I am having problems where I can't watch live TV or record shows using the standard def tuner. It seems like it is occurring after the system goes into standby.

I checked the GBPVRRecordingService.exe-native.log and it does say "Asking Windows to be awake for recording" multiple times. (I have three or four of each log. Is this normal?)

I am using PVRX2 version 1.2.9. The tuner is a Hauppauge 1600. The HD tuner seems to still work. I have to reboot the computer to be able to use the standard def tuner.

I'm trying to spec a low power silent media center. I've decidied on the motherboard - a GA-MA78GM-S2H. Its freaking nice, HDMI output with MPEG2, MPEG4 and H.264 acceleration.

Finding a low power CPU is harder - they're very difficult to source in Australia. I can get a a AMD Sempron 64 LE-1600 2.2GHz:45W (for $45!) and supposedly combined with the M/B it can manage 1080p fine.

Just wondering if anyone else had tried it or had an opinion

Note:I will be running commercial detection on every recording and a lightweight mail server (!) - only two users

Edit:I could of course just get a Dual Core 4200, but the power consumption and fan requirements would be rather higher. But better that than stuttering playback.

I have had a couple of users ask why the PreviewImages display oddly in Picture Library so today decided it was time to have a look & see what was going on. By adding fixedAspectRatio="true" fixed one of the problems but I still get the odd display as shown in the screen captures. Below is my code from my skin, is this something wrong with my code or something with GBPVR??

When I start up my computer, I notice that there are two instances of PVRX2 in Task Manager. They both take up approximately 300MB of memory.

Is this right?

I do have the program start up 2 MediaMVP servers (I think that is what they are called in CONFIG) but I don't see why there are two copies of PVRX2 that take up a lot of RAM.

I'm back to newbism. I have GBPVR running on a P4 2.4 shuttle box with 2 gb ram, PVR-150, 200GB HD and Media MVP on version 0.84 (if I recall correctly, been almost a year since it's been booted).

These days, what are the minimum hardware requirements and pieces needed to get GBPVR running on a box and output to a TV. What's a pretty common configuration? Is a media mvp still required and/or what are the alternatives? Will my current configuration still run GBPVR?

hi,
i want to build a htpc with gbpvr. momentary i have a dbox2 which is very good. i want to have the channellist in gbpvr like it is on the dbox2. it means you press the ok-button on the remote control and a window pop up. now you can switch with the left/rigt buttont through the bouqets (for example music, sport, movies ...(you can manual build your bouquets)) in a bouquet you see all the cannels and the titel of the programm that is running on a channel (epg) - all on one screen very comfortable.
is this possible with gbpvr? it is very important for me to know because i dont want to miss this feature.

Currently pressing F1 in either Live TV or Video playback brings up a small guide at the bottom of the screen. In a multi channel world you can't really use this to check what you already have set - only see whats on an maybe record that.

What would be awsome would be a similar thing but with a list of pending recordings. Currently, if I'm watching something (usually something I've recorded) and I want to check I've flaged CSI to record or whatever, or I want to see what I've got pending that evening, I have to esc out, go to recording etc then navigate back to the video and resume. A small on screen window listing Pending recordings woul really be usefull. Either F8 or someother shortcut

Anyone feel this would be a hand thing?

The image quality of the images downloaded seems to be pretty bad. I suppose it could be the size, but when I look at the Numb3rs image on epguides.com

It looks much clearer (and likely is larger) then what PIT actually ended up putting in the art folder.

Is there an option for setting the image size?

Can ZProcess be used to transcode MOV files to MPG?
