I have scanned multiple times with the digital channel mapping app, but it doesn't find NBC. It pretty much skips from 70.5 to 81.2. I've manually looked through all the channels and none of them are NBC.
The reason I mention the Olympics is because I had no problem with NBC until then. I hypothesize that NBC (at least for my cable provider, COX) was given extra bandwidth or something during the olympics, which necessitated a slight frequency change.
I don't have my tuner card on a splitter. If it matters, I have a Hauppauge HVR-1600. The most ideal thing would be for me to use the exact tuning request that NBC is supposed to be using and see if I get anything that way. I know it's a long shot that anyone else would be able to provide this, but I thought I'd ask. Is there any way I can find the exact tuning request of a channel that my tuner isn't automatically detecting? Like some online database? I'm located in Macon, GA.
I have been having occasional timing problems when playing back HD recordings on my popcorn hour. Short recordings (1/2 hour) usually play back fine. Longer ones, like a 3 or 4 hour football game, I will have problems trying skip forward in the file. For example, the 30 second skip will result in about 3 minute skip.
I have some recordings that will not allow me to skip at all or even allow the popcorn 0-9 percent skip. I just get the icon on screen that indicates that the operation is not allowed.
I am using the ts mux that ships with GBPVR. Will changing the mux help? Are there any tools I can run the recording through to fix the timings?

my guide is fine however i can t view recordings tv or my libraries and was wondering how can i get my old version back i have win tv usb2 with mce 2005 ir blaster i like the new version but i keep crashing when i try to view my things what am i doing wrong? thanks for the help attached are my logs
Strange problem. When I play an MP3 or AVI through GBPVR (latest version), it only plays at around 50-75% of the volume that it should. If I open lastgraph.grf and play it via GraphEdit, or play it in Mediaplayer, then it plays at the correct volume.
I'm using an onboard Realtek HD audio device, using SPDIF output via coax to my home theatre receiver. The only volume slider in the Realtek mixer that makes a difference to SPDIF output is the WAV slider, and that is set to maximum whether I play through GBPVR or another player.
The Graph for MP3s is File -> MPEG1 Splitter -> FFDShow Audio Decoder -> Default Directsound Renderer. The sound path of the Graph for AVIs is File -> AVI Splitter -> FFDShow Audio Decoder -> Default Directsound Renderer.
FFDShow Audio Decoder is set to resample at 48K if the input is below 48K (as the theatre amp needs a 48K PCM signal), Mixer and Volume are both disabled so there isn't any normalisation happening or anything.
Also, even if there were, it wouldn't explain whay playing in GBPVR gives a different result from playing the same graph in Graphedit (if I play them both at the same time, GBPVR is noticeably quieter).

I am trying to get the EWA to work on my XBOX using the linksboks-0.99 app.
I can load the pages, but when I use the "keyboard" (it's the app using the XBOX gamepad), I am unable to login. I wish to edit the config to hopefully get it to look nicer with the limited browser.
Howdy all, I just recently built myself a wicked computer, TV-Tuner included (Hauppauge WinTV-HVR-1250, it's for a PCI-eX1 and it came with the 45 button Hauppauge remote). I noticed that WinTV is pretty much an abysmal piece of software and I started looking around and found GBPVR and was very impressed. Since then, I've been trying to cajole the thing into working with my tuner, but I'm having a pretty big hiccup.
Here's what I know... The system recognizes my tuner as the Hap. 1800MCE when I click the "only list cards you recognize" button in the capture device tab. I have it set up to be an 'internal tuner' looking for 'cable'. I've set up XMLTV through schedules direct for the time being, and I have many decoders listed on the playback tab. Those are the only settings I've played with. When I open gbpvr.exe and try to open up "Live TV" it gives me the Object reference error. When I open up pvrx2.exe and go to Live TV, it gives me a black screen for a couple seconds and goes back to the main menu. The TV Guide works good on both .exe's.
I went to the troubleshooting section of the wiki and it said that the decoders are probably screwy if you're getting the object reference error, so I've tried all 5 or 6 that it has listed (cyberlink, Nvidia, main concept, intervideo, etc), but I get the same thing.
Another thing I found funny was how when I went to the Tuning Assistant, it works fine finding all of the channels. I don't know why it won't work on GBPVR...
I've attached a zip of all the log files I could find (I've noticed that that seems to be the common theme). If anybody could tell me anything, I'd greatly appreciate it.
This is my second post, about my new install and problems I am facing.
First problem
I noticed since installing GBPVR, whenever I shutdown GBPVR, and want to put my PC into Standby, the PC reboots to windows, rather than going into Standby. Once it reboots, I can go and initiate standby and the PC goes into standby and stays there. hmmmm
I thought maybe it had something to do with the tray functions, so I shutdown the tray icon, and made sure no GBPVR processes were running, and yet I still have the same problem if I had GBPVR running.
If I start the PC fresh, don't use GBPVR but run other apps and then initiate Standby, it goes into Standby no problem.
Second problem
Window mode setup in General tab - I cannot get GBPVR to operate so that I window view. All I get is the fullscreen view. Anyone have and ideas why not?

Have been a RitzDVB user for the last 4 years, using my Nova-S (not plus). Have never had issues tuning multiple birds (4 in total) using a diseq switch.
Decided to give GBpvr a try since I was rebuilding my HTPC. While the intial install was pretty easy, I have been having a lot of issues with getting the satellite tuning working.
I had solved some of my initial problems, like a crapply BDA driver, and the wrong C redistributal to go along with my emunation version.
Now to my problem.
I tuned one bird, and as it was scanning, the programs were appearing in the upper right of the scanning screen. And I could click on mdplugins to see emunation working. Perfect.
I got to scan a second bird, via the diseq, and it appears to scan all the same channels as I got on the first bird. Worse yet, once it is done and I got to see the channels, emunation is not working.
What am I missing. Is there no support for the Nova-S with BDA driver, for diseq switching?
If someone else is using a Nova-S, I would appreciate some help. 5 hours and still not where I need to be.
I had RitzDVB up and running in an hour on my first install.
