I have my HTPC in the lounge running gb, in our bedroom we have a crappy freeview box that I need to replace cos it freezes and needs power cycling to sort out.
If I bought a wireless MVP to replace the freeview box would I get the whole GBPVR experience from my bed as well as in the lounge where the pc is?

Just noticed that I have more Simpsons episodes than I am likely to watch in a year (something like 57 hours!).
"The Simpsons" is on at least 4 channels everyday. Some channels play 2 episodes back to back twice a day. I still have not seen them all. Is America great or what??
I installed 1.2.13 shortly after the release. I got an error screen (same thing I received on 1.2.9 I believe). It just said there was an installation error (no code). PVRX2 works but there are several problems.
I'm using Vista Home Premium and I use a limited account for security. When I log onto the limited account, I get dialog box saying 1.2.13 installing. If I allow it to install, I get bluescreens (I use restore points to repair it). Instead I cancel it each time.
Also the Settings Menu flashes but returns me to the Main Menu. There may be other problems but I haven't noticed. Thanks.
I was playing around with my recording sources (adding and deleting), and found it very cumbersome to have to remap all the QAM channels to get the tuning strings reloaded.
I built a tool that allows you to capture and export the current mappings, so when you delete and readd the recording source, you can import to re-populate the tuning settings without having to run the digital mapping tool (which is very time consuming for the channel scan).
I believe you should also be able to use this to map to other Digital BDA devices with the same tuning needs (but I have not tried it).
Thought I'd post it to see if anyone find it useful. BE AWARE it updates the GBPVR database, so MAKE SURE TO BACKUP prior to appying any changes.
There is a dependency on WizUiHelper.DLL (plugins/common) and the SQLite DLL, so make sure those are in the GBPVR directory structure.
To use it:
Fire up WizBdaChannelTool
On the "Save Channels" tab, select the device with the channel mappings you want to save.
The grid will populate with the current channel mappings. Click 'Save' and provide a file location and name.
At this point, I typically deleted the recording source in the GBPVR config program, and re-added it. Once it was added and configured (less the mapping) I continued....
Click the "Load Channels" tab and select the device you want to re-load the channels to.
The grid will be populated with the mapping for that device. If you just re-added, the Tuning request columns will be blank.
Click the 'Load' button, and select a saved channel mapping file (the one you created above).
The Saved Tuning column will now be populated with the old mappings. The checkbox field will be checked for any channels that differ from the current mapping.
Click 'Update' to apply the old mapping to the selected device. BEFORE DOING THIS, MAKE SURE YOU HAVE A COPY OF THE DB.
The target device should now have the mappings and associated channels enabled.
If there is an interest in the tool, I'll clean it up and post on the wiki.
When watching Live TV, the field order is often wrong. Changing channels will fix it fairly often (50/50 maybe?). Getting a fabulous picture, and great that it's playing back with fields, but where should I start looking to fix the field order problem? Is it the gfx card or GBPVR?

I downloaded latest MediaPortal and tried it out.....craches all the time, so then I downloaded previous MP v 0.2.3 and installed it. Same result, hangs an crashes all the time.
But the EPG scraper is good and cover many countries, so I stripped down files until only the needed files and directories was left.
The TVdatabase.db3 file is the only one needed in the database dir.
The complete WebEPG and XMLTV dirs are needed.
Configure channels lineup with WebEpg-conf.exe
Run WebEPG.exe to grab the XMLTV listings......that are saved into the XMLTV dir as Tvguide.xml
PVRX2 + USB-UIRT + Hauppauge remote works OK. I'm trying to replace my plethora of remotes with the Harmony One. It works great except the direction keys scroll 3 times with one key press - it makes selecting main menu items and TV guide items impossible - it skips 3 channels up or down or 3 programmes right or left.
I've taught the Hrmony One the codes from the Hauppauge remote, and I use the PVRX2 Config app to get the USB-UIRT to read the remote signals. I've also used the Logitech database.
Help! I really wanna dump all these remotes. I thought the Harmony One was the ultimate WAF improver - so far it's just another remote...
Troubleshooting
1) Check MDAPIFilter log ( Moved to TV Server logs folder )
2) Use Dependency Walker ( http://www.dependencywalker.com/depends22_x86.zip )
3) Start server using the VistaTrayIcon mode and browse the graph in GraphEdit.
4) Make a zip file with your logs and upload it to zhare or something and make a post here at the DVBN forum.
