I've just started to use GB-PVR and much is still unknown to me. I got a few questions:
Is there some setting in GB-PVR I can change to record in better quality?
How do I manually add channels? I guess I have to do it with help from tuningassistant.exe, but my card is not in the list in tuningassistant. Though, my card is supported by GB-PVR. It's a Hauppauge NOVA-TD-Stick Diversity.
I have a Hauppauge 1600 dual analog and digital. Works great. I want to add another card to capture digital OTA. Can you recommend what a good 2nd card would be?
I checked availability of the PVR 150, i cannot find it retail anywhere, not sure if it was digital but i think so.
Good to stay with same brand, or would there be driver issues?

Our national television (Croatia) started to broadcast DVB-T signal in h.264 format (mostly EURO soccer championship games). That's the reason I've bought AVerTV Speedy PCI-E H788A Hybrid card. I didnt' have any luck with Avermedia software for h.264 broadcast, mpeg2 works fine. I've tried to use GBPVR with several decoder combinations - CoreAVC, Cyberlink PDVD 8 etc. I have best results with Cyberlink codec. H.264 broadcast is watchable until game starts then problems occur - picture slows down or breaks. I suppose that games have higher bitrate/stream. My current configuration is Windows XP, C2D E6600 2.4GHz, 2GB RAM, nVidia 7600GT, latest drivers. My question is: will I get better results with 8600GT or 9600GSO with purevideo 2 support? Does anyone have any other idea?

I've been trying to think what I've changed recently and not come up with anything other than changing some channel numbers. I did accidently remove a channel from a tuner so had to re-add it but other than that there have been no major changes.
Anyone have any idea what might be causing this?

I have noticed during live TV if I continue to reduce the volume button then suddenly the sound shoot up to maximum. It's a shock when I did that in the early morning. Anyone experience the samething and any solution out there? Thanks.
Something I've done recently has broken the sound on live TV when watching BBC HD. I know the BBC changed the PIDs of the video/audio streams a few weeks ago and I think I've now got those right, so it must be something I've dnoe that's stopping it working. Watching a recorded BBC HD program is fine, oddly.
Can anyone else in the UK who has live BBC HD working properly please post their pvrx2.exe-native log after watching BBC HD live, so I can compare it with mine?
Hi everyone.
I am interested in recording the subtitles of programs, specially in a text format if possible. Is it possible? Can I record the subtitles of a program? Is it possible to save them as they are transferred on teletext or DVB? Or only on a video, recording the program itself, subtitled?
I installed the WinTV application at the direction of their support fellow in order to access settings for Brightness, Contrast, Hue and Saturation. Using WinTV I am able to browse channels and such. But now when I go to Live TV in gbpvr, all I get is static. I've tried deleting and adding my capture sources again (I have a PVR-500) to no avail.
What I decided to go ahead a do was buy the Silverstone LC20, especially since my wife did not like the looks of the old pc and liked the Silverstone. I spent about 3 hours last night/ early the morning pulling everything from the old case and swapping it with the new case, plugged everything in, hit the power button and now my motherboard is not seeing any of my 3 hard drives or my cd-rw. I am not for sure what I did but I am very fustrated. I did add three fans, but that is it. I know I have to be missing something simple, any ideas?

I have a Hauppauge 4000 with some channels on DVB-T and some on SVHS (from cable box). Can record fine from DVT-B and can watch Live TV fine on both (with channels changing via MS IR Blaster).
If I try and record off SVHS the service status says recording - but no file is created, and the status doesnt change - have to restart to get it back up again. Searched forum - but cant seem to find anything related.
Have attached the log I think is relevant - says ERROR_DEVICE_NOT_CONNECTED
but - works fine in Live TV.
