Some of our local stations changed their name a while back. The EPG only contains the new names, but the database still contains references to the old names due to old recordings that still exits.
As a result all names show up in the TV guide, but the old ones are just full of the "(no show details)" field.
I though I might be able to hide these empty channels using the 'channel' tab in the config utility - but can't make it work. Is this possible?
At first I thought this was an issue with ML2, because that's what I was using. But then I figured I'd try it with the default Music Library and the same problem occurs.
Some of my MP3s won't play sound. It acts like it is playing them, but it doesn't actually play them. They all play correctly in WMP and MediaMonkey. To my knowledge they are tagged correctly, as I used MediaMonkey to tag them all.
Enclosed are my logs. What I did was I started PVR and then went to Music Library and went to play an mp3 that I knew wouldn't produce sound. Then I exited.
I am trying to use GBPVR on my home computer with pcanywhere. For some reason that particular application will not render itself on the screen. Yahoo widgets seem to do the same thing. ANyone else have this problem or know how to fix it? I am guessing its not a pcanywhere issue since only a few applications dont work correctly.
BY the way, the older versions of GBPVR always worked with pcanywhere.. its not until I upgraded to the PXR2 that it stopped working.
Ok, I have a new server and I'm trying to get EWA working. I tried this http://192.168.1.121/gbpvr/guide.aspx, but got nothing but a blank webpage.... at least I didn't get an error. Any steps recommended to try and get the ball rolling? I'm running vista, are there any gotchas in vista?
These MP3s play fine in WMP and Media Monkey. To my knowledge they are tagged fine.
Some MP3s play, others do not. Sometimes from the same album. The ones that don't are consistent. Attached is my log. I loaded PVR, went to ML2 and then to an MP3 that won't play. Then I exited after trying to play it.
I'm relatively new to gbpvr but I had it installed and working aok (windows xp with latest fixes) with an earlier release of gbpvr (last six months) when I decided to give upgrading to gbpvr10213 a go
I backed up my config.xml and gbpvr.db3 and gave it a go - the install appeared to go aok so I got on with the config and ran into probs on the channel scan - see attached attachment.7z (a word doc) for screen images and the audit trail that was output
I then tried installing gbpvr on a completely fresh windows xp install plus latest fixes and got the exact same error - looks like an attempted red/write against protected memory?
when I put over my saved gbpvr.dv3 I was back in business - in fact I was also able to get gbpvr to work with the aborted scan channel listing which wasn't that great as I only had a limited numbers of channels but then, as mentioned, my original gbpvr.db3 with the complete channel set and gpbvr10213 coexist quite contentedly
gbpvr is a great application and I'm more than happy to provide any other info required, run any tests etc - I'm out of here for a few days as of tomorrow a.m. but I will respond to any emails on my return - thanks in advance
Got my PCH delivered yesterday, followed the instructions and got everything set up in what I believe is "the correct way". Initially I didn't get live TV and soon realised you have to enable the "Minimal OSD" mode to stop socket errors in the server process.
The GB-PVR interface on the PCH is a much nicer place to be than the PCH native interface but is there any way of speeding up channel changes and reverting back to the guide? I notice on the OSD demo thread, when I watch the YouTube video the channel change appears to be instant. I use a component output and changing channels currently involves three or four screen flickers (presumably whilse reolutions and refresh rates are changed) and about 12-15 seconds of black screen.
Also, the same seems to happen when either there's a reception glitch or the break between one programme and the other on the same channel, which is very annoying.

I will keep it simple and use only one thread for all the wishes I have related to GBPVR.
1. Pre-configured keysets for Pinnacle Remotes. (And other remotes that are supported but are not listed. Configurator is good, but this could improve convenience with new users and of course, if pre-mapped keysets would be not good enough, configurator could be still useful.)
2. Why not "Net Radio" could be barely "Radio" and it could also include channels send by DVB?
When I started tuning with GBPVR, it only found TV-channels and there was no radio channels in the list.
3. (Optional wish) Support for watching video streams from capturing devices like VCR or camcoder.
I have been using GBPVR for several months now with pvr-150 and everything works fine. I decided to branch to a client machine in another room. I have client configured for Streaming. Client shows EPG, and able to select live tv show to watch. "Entering Time Shift Mode" is displayed and shortly after audio plays fine but no video, still shows "Entering Time Shift Mode."
Same thing occurs when trying to play Recordings. After "Play" is selected audio starts but "Play, Resume, Delete, Close" menu says on screen, no video.
I tried to change mode in config file to "File Sharing" but when I try to select live tv show I get "Entering Time Shift Mode" for a couple seconds and screen jumps back to EPG.
Could it be network and/or computer don't have enough zoom. Using wireless g network at 54mbs and Sony Vaio laptop.

I later tried using lan on another desktop machine and network works fine. I think the answer to my own question is that the laptop and or wireless network cannot handle the load. If I'm wrong please suggest options.,
