I am wondering if anyone can help i have moved on to vista a while a go and i have updated my hauppauge software and still no signal, but when i plug it into my other usb stick its got okay signal but no digital channels, i was wondering if the gbpvr could use my card i will list the specs below the question. but anyway i have been using this card for a long time and it sometimes works with vista then it conks out for some reason i saw the software and thought what the hell i will give it a go, so any feedback would be helpfull

I'm having a problem with a particular channel (History Channel HD) not showing in the EPG. I'm getting the info from Schedules Direct and the data for the channel appears to be in the zap2it.xml file from SD but it doesn't show in the channel listings in the config app. I've blown away the database a couple times and reloaded it all but it still doesn't show. If I add it manually under the capture source in the config app it shows in the guide but shows "no show details". Of course, that's the channel I do most of my recording from. I don't see any errors in the logs. Any idea why it's ignoring that channel?
Does the scan OK, but always crashes with an unhandled exception after it finishes the scan. Tried the updated GBPVRTSmon.ax from the survival guide (re-registered), but it made no difference.

I did a fresh install of XP on my HTPC and thought I had a proper recordings exports file. But I guess I mucked it up! Is there another way to re-import my shows into PVRX2? Using the latest build. Thanks!
I'm facing a weird problem since I installed HD-PVR. When I playback, the position of the recording cannot go beyond 12m48s.
What I mean is that before the playback reaches this point, I can pause, skip fw/bw no prob. But when it gets to 12m48s, it doesn't increment anymore, even if the playback continues. However, as soon as I pause or skip ff/bw, it brings the playback back to 12m48s. A bit frustrating... The recording's total time is fine though.
I noticed the following in the PVRX2.exe-native.log below. The SetVideoPosition shows 768 which is exactly the # of secs in 12m48s.
Could someone shed some light on this?

I'm not sure why, but it isn't allowing me to view QAM channels anymore. I checked and all the channels are still mapped correctly; I can even see a preview of the digital channels when in the config under "Map Digital Channels to EPG Channels", but for some reason I cannot get a picture or audio in Live TV mode. It was working fine before I upgraded.
I just purchased and installed a new Technisat Skystar2 DVB-S PCI card along with the new BDA driver from there web site. The problem is GBPVR detects the card but when I do a scan I get no signal or channels. I have updated the transponder ini files but still nothing. I am located in North America, if anyone could help me out I would be thankful.

ctrl-o no longer brings up the signal strength/quality meter.
I really liked having the Signal strength meter, and now that the
original "Old friend" GBPVR exe is retired, it is no longer an option.
It worked well for me using either of my avermedia ATSC / BDA HDTV tuners.
The posts I saw mentioned that it's not implemented "yet" (as of Jan 2008),
in pvrx2.exe
Is there a plan to restore this feature sometime?
Firstly, I love this program and all the plug-ins that have been developed for it.
That being said, I find it more and more frustrating about the several ways that the program has split directions. It is generally called GB-PVR although that version seems to no longer being actively developed. The version called PVRX2 seems to be the current version of the program but plugins like Slimm GB-PVR still use the GB-PVR terminology.
The above must be very confusing to newcomers but they pale in comparison to the use of the BLUE skin or the COMMUNITY skin.
I expect that a majority of users are using the COMMUNITY skin (as am I) but every time a new version of a plug-in is released it does not always have the skin files for the Community skin.
TV LISTINGS is the latest example of this. First, a new version of the plug-in is released and then we users learn the hard way that it crashes if we run GB-PVR in the COMMUNITY skin mode. Then someone has to come along and make up the appropriate Community skin files. This means that the users then have to find these new skin files and install them once they are made available.
I would like to propose that all new releases of plug-ins be issued with both BLUE and COMMUNITY skin files. At the very least, they should be released with installation programs/files that allow the plug-in to function without crashing regardless of whether the user is using BLUE or COMMUNITY skins.
A third and least desirable option is to release any new plug-ins with a warning that they crash if the user tries to run them in the Community skin. I know developers do not want to state that their application crashes when a user tries it but releasing a plug-in without Community skin files is akin to releasing defective software with known bugs in it.
Hi, this isn't strictly a GBPVR issue but I'm hoping that someone can suggest something. I have the following setup:
WinTV-HVR-1600
GBPVR 1.2.13
Motorolla DCT2224 Cable Box
Windows XP SP3
Last week everything was wonderful, as I wasn't using the Cable Box,
just old-fashioned analog cable. I'm now trying to switch to the Cable Box
using Hauppauge's IR Blaster to change channels.
The IR Blaster config utility works OK, I can successfully use it to change channels. However, I can't get WinTV 6 to actually show me any of
these channels, in particular it does NOT trigger the IR Blaster to change
the channels (I can see the cable box visually).
GBPVR on the other hand DOES successfully trigger IR Blaster to change channels. But the GBPVR Live TV option won't show me any video.
In the GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log I get messages like the
