Jon, who is is working on mvpmc for the PCH, while I work temporarily on this emulation mode client fork, just told me that the recent attempt to show the GBPVR UI while the PCH is playing internet radio won't work because the hack also steals the HDMI audio.
Could someone confirm this and I will change this into an optional feature for those that use the analog or SPDIF audio (like me).
Hello All, I just setup a new HTPC. I read here where someone here had gotten QAM to work on there ATI Theater 650 pro. I know there's an entry in the master ini. file for QAM. I've tried setting it up with both inputs but no luck. I wonder if someone could run though the setup. Maybe then I can figure out what I'm doing wrong. I know the QAM channels a available on my cable system I have a lcd tv upstairs the will receive them. Thanks.
Anyone experience some Xvid files cannot be playback? Not every Xvid experience this but only some. However these files can play back perfectly ok in window media but not GBPVR. Any setting in config? Thanks.
I have a 2nd XP user that my kids use to watch recordings with some restrictions so that they don't mess with my windows setup. The 2nd account is part of the Administrators group so has full rights to the c:\program files\devnz\gbpvr directory. It just can't access managment tools and control panel.
Everything works except that they can't resume shows becuase of the ReadOnly database error below. pvrx2 logs attached.
Does anyone know what windows permissions need to be set to access the database?

I just installed gbpvr, it looks really nice and I would like to be able to use it instead of Vista Media Center, but my tuner card isn't listed so Live TV doesn't work. Is there a way to set up a card that isn't listed?
Control Panel calls my card Creatix saa7131 triple capture card. Help would be much appreciated. Thank you.
I have a few tv cards in my pc. 1 analogue - 1 sat - 1 sat+DTT.
my problem is that when i added channels to the analogue card - it has created duplicate channels - and doesnt seem to realise that the channel name already exists.
e.g.
my sat card already has 'TV ONE' , 'TV2', 'TV3' etc etc
I added on the analogue card the same channel names and assigned them to whatever frequency number was required for each in canterbury.
However i now have 2 x TV ONE , 2 x TV2, 2 x TV3 etc etc
This does not happen when i have the same channel available via a digital source.
Is this caused by the fact that the analogue card cannot share the same channel names?
i have had to assign the same channel numbers to the duplicates - but i dont think this will work that well either.
any tips on how i can get all the sources to behave and just have 1 x TV ONE (which can be retrieved as such from 3 sources).

can somebody tell me how I can add an analog capture card. The example shown in the wiki is only for digital cards and I do not have the mentioned entry BDA Receiver at the GraphEdit.
Would the current version of gbvr work with Hauppage WinTV Nova USB?
My father's PVR (running 1.0.16) is experiencing a problem which I can't replicate on my PVR (also running 1.0.16). Any program scheduled to record using the Guide screen via an MVP is being written to the "Manual Recording" folder, and has no episode information, but it does have the show title. On my system the same procedure works just fine (unique show folder, full details).
I realize this is now a twice back-leveled version, but since I'm on the opposite side of the continent from him and can only do support via VNC, I'm hoping to fix the problem without an upgrade.
