Hi - this is only interesting for MediaCenter users in Denmark.
The Official XMLTV.EXE grabber has not been working since wednesdag july 16th. :eek:
This is because the source website TV2.DK, has been totaly revamped.
As no other really good XMLTV sources exist in danish, I made one myself.

It more or less replaces the original, and has been working perfectly on my GBPVR system since yesterday.

As a 2 day project, it still has its limitations, but I'm working on it.

I can`t find this tv-tuner in the supported hardware list
also forum search show me some info about U3000 mini - this is fully digital device, but I`m looking for abilty to run analog TV (not mini but hybrid device). Could anybody give me any advice? Thank you in advance.

So... I have GBPVR running on a server PC, with a terratec Cinergy 2400i in it. This works perfectly. I'm now trying to connect another PC to it in client mode.

Both machines have no firewall (I'm behind a hardware firewall), both machines have the KLite (full) codec pack, and both have Power DVD installed.

I've tried changing the Decoder settings (from System Default, to cyberlink, to FFdshow) and tried streaming / file sharing options with the same result every time:

On the client: I can play stuff from the library no problem. the guide shows up fine. If I try 'Live TV' the screen goes black for 10 seconds or so, then kicks me back to the menu.

On the server: When I click live TV (on the client) the tuner status changes to 'recording...whatever the show is' for 10 seconds or so, then goes back to sleeping.

I'd attach client / server logs...but I'm not sure which logs are needed, is it the 'native' ones, or the other ones?

Does anyone encountered the pvrx2 having blank screen during the recording and this only appear if the recording starts during standby? If the pc is not in standby the screen has no problem even when it's doing recording. Whenever my pc is in standby and if there is any recording I will not be able to do anything due to the blankscreen and I will have to wake till the recording is finished for the pvrx2 to work again. Thanks.

Having just installed a DVB-S card, I find that the settings I have used for some time with great success in GBPVR, are not ideal for viewing the 1080i BBC HD, and I would like to hear what others are using...
Although I want to get good BBC HD results, it is hard to change a perfectly good configuration just for it!

Some background:
My usual decoder for H264, MPCVideoDec.ax, gets terrible interlacing on any movement on BBC HD. So reluctantly I changed to CoreAVC. But even then what worked on 720p MKV files was no good - instead of 'none (hardware) for deinterlacing I had to choose weave or bob. Weave still had some interlacing on fast motion, and bob results in a better picture but the sound seriously out of sync - like five seconds! In either case, CPU usage is very high - like 70 or 80%. I also had to change the output format to RGB32, as the usual YV12 was just too dark.

So would be greatfull to know what you use.

I am trying to edit the fonts on a skin and it says to press play to save the new settings.

I am not using a remote control so is there anything I can press on the keyboard that would equate to Play, or even on the mouse?

I have recently installed an analogue tv card. Its an Hauppauge PVR500 with dual tuners. I have installed the associated Hauppauge software with it.

I am thinking of switching to GBPVR.I would like to know if it can detect both the tuners of my TV card and perform simultaneous scheduled recording from 2 different channels.

Secondly, please inform if I can utilize a 3rd tuner (Compro's Videomate X350). Will GBPVR be able to perform simultaneous recording from three channels using these two cards?

Using a Hauppauge 900H to tune into DVB-T broadcasts. This has been working well. But lately trying to add an epg source to found that (coincidentally?) that my 900H is randomly failing.

This is the scenario

Added an epg source to the DVB-T tuner. Scheduled a recording. gbpvr starts recording at the right time but writes 0 bytes to the HD. Then a minute or two later starts writing another file (suffixex -1 in the name) again with zero bytes.

Now all recordings fail on that device. So removed the device, added it back and rebooted. With no epg defined, it records fine.

But now things are getting worse. gbpvr is no longer recording on that source (well creates zero byte files) and occasionally this will be corrected if I reboot the PC. As you can imagine this is hardly satisfactory.

Also I have noticed what when it's not recording and I go into config and rescan channels it finds none. That might explain why there are zero bytes being captured. But remove the source, exit config and go back and when added again, it finds the channels. But a manually scheduled recording still fails unless I reboot the PC.

Happy to post logs and all that but not sure which ones would be of use

I'm a real newbie at this so please be patient. I installed GBPVR version 1.2.13 and in my UpdateEPG.bat consists of the below statements. The last statement is remarked out because apparently this version of GBPVR does not have this file any longer.

The batch file appears to download the schedule data into the xmltv.xml file and also creates a cache directory with files as well in the "C:\Program Files\devnz\gbpvr\" directory. But when I open the TV Guide, there is no schedule data for the channels.

Things I've tried
1. In the source config, I performed the empty EPG and Update EPG.
2. I deleted the cache directory and the xmltv.xml file and re-executed the UpdateEPG.bat.


What am I doing wrong?
