Hi everybody,

I just bought a MSI TV@nywhere Pro (not to be mistaken by 'Plus') tv-card thinking it would be an OK card to get started with. But it seems I am mistaken since I can't get it to work with GBPVR and I've been reading the forums encountering more problems with (slightly different) MSI cards.

It is not supported by default it seems. I've tried adding a Recording Source manually by adding a new device in direct.ini (see config below with comments). It's probably not correct or complete but I can't figure out a lot more. I also tried the checkbox "Only show devices detected in this machine" after I of course installed the drivers. "No known cards detected in this machine" as a result.

Attached you'll find my filtercheck.log. Could anybody help me in the right direction if I still have a chance of succeeding?

I just installed GB-PVR and i'm having problems with EPG. I'm using DVB EPG to grab EPG and GB-PVR maps the channels automatically. But for some reason the channels are not mapped correctly. How can i map the channels manually?

anyone see a reason for a missed recording in these logs?

pc woke from sleep at the right time (7:28pm or so) and i played an avi for the kids - recording was 7:30-8:00pm and is recurring.

definitely saw it as red in the guide earlier today..

appreciate any input (as my untrained eye can't see anything..)

I have an AverMedia M780 i've had working with GB-PVR for a while. I can get the clear QAM HD channels no problem.

But it appears that if I record the HD channels, the recorded video file is not in HD - it's 720x480 like everything else. There aren't any settings for recording: I'm using the BDA plugin and MS-DVR transport stream.

All my local channels are 720p except 1 that's 1080i.

Anyway to fix this?

I have UbuStream 2.2 installed. I was able to go in and add an http://...pls to the 'Stations' section. I created an EPG file, and the channels show up in PVRx2.

I go back into the config tool, and get this error:

Another issue I have is that my screen resolution is only 1024x768 (outputting to a CRT TV) and buttons are hidden behind text areas.

Where to go from here?

I was wondering if theres a way to protect pending recordings, I.E. if I have something set to record upstairs, then a child downstairs on mvp decides they want to cancel my pending recording to record Mr Rogers neighborhood instead of my show......

Hi, is there any way to remove the Exit function on the main menu of Gbpvr ? I use mvp for downstairs and that exit is gone, can I do this from the main system upstairs, just to keep children's fingers out of the rest of the computer......

I have my system set to Hibernate automatically , but when it does this obviously I loose mvp, is there some way to wake the system from the mvp ?

I've been having issues w/ ffdshow & the Arcsoft decoder seemed to do a better job on all of the file types I get, I switched the codec to Arcsoft for all the file types on the Playback tab in the Config app.

I was still having issues, so I checked the logs & it looked like GBPVR was still attempting to use ffdshow even though Arcsoft was selected in the MPEG-2 section.

I then uninstalled ffdshow & now PVRX2 crashes every time I attempt to watch an mpeg2 file - logs STILL show that it's attempting to use ffdshow even though it's no longer on the system.

I ran one of my mpeg files through graphedit & the produced graph shows Arcsoft - any ideas?

I've attacted all logs (even though the file name is misleading)

UPDATE: Forget it - I see later in the file it's using Arcsoft - not sure why it's hanging or crashing (sometimes it hangs, sometimes crashes when playing MPEG-2 files) - on the plus side I got it to play back the H.264 files from the HDPVR :o

I have a my newly built server that I will be rolling out to replace my new server currently under testing in my office. I'm having issues with the sleep mode.

I thought I configured it properly but when I hit sleep mode, but the fans keep running in my case - all of them. It almost sounds like it's NOT in sleep mode if it were not for the blank screen and the blinking on/off switch light.

This is in Vista Ultimate with the gigabyte 780g MB. I have an ASUS 780g MB on a client in XP, and that one actually seems to appear completely shut down when in sleep. What am I doing wrong?
