Ok setup my compro E700
Tested with compro software for signal, works all ok
Now into GBPvr
Setup the signal and card all ok and the correct transmitter
Do a scan and the little preview box shows up a few channels,
Signal strength is 100% and comes through nicely.
however at the end of the scan I get the error about No Channels found Pleas check your signal and configuration settings.
Running this on Vista Home Premium edition.
Can anyone help please? I have scanned the forums to no avail so far.
Ever since I've purchased the pch I've been getting "Unable to connect" messages when I'm browsing the internet with mozilla firefox. I usually reboot my router and cable modem and the problem goes away for a little while. But then it comes back. I'm usually rebooting my router and cable modem 2 or 3 times a day or so. I temporarily disconnected my pch and the problem appears to have gone away, at least so far. I was just wondering if anybody else has had this problem? I posted a similar message on the pch message boards but never got any replies.

I just got a new 780G motherboard that supports "away mode". I understand this is supported now in MCE and allows the PC to go into a non-interactive state where it can still record TV etc. in the background (PC can still sleep/hibernate if doing nothing). The first advantage I could see for me is that a recording can be going on but the wife/kids/cat etc. cannot so easily interfere with it! (as there is not output to the TV and keyboard/mouse are turned off etc.)
I only read a little on it but, if it is feasible, is this something that GB-PVR might benefit from in the future?

I've noticed that GB-PVR is not deleting empty directories when I delete the last recording. Didn't it used to do that? ISTR a setting in config.xml that controlled it but I don't see it now.
It was fairly easy to do so with the wintv application (I have a Hauppauge PVR-USB-2 card) to backup my VHS tape, but now I just cant find any info on the subjet for GBPVR.
Anyone have done that? Hopefully somebody can guide me throught this
I would like to get BBC HD (and ITV HD when available), and I would like to have it working on my HTPC, because
1. There are no Freesat PVR's, so a real bonus if PVRX2 can record.
2. I only have one HDMI socket on my TV, which HTPC is connected to.
3. The cost of a Hauppage S2 card is quite a bit less than a HD Freesat box
4. I would be able to get all the unencrypted Astra channels
5. I want my PC to do everything, with no extra equipment clutter!
I have read through the Freesat threads, and it seems there are problems tuning into the Freesat channels. I would like advice on the viability - anyone succesfully getting the Freesat channels? Recording BBC HD OK?
I keep most of my movies on a seperate machine, which doesn't need to be up all the time. I'd rather let it hibernate most of the time and wake-on-lan it when needed.
The easiest way in terms of usability would be from within GBPVR. To this end I'd like to see the possibility to run something like 'WOL.EXE' when entering MovieWizard.

I've uploaded a new version to the wiki and incorporates dvdshrink to shrink the DVD size to fit a standard DVD if it is too large. It does not attempt to shrink if the project will fit on a standard DVD.
You will have to download and install dvdshrink on your own. This uses autohotkey to drive dvdshrink so you shouldn't use PVRX2 while dvdshrink is active.
I'm leaving on vacation on Friday at 11:00AM CDT, for a couple weeks so any issues after that will have to wait.
