It would be wonderful to be able to watch recorded shows "offline" on my laptop.
Maybe have a utility that could download selected recordings & com skip files off of the server through a folder share, and copy the data from the servers database for the show info.
PVRX2 would then when off the network with the server be able to have instead of the Guide, and Live tv related options PVRX2 would have an "Offline Recordings" area. That would function similarly to the "standard" recordings area, albiet with only the option to watch the offline recordings.
Hi, just installed moviewiz on a fresh gbpvr install and it's throwing the error in the attached image when I try to open config. After clicking ok on the error I can go into config but the plugins are all blank.
I have recently installed the latest version of GBPVR. It works great except for the fact that I can't play DVD through the DVD-ROM.
I have powerdvd 8 installed and DVDs play fine through it and windows media player. Through GBPVR i get a black screen.
I tried using both cyberlink and default dvd decoder with the same results.
Those are the only two I have and I'll be happy to hear suggestions for another one if someone thinks it'll fix the problem.

Hi, I'm completely new to all of this, I've run into a problem, and I have a feeling it's very stupid. xD I've got a Hauppauge HVR-1250, and I've installed and configured GB-PVR. I just finished running through the configuration utility, and when I try to run pvrx2, this Database Changer dialog pops up and I'm not sure what it wants.
The box already checked is "Configure GB-PVR to use the destination database identified below", and since I've no idea what the SQLite stuff below it is about, I hit 'GO' and got the following message: "Successfully changed config to use new database. YOU NEED TO RESTART THE RECORDING SERVICE." Fair enough. So I restart the service (with the database changer still open, with it closed, I've tried both) and...I still can't run pvrx2 because the database changer pops up again.
I've searched the wiki, the forums, and Google for this and found nothing. Dunno if it means anything, but I can see all of my channels using the Tuning Assistant. I'd love to get this cleared up--it's very frustrating to be so in the dark!

Should have a S-Video + analogue sound input for sky, so it needs to have a onboard hardware mpeg2 encoder.
(It's really not clear to me if the Hauppage HVR2200 i was considering supports high def or not.)
I've been monkeying around with my setup for a few months now and am still working out the wrinkles. It's taking me a long time. The motivation to keep going (besides just how seriously cool it is) is that I've seen some posts from people on this forum stating they've had GBPVR up and running with minimal errors for months.
How much tweaking, and how much time did it take everyone to get there system up and running reliably?
I'm trying to test out GBPvr - everything now working except my TV card - I've got an HVR3000 and when I look at the sources it is not on the list - is there another card equivalent or can someone point me in the direction of how to add the card as a valid source.
I'm new to this forum and program...and I try to install my Skystar HD 2 card.
Before I was working with Mediaportal and it took me 6 Months to find out how my sat works with the MP.
Now that it is working I don't like the speed of channels and stability of the tv-server.
Therefore I was looking for something better and easier to use.
Is there a way that someone can talk me true this config so I can watch/record Live TV on my PC.
So far:
For starters I don't find my sat card so I tried skystar 2 but with the drivers of skystar HD2 lasted version 4.3.3
I removed all other dvb-s players from that pc so no other program can use it in background.
Still if I look for channels I get the message that my device is in use by another program please look at your configuration.
So I know now that I need to-do something in de bda.ini but don't know what.
Then I have installed the skystar 2 plug-in I don't know if it helps.
All audio/ video decodes are installed
You can see it is a mess.... So please can anyone help me?
