I'm using 98.13b with 2 pvr150 (one pci and one usb) and its been working great.
When Zap2it abandoned us all I wrote my own scraper to get the guides and its been working fine so far.
However a couple of days ago I noticed that the OSD was displaying the wrong title of the program, in fact it was locked in on some prior show. I restarted the machine in hopes it would clear and now all I get is the channel info and no program info. Since the guide is displaying all the correct information and recordings are all working, as they should I am left with 2 questions.
1) Where does the OSD get its information from and if its the epg xml what could I have changed that would make this happen.
2) Could there be some other cause for this (as you might guess with my old version I doesn't change often so not sure what could have happened)
I installed gb-pvr, chose the 7 day trail period and updated epg fine. When I go to Live TV, it closes itself without telling any error information. Where to look for specific reason?
Mine is vista Ulitmate 64 bit, HVR-1600 capture card, Installed hauppauge software initially(do i need to disable anything?).
Any free EPG alternatives, instead of paying 20$ per year? Thanks,
Is there a way that I can request PVRx2 when operating in Full screen exclusive mode to go to shared mode?
I would like to check to see if FSE was set if it was set it to shared then lauch the emulators from gamezone. after emulator finishes then I could set it back to FSE mode.
Is this possible? Do I need Sub to expose some feature for me to exploit?
hi, on the recordings tab of EWA if I want to show for example only 'available' I have to deselect several checkboxes. Of course this refreshes the screen with every deselection so is a bit slow and cumbersome. Even to then change to show only reoccuring I have to select reoccuring (refresh) deselect available (refresh). Is it possible to modify it so I set up the check boxes I want and then hit a submit button so it's done in one move?
I've bought the Hauppauge Nova-t and installed it on an AMD system with 690 Chipset and ATI HD2400 graphics.
The card works for FTA with WinTV and it works for a few channels in GBPVR, TV3, Kanal 5 and Canal+. But for all others I get no picture or sound even for the FTA channels.
I've tried other codecs but no change, if I look at the monitor for MDAPI there is a lot of activity for the channels that work but almost non for the channels that don't work.
Thankful for a few pointers.

I just purchased an HVR-1800 to add to my system so I can record multiple HD shows at once. I can't seem to set the dual tuners up correctly. Both only work as device 1 which does not allow me to record 2 shows simultaneously. When I try different device numbers for either tuner, I can't start the BDA device according to gbpvr. I checked the wiki but the page is so old that the utility recognizes neither card. Does anyone have a solution?

WinXP Pro SP3 + GB-PVR 1.2.13 + WinTV HVR1300
1. Is 9000Kbps the max video bitrate for analog recording? Even when I set 12000Kbps, the recorded video will still be @ 9000Kbps. Wanted to record as high bitrate as possible cos going to re-encode to x264 later.
Wintv2000 can record up to 15000Kbps but it uses about 40% cpu usage during live preview recording. Although Wintv2000 has background recording which use near 0% cpu usage but it can only record up to 4400Kbps.
GB-PVR only use 0 - 3% cpu usage and I can do my own video encoding when GB-PVR is recording. Save me a lot of time. But is there any ways I can increase the max video bitrate?
2. If certain DVB-T card is not in the supported list, does that mean I cannot use the card with GB-PVR?
3. It seems that I need to launch my wintv2000 software at least once whenever I do a cold bootup or restart to "wake up" the tv audio. If I don't do that before using GB-PVR to record analog channels, the recorded video will have buzzing sound throughout the whole video. No such problem if I launch my wintv2000 software at least once.
4. Previously, when I only add HVR1300 analog into GB-PVR capture device, it can detect conflicts when setting analog channels to be recorded.
Then after I add in HVR1300 DVB-T into the GB-PVR capture device, it seems that it cannot detect any conflicts anymore even when I purposely add in some overlapping timing for recording.
Lastly, thanks to GB-PVR, now I can record H.264 HD channels at extremely low cpu usage!
Basically if you save the code as elevate.js in your path, it lets you run programs at a elevated admin level in vista, sort of like a sudo command in linux.
For example to get an administrator command prompt, assuming you are running as Administrator, it's just
