One of the Google ads I get in the General Discussion page is for Online Interracial Dating. I wonder what there is in the page that triggers that?

sorry if double-posting, i found nothing here like this...

i'm using DVB EPG Broadcast, which fully works with the original program that came with the capture card. with gb-pvr however it seems to cut info-texts after a defined amount of characters. is there any way to solve this?

Can someone point me to a list of ALL the prerequisites for GBPVR to run/install? I'm using a really stripped down version of Windows XP and I get an error "installation ended prematurely because of an error" when I try to install the app.

I presume it's because something is missing from Windows. This version is the one that is installed on the Asus EEE laptops and is missing things like Internet Explorer, Windows Media Player etc.

Has anyone used this or Windows "Fundamentals" with GBPVR? (this just occurred to me - haven't searched the forum for it yet )

I'v installed the WEB-Radio plugin, and on my test-computer it works fine, but when I install it on my dedicated GBPVR computer I hear no sound. The ordinary NET-Radio (using only mp3-streams) works fine on both. Any ideas to solutions?

but would it be possible to add renderer to the settings menu
its just that when you use fullscreen exclusive its a pain for testing to see whats going on and you cant change it easily without restarting the recording service

I like the resume when you go from recordings pending (while recording)
can you add that to the tvguide so when a program is recording i can pick resume(i dont like the popup way cause by then ive already put the remote down)

Is anyone else having issues with the torrent plug-in and community skin? The plug-in works fine using the default blue skin but I get the white screen with red x when trying to open it using the community skin.

Following on from a thread on the support board, and after finding out that PVRX2 needs a little too much wireless bandwidth for streaming SD programs even, depending on your set-up, would it be possible to integrate VLC player into the client streaming viewing side of things ?

If there's a program I want to watch on a wireless client laptop, rather than getting a choppy signal on my laptop, I just set the program to record on PVRX2 and then come out of it and use VLC player to goto my shared recordings folder and watch the program with VLC player, without any chopping signals at all.

Could you include a switch in the misc settings page so that VLC player would be used to watch any streaming programs, and maybe you could set VLC player to open full-screen if required ?

That way I don't think the user would notice any difference at all in the process of using PVRX2, apart from the tons better wireless network performance.

Unsure what you can do with VLC player from a switch point of view when incorporating it into things like this, but I guess this is bread and butter to you in develpment ?

I've tried using the EWA side of GBPVR, and whilst it's great, it's a little more fiddly than my work-flow above, and not as intuitive as just using PVRX2 itself.

I've had a MobiDTV USB receiver for ages and have only just started using it as I've just recently began to receive a decent enough signal for it to be usable. GB-PVR recognises it as a freecom thingy or whatever (can't remember the exact model) and it receives signal just fine. I've set up the EPG to run from XML as it won't update using the MobiDTV EPG updater. The last thing I need to setup is the Remote.

Does anyone have any Idea as to how to configure GB-PVR to work with the MobiDTV remote correctly?

Any help would be great as lying in bed and using the remote would be preferred to getting up to changing the channel every time Big Brother appears i.e. 99% of the time!

Not really a gbpvr question, but it is on my recording box.... My system goes into standby just fine. I have hibernation turned off. I can wake it with the keyboard or mouse, but I can't get WOL to work,which is critical for my MVP use. I have power up by PCI/PCIE devices enabled in the bios, which the book also says enables onboard LAN. I also checked windows in the system section and WOL is enabled. I know lots of people use this board. Does anyone have it working for WOL? Any ideas:confused:

I've tried several times to download the new zap2xml-install.exe from both sites listed in the wiki, but it quits after 500 to 600 KB. Is there another source?
