I tried to view live tv and received the "No tuner available" error message. There is nothing else using the tuner...

I only have one tuner configured. It is a Hauppauge USB2 PVR2.

Only settings changed from the default on this install of GBPVR:
- I added the tuner
- I added 4 channels
- I added a video directory
- Everything else is the default

Any ideas?

I'm enjoying 1.2.13, and having a/v sync problem. The problem is that audio is about 2~3 seconds behind the video. When tuned/played first, they are in sync, but quickly (within a few seconds) the audio falls behind. I'm using ffdshow for video/audio decoder.

When playing recorded materials using other players, there seems to be no sync issues. So I think, it's not because of my not-so-good system (2.0GHz AMD Dual Core, 690G internal video). What I'm suspecting is that I'm NOT using DirectSound as the Audio Render, because when used, the audio stops playing within a few seconds.

Does anyone have similar a/v sync problem, or know how to fix that? I couldn't fix the problem by setting video delay in ffdshow. I think using DirectSound may fix the delay issue, but it's causing more serious problem of losing audio completely.

Is it possible for me to stream the FM from my home box over EWA? If not, is there some other solution? I have channels I can't tune in at work, but want to listen to.

If I start Slimm-GBPVR and open the PVRX2 application from the tray menu, I get correct playback, but the remote doesn't work (Hauppage 45-key). If I start it with the remote (I made this line in the Irremote.ini file: GRNPOWER={run(C:\Progra~2\Devnz\GBPVR\PVRX2.exe)}), the remote is fine, but playback of recordings is shrunk in the horizontal aspect - extreme pillarbox, whichever F7 setting is used. In fact, the top-left & size or the window is different with each of the described PVRX2 startup methods. It is obvious that different cofigurations are being used, but all my hacking abilities have failed to make me see why this is and how to fix it. Can anyone please help me with this?

I am using MovieWiz to watch movies on the PCH. Once I select a movie from the listing, I would like to click the Play button on the remote. Currently, I have to scroll through the synopsis and select Watch. Is there any way to simplify this?

I am trying to establish a raid array to increase the size of the bulk storage on GB system(this does not include disk containing OS).

An XP s/w raid array would suffice, but I was considering using the raid on the mb. The problem being that I did not install the OS as RAID ready when I first installed it and I dont want to reinstall xp with the F6 method.

I have thought of possible workaround in which I move the OS disk from the intel controller to Sil controller on the m/b. I then change the bios for the intel controller to raid mode and install the intel raid drivers in xp. Once installed and I am satisfied the intel raid drivers are working, I move the OS disk back to intel controller and reboot.

Will this method work? Has anyone tried it?

I have many reoccurring recordings which means of course I had quite a few conflicts. When i added my 2nd tuner, my conflicts remained exactly the same even though recording for most of them was possible. To solve this I wrote down my recordings, deleted them, and added them back. The conflicts went away.

I know this is not something people do all the time (add and remove tuners), but thought I would mention it.

I'm about to add a 3rd tuner and I have a few conflicts listed where I have 3 shows that want to record. Since I'm going to encounter this again, I'd like to proactively help resolve this. I'll capture logs before and after. Anything else suggested?

I have finally got my PCH to receive a stream from the latest version of GBPVR using the "TS MUX" option (from a DVB-S signal), however I cannot get any sound at all from TV1 or TV2. I get sound from TV3, C4 and the remaining channels and I get sound on all channels if I use the MPG Cyberlink mux.

There is nothing in the logs that I can see that indicates an error during the streaming so I am wondering if the issue that Sub referred to in another thread regarding TS audio streams being misidentified is the source of my problem also.

Any help would be appreciated.

As a newbie to all this I'm trying to get something setup to record the Tour De France starting this weekend.

I've installed a fresh copy of XP with SP3, installed GBPVR and have connected my Sky Decoder to the PC via a Haupauge PVR150MCE. The picture is fantastic, the functionality of GBPVR is all good but after reading the HIP guide, I damned if I can get the MCE v2 Remote I have to change the channels on the Sky decoder.

Does anyone have a similar setup and been able to get this combination working?

I learn the Sky remote within HIP but when I try to test it I can see the Blaster light flicker where it's taped to the front of the decoder but nothing happens.

Any help greatly appreciated.

Perhaps supporting a North American ATSC Guide App? would be nice, but I guess this PVR does so much already. Just picked up an ATI 9700 HD card to hook to the tv and the picture is awesome even on SD stuff. Will try the new version of GBPVR, did find my winfast App cd and have been tolerating it since, but will try new version of GBPVR as it is an easy try.
