I have a Skystar 2 DVB-S card that GB-PVR isn't recognizing. I've reinstalled the BDA drivers like I've seen recommended in other posts, still nothing. Any other thoughts on how I can get the card recognized ?

Other software like DVBDream see the card without a problem.

gbpvr suddenly stop improt shows info to the tv guide.
i try new install and even got back to V1.2.9 but still no good.
it's improt the tv channels but no shows.
in the logs there something about GBPVR.Backend.Common i think...

I can view live tv, but get no sound. If I open the .ts file in graphedit, I get a sound renderer and can play the file with sound. It moans about another stream not being able to render but I think this is subtitles.

From within PVRX2 I can play other media files with sound, just not live TV.

I have tried changing the codec and renderer in config.exe without luck, I have also tried un-ticking the use internal ts reader option too. I also tried prissing the right key and can see a full green bar in the speaker display.

Unfortunately I'm using vista and graphedit can't seem to find any remote graphs.

Any ideas?

Firstly, thanks for this nice tool!

Enhancer was running fine with previous zap2xml scraper as the feed for xmltv.xml -- changing to the mc2xml scraper Enhancer now gives pop up window with the following err message...
"Element content is invalid to the DTD-Schema"

(and GBPVR-Config now hangs when trying to doing manual EPG update)

Any ideas about where/how to start to get the EPG working woulld be greastly appreciated

Hi,

GB-PVR mux tester says I have no mpeg2 multiplexer filter installed for recording and suggests three third party mpeg2 multiplexer filters, Cyberlink, Showshifter and Intervideo, but I don't have access to applications with these filters.

Where can I download a GB-PVR compatible multiplexer?

I have XP with service pack 2 so there should be a resident one as well according to the mux tester window, but apparently not from the negative test.

Installed 1.2.13 a few days ago & noticed yesterday that Videos had disappeared from the main menu.

I checked all my settings but couldn't find anything wrong so I uninstalled VA & reinstalled it. Videos now appears on the main menu but when I select it nothing happens.

The missus is complaining now so unless there is a solution I might have to revert back to 1.2.9

I am going crazy here.

I had everything working on GBPVR for a while there.

I have a Dvico FusionHDTV (Dual Digital 4).
Sound Blaster Live! Value (CT4830) card
Nvidia GeForce FX 5200 Graphic Card
Celeron 2.4Ghz machine with 1 gig ram
Window XP Home with SP3

I converted to GB-PVR after months of using MythTV but having it stop working.

It's been a long journey of trials and tribulations getting AC3 Pass through to work on my sound card.

Anyway, now I cannot get a picture when playing live TV. I get sound and it tells me what channel I am not but no picture. I can get a picture and sound with the FusionHDTV application just not with GB-PVR.

So some things I have done which may affect it.

I had trouble with teh creative drivers not detecting my card. So to rule out any error witht he PC (which is a bit old) I swapped slots with the tv card. This didn't work. It turns out the sound card had some wired in settings that meant it could only work with special OEM drivers.

So anyway, I swapped them back just to see if that was what caused the problem.

I have uninstalled that drivers, reinstalled them. Uninstalled the the FusionHDTV program jsut in case it was intefering with GB-PVR. Nothing seems to work.

I also played around with some video rendering settings in GB-PVR and kinda can admit I didn't really know what they were.

So here's my current settings

PVRX2 Video Renderer: VMR9 Fullscreen Exclusive
GBPVR Video Renderer: Overlay Manager

Mpeg-2 Playback
Video Decoder: System Default
Audio Decoder: AC3 Filter (only way to have pass through work)
Audio Renderer: System Default

Advanced Codecs
H.264 Decoder: System Default
AAC Decoder: System Default
HE-AAV Decoder: System Default

Aspect Ratio Control
Telivision Shape: 16x9

Live TV:
LiveTV pre-play delay 500 ms

This is the only section I have changed.

In the hope of restoring defaults I uninstalled and then reinstalled GB-PVR but it seemed to have the same settings.

Any help would be appreciated.

It seems that I am getting 0 listings for channels on NZ freeview.

Cany anyone else confirm if they see this?
Is this a problem with the listings app, or has the EPG fallen off the freeview transponders?

WinTV-HVR-1600 with QAM (running the latest drivers)
PVRX2 1.2.13

I am currently only using the BDA (digital) tuner, but had the same symptoms while I had the analog tuner also active. If it matters, I'm using the HRC QAM.INI to tune in.

When I try to watch live TV, I get an error stating "No Tuners ar available to watch the requested channel...." Yet I can record the program, and either watch it time-shifted, or stop the recording and watch it. So there is a tuner that can record.

If I go to Config, and set it to Use Preview if available, then I don't get the error, but instead I get a blank black screen with no sound. The program isn't frozen, as I have access to the menus and can do everything normally. Even under these conditions, I can record the program, and watch it time-shifted or watch it after recording, and the picture is fine.

When I stumbled upon GBPVR, I was hoping to finally solve all the problems with this tv tuner. The PVR software provided lacks the ability to efficiently find the cable channels. I let it do an Auto scan. There is an "Exact Scan" but no instructions how to use it. Also, I'm using VISTA Basic. Is gbpvr compatilible? If not, can anyone recommend a solution? Can I pick another USB tuner in the list and if so which one? Thanks in advance.
