Just wondered if anyone had used this? I'll looking at building a media centre that wouldn't be required to record TV - solely for video/music/pictures. I played around with it a bit last night on my vista machine, it looks good, but I want something I can customise fully. Remove the menu items I don't want, etc. It wouldn't even prompt to resume a AVI I tested by playing and then stopping and playing again.

Am I missing something or does it just look good and not do much else?

Fatman_do, McBainUK and myself were thinking of maybe doing a logo for the community skin and we'd appreciate some input. I've attached two ideas below, one more abstract and one more literal.

Any thoughts, comments or suggestions would be very welcome.

So I have struggled with this for the last 3 hours and am so close to getting this think working. I can now view video via my stb. The only thing left is getting the IR Blaster to work. This box is a Insignia brand from Best Buy. I have fired up the IR Blaster configuration wizard and of course, there is no Insignia brand. I thought this would be the case, I spent an hour calling Radio Shack trying to get the Zenith brand, but no luck. Does anyone have any idea how I can get this IR Blaster to work with this Insignia brand box? Thanks!

I just spent the last 2 hours attempting to map my QAM channels to the Comcast Lineup in Houston and I must say it is a slow and painful task.

Would it be possible to start and maintain a database of QAM to Lineup cross ref?? I know it would have to be Cable Company Specific, and probably location specific as well.

Something like this would really help new installes and rebuilds.

I just switched from ctpvr listings to yapi2xml listings. Everything looks good but there are no channel numbers listed in the guide( just the station call letters). Any suggestions to fix this?

I'm running GBPVR 1.2.9 with mvpmc dongle 0.3.4.

The dongle is booted from a Solaris 10 box and works fine with my ReplayTVs, the weather, etc.

When I select emulation mode from the main menu, it goes into GBPVR mode just fine. I can browse the TV guide and recorded shows. But if I select a recorded show to play, or live TV, the screen goes blank for about 5 seconds and then back to the main menu.

I have disabled my windows firewall.

Any thoughts as to why it's doing this?

I am trying something new with my setup. I have a WinTV-HVR-1600 which I am using to receive ATSC broadcasts. I have just connected a converter box to the Analog-In of my HVR-1600, with the intent of making recordings which I can use on my MVP without any transcoding.

Here is the sticky part: I want the channels from each capture source to show up independently, because sometimes I want to record via the digital input, and other times I want to record via the analog, depending on how I will be using the recording. If I just set up both capture sources, GBPVR treats them as equal, so I have no control over which capture source gets used.

It seems to me that the solution would require that I rename the channels that I am using from the analog input. Is there any way that I can rename the channels that come from the SchedulesDirect lineup, or any other way that I can choose the capture source when I schedule a recording?

Should Ctrl-Z/Ctrl-X be working for volume control in the musics player? no effect on my PC.

Using the Left/Right arrow keys works for volume in LiveTV and Recordings.

Is there a way to stream content from hulu.com through the MediMVP to your TV? Or am I just dreaming?

Part D, Step 3 of your Installation/Survival Guide states we should edit config.xml to add PCH features.

Is there a particular place in the config.xml file we should add these commands? Should we add it as another subsection within the <MVPSpecificSettings> sections of the file?
