Over time it would be nice for me (since I am almost exclusively a media extender user) to see the following
changes in GB-PVR
1. mpeg-ts to the mvp
2. option of using several programs for transcoding
3. transcode and play a recorded file on-the-fly with specified profile I've been having some success on the pch getting sound on bad streams with one of
mencoder xx -ovc copy -oac copy -of mpeg -o yy
mencoder xx -ovc copy -fourcc h264 -oac pcm -of avi yy
4. Option to Swap Prev and Next and Colour Key navigation on the TV guide.
Server with 1.2.13, 2 x MVP's work OK. XP Client (XP3) OK too.
Been messing with Vista on a laptop as a Client and 1.2.13 (streaming in config). All recordings etc play back fine but Live TV is stuttering. Have missed something basic am sure but couldn't find on thread :confused:
Hi everyone I'm new to this, and I have been trying to get this program to work (GB-PVR) I don't know what I have to do, or what the settings should be, anyone live in NZ that could help me with there settings? I'm wanting to find out how I get Free to View Channels and normal channels, my TV Tuner Card I am using is Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1200, when checking in device manager it is called "Hauppauge WinTV HVR-1200 Model 71xxx, Hybrid DVB-T" can someone please help me, and I have tried reading all about the support info on Hauppauges page but it has been no help, thanks gents & ladies.
When I'm using the MusicLibrary2 plugin the volume keys don't work for me. I have them set up to send ^X and ^Z, and this works in the video player. In the logs I get no keymapping found for ^X or ^Z. Is there something I have to do? Is there a way to change the key mappings?
I'm sure this is something to do with my remote config but I can't figure out what. I have it set to send ctrl-x and ctrl-z (I have a firefly remote and this is set to send ^X and ^Z. It send ^S for stop and ^P for play and this works). but it doesn't adjust the volume. the logs say:

what does this mean exactly? is it sending '^' + SHIFTKEY and then '^' plus X? I can adjust the volume with left and right, but not whilst I'm playing music, which is doing my nut in. Thanks for any help.
I'm testing out MovieWiz and would like to know if MovieWiz automatically updates entries. For example, if I rip a DVD will MovieWiz automatically update the database? I've done a quick search and can't seem to see this functionality as it's a database centered plugin.
If it's not then can we have an update or search new entries button in the UI?
First i had a WinTv Hvr-900 Tv card stick, but that one did not work with Gb-Pvr.
Now i have from a friend a Pinnacle PCTV Hybrid pro stick, after installing the drivers and the software, i want to setup the stick for use in Gb-Pvr, but he doesnt seem to recognize my stick. In manual search my stick is not in it.
What can be the problem, or maybe is this stick also not supported?
I'm on the hunt to upgrade my system's video card. I'm currently using the onboard GeForce 6150, with 128MB allocated to it, on Vista Business. And it definitely gets choppy at times, with SDTV, and HDTV is REALLY choppy. So I'm assuming that it's a video card problem.
I've been doing some searching in the forums here, and so far the only recommendations I've seen from people are the following:
Radeon HD 3650
Geforce 8500 or 8600 GT
Anyone else care to weigh in on a relatively inexpensive video card choice? I'd love to not have to spend more than maybe $75.

80GB SATA drive (OS)

I just bought a tt dvb-c 1501 budget and I do not get all channels with it. I run a complete scan and get some channels, but I am missing some for example the freq. 322 but I do get for example freq. 113. If I use the tt media center I get all channels. What do I do wrong? qam is as far as I know for all freq. and channels 64.
